1) Formulate and decide on the Core and Essential areas including the assessment
criteria and indicators, according to the development priority and thrust of the
Local Government Unit of Plaridel.
2) Create a BSGLG Assessment Team and appoint members from among the
Committee to be chaired by the MLGOO/DILG.
3) Ensure that the appointed Assessment Team Members are expert in the
identified criteria and indicators for the assessment process.
4) Set a definite schedule to undertake the BSGLG Program.
5) Upon receipt of the Official List of BSGLG Awardees from the Assessment Team,
the Committee shall confirm the same and furnish the result to all 33 Barangays.
6) Appropriate funds for the overall implementation of Barangay Seal of Good Local
Governance Program.
7) Determine rewards and incentives for the BSGLG Awardees in the form of
development projects.
8) Continuously monitor the performance of the BSGLG Awardees.
9) Perform other duties and functions as the committee may decide.
The Team shall conduct an orientation to all barangays on the BSGLG Program
one month prior to the validation process. It shall do a validation and certification

through documentary review, interview and onsite inspection to ensure reliability and
quality of barangay data.
With the use of an Assessment Tool, it shall determine and indorse on time the
Official List of BSGLG Awardees to the BSGLG Committee, through the Chairman, for
approval.
