Environment Management System Manual
Purpose
The Skretting Australia Environment Management System Manual is designed to achieve the
following:
• Provide our stakeholders with a concise overview of how we manage the environmental impacts of
our operations at 26 Maxwells Road, Cambridge
• Serve as a reference for all employees
Scope
The Management System covers Skretting Australia’s activities at 26 Maxwells Road, Cambridge.
No requirements of the AS/NZS ISO 14001 standard have been excluded.
Policy
As a manufacturer of fish feed for Australian and New Zealand aquaculture operations, we strive to
minimise our impact on the surrounding environment and promote the long-term environmental
and economic sustainability of our operations. We also strive to demonstrate committed care for
community safety and the health and welfare of our employees.
Our scope encompasses the operations and employees at our Cambridge site.
Key Stakeholders
Key stakeholders are identified in the development and review of our Aspects and Impacts Register.
This process informs our Stakeholder Communications Strategy.
We conduct system inductions, awareness sessions, regular toolbox and team meetings with our
employees which cover communications about our environmental system.
Needs and expectations from our customers are gathered through our customer feedback and
complaint processes as are our interactions with the local community.
We annually conduct third party reviews of our compliance and obligations in relation to legal and
legislation requirements.
Management Team
The General Manager is responsible for monitoring the activity and effectiveness of the Environment
Management Team and ensuring appropriate resources are available to support the system.
Skretting is required to report key environmental activity and compliance to Nutreco Corporate HSE
each year and to the Skretting Global Sustainability Team for Sustainability reporting
The Manager Organisational Development oversees the management system, its development and
improvement, whilst the Manufacturing Manager is responsible for implementing all operational
aspects of the system ensuring our compliance.

Environment Team
Skretting has an Environmental Team whose mandate is to oversee the implementation of the
Environmental Management System. This team comprises members from the Management Team,
Manufacturing, Logistics and Purchasing.
Planning
As part of our planning processes, the Management Team and the Environment Team utilize the
following documents and planning processes:
Compliance Obligations
Our main compliance obligations are, but not limited to, Clarence City Council, Tas Water and
SHV/Nutreco.
Compliance Evaluations
The evaluation of our compliance obligations occurs as part of our annual planning cycle. This is
detailed in the Environment Team Annual Plan and Aspects and Impacts Register.
Risk Matrix
The risk matrix is a component of the Aspects and Impacts register, providing a heat diagram which
assists with setting targets, prioritizing our actions and conducting our reviews.
Support
The training and competence needs of our employees are continually reviewed and determined in
response to managing our most significant impacts, achieving our targets and preventing non-
conformances.
Operational Control
Operational controls for our Environment Management System are managed by the Manufacturing
Manager, Purchasing Manager, HR Manager and Outbound Logistics Coordinator. There are
operational controls for all our significant aspects. These controls are supported by documented
work instructions and procedures, regular review, maintenance and monitoring.
Our major operational controls to manage our most significant aspect, odour, are:
• The Biofilter
• Trade Waste system
• Mill Operator and Truck Driver Procedures and monitoring
Performance Evaluation
Our performance data is captured daily in the Enviromaster database. Our performance is evaluated
and communicated in the following meetings and reports:
• Daily monitoring
• Weekly Operations Meeting
• Monthly reports
• Management System Reviews
• Sustainability Reports

Improvement
Through our annual planning cycle there is a focus on continual improvement of all systems and
processes. Within the Environment Management System we capture non-conformances in our
incident database; we investigate and take actions to prevent.
Records
Records are maintained in the Enviromaster on the shared drive and in our document management
system.
