CONSEAL 250
Liquid Jointless Polyurethane Waterproofing System
Description CONSEAL 250 is a revolutionary single component permanently elastic
Polyurethane waterproofing membrane which after polymerization forms
an elastomeric polyurethane membrane, resisting UV rays and capable of
handling building movements.
Once cured CONSEAL 250 allows for expansion and contraction over a
broad temperature range and maintains waterproofing properties under
continuous exposure to water. It may be applied easily on different
surfaces (concrete, mortar, brick, ceramics, bituminous membranes, steel,
zinc, Aluminum).
Features Excellent resistance to water and microorganism
Resistance to temperature variation.
Waterproofed surface provides excellent weather resistance and UV
resistance
Provides sun reflectivity, contributing to thermo-insulation.
It offers a seamless waterproofing system, allowing for easy
localization of damage and repair.
Does not need the use of open flames (torch)during application.

type of surface
When applied it is joint less and no complicated detailing, therefore

Provides water vapor permeability, so the surface can breathe.
Resistant to detergent, oil and other domestic chemicals
Areas of Use
Waterproofing of concrete, tiles and metal surfaces such as roof,
terraces and balconies, planter boxes, retaining walls etc.
Waterproofing and protection of concrete construction like bridge
decks, tunnels, stadium stands etc.
Waterproofing of green roofs, flowerbeds, planter boxes, kitchen,
auxiliary rooms etc.
Application
Surface Preparation
Adequate and detailed surface preparation is essential for durability of
product after installation. Before application surface must be clean,
dry and without contamination. The compressive strength of substrate
must be at least 25MPa and cohesive bond strength must not be less
than 1.5MPa. All loose concrete, chirpings and dust should be
removed, and uneven surface smoothened with the aid of grinding.
Priming
Prime absorbed surface like concrete, cement screed or wood with
Costar Primer. Allow the primer to cure according to its technical
instruction.
Application
Stir well before using. Pour Conseal 250 unto the primed surface and
lay it out by roller or brush until all surfaces is covered. Apply another
layer or the conseal 250 not later than 48 hours. Reinforce always with
geotextile fibre at problem areas.

Technical Properties

Coverage
1.4-2.5Kg/m2 applied in two to three layers. This coverage is based on
application by roller onto a smooth surface in optimum conditions. Factors
like surface porosity, temperature and application method can alter
consumption.
Storage Conditions/Shelf Life
All products should be stored in original packaging at temperatures
between 5°C and 25°C. Protect products from all sources of heat, moisture,
frost and direct sunlight. When opened product should be consumed

immediately unless bucket can be sealed back without allowance for air.
Shelf life for all products is 9 months maximum. CONSEAL 250 is packed in
25kg pail.

Health/Safety
In case of contact with skin and eyes, wash with plenty of water.
Protective mask should be worn during the preparation of the product.
