[Announcement that Ceremony is About to Begin]


The Santiago National High School Commencement Exercises are about to begin. We expect
the Commencement Exercises to last approximately ___ hours so before we begin this
ceremony, let me remind you to turn your cell phones to silent mode and be courteous around
you by refraining from talking aloud. During the presentation of graduates, we encourage you
to express your pride by applauding and cheering.

[Introduction]
CHRISTIAN; Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. Graduation day is always a day of
rejoicing for it marks the conclusion of an educational journey and the commencement of
another more uncertain and more difficult part of man’s quest for a better life and future.
Truly, today signifies the culmination of many years of hard work in the relentless pursuit of
knowledge: knowledge that will enable a person to embrace opportunities and take on
challenges with clear vision and purpose.
CHATELINE: Today we stand on the edge of a great adventure. Graduation is not the end;
it’s the beginning. A year of hard work has resulted in this moment.
BOTH: We welcome you all to the “the 2nd Graduation Ceremony of Santiago National High
School
with its theme “ Pagkakaisa sa Pagkakaiba-iba:Edukasyon Para sa Lahat”/ “Unity in Diversity:
Education for All”.

With so much cheer, let us laud the graduands as they march towards the venue.
Parents, Guests, Graduands….
At this time, let us welcome the Candidates for Graduation for School Year 2018-19. This
batch is composed of 3 sections, namely: Section Rubellite headed Mr. Judy D. Dumawa,
Section Rosolite headed by Mrs. Louvelle M. Purugganan, Section Rosaline headed by Mrs.
Laiza Marie H. Ordas.
Let us also welcome the Santiago National High School faculty, alongside our guests for today-
Dr. Mark E. Manzano .

Ladies and Gentlemen, behold the entrance of colors.

[Call to Order, Invocation, Lupang Hinirang/Awit Sa Bohol]


The 2nd Commencement Exercises of Santiago National High School is now in order. May I
request everyone to please all rise for the Doxology to be led by – Ethel Grace M. Balbin
(With Honors) which will then be followed by the Lupang Hinirang to be conducted by Maricris
T. Dasalla (With Honors).

[Introductions]
BOTH:
Members of the graduating class, honored guests, PTA Officers present, faculty, staff,
students, family, alumni and friends – I am Mr. Christian Ea and I am Mrs. Chateline S. Dulay,
the Masters of Ceremonies for the 2nd Graduation Ceremony. First and foremost,we thank you
to the members of the Commencement Committee who spent many long hours planning this
day and to the many others that have helped to organize and plan this commencement
exercises. Your efforts are well appreciated.
[Words of Welcome]
Welcoming you here for today’s momentous event is especially meaningful as we honor our
graduates and celebrate their achievements. To formally welcome us all, may I call on, Shiela
Edeleon (With Honors) for her Welcome Address.
Ending: Thank you Shiela, for that heart-warming welcome speech.

[Presentation and Confirmation of Candidates]


Commencement also provides an opportunity to recognize Santiago National High School’s
outstanding faculty and staff –who are dedicated to providing the highest quality education
and to making a positive difference in the lives of our students. May I request the members of
the faculty and staff to please rise. [Pause] Ladies and Gentlemen, please join me in saluting
our faculty with a round of applause.

Education I a rigorous process and completing the required 199 school days was never a
blockade for the __ students to pursue in completing the Grade 12- k to 12 Curriculum
requirements. And now, here they are, with smiles on their faces, very excited to get their
diplomas. So without further-a-do, may I call on Mr. Judy D. Dumawa, one of the Grade 12
Advisers to present the candidates for graduation to Dr. Natividad B. Reyes, Principal III,
which is then followed by the Petition for Graduation by ms. Gemma Q. Tacuycuy, CESO V,
Schools Division Superintendent.

This is it! Finally you have received the proof of your hard work. You have now your gadget,
the basic education…. Your ALMA MATER has given you. As the old line goes “this is not the
end but a new beginning” You have passed the initial step and you have to step to another
bigger challenge.

For the graduates, Congratulations!

It is said that the quality of a person’s life is in direct proportion to his or her commitment to
excellence regardless of the chosen field of endeavor. Ladies and gentlemen, let us recognize
those students’ ordinary things extraordinary well.

Congratulations once again to the honor graduates. I bet your parents are indeed so proud of
your achievements. No doubt of that, I’m sure!

Our Secretary of Education, Leonor M. Briones has a message to impart to all of us and
most especially to the graduates of Batch 2019. And on his behalf,
_____________________will do the honor of reading her Graduation Message and also
________________ will do the honor of reading the message of our Regional Director,
Malcolm S/. Garma, ___________________ to read the message of our Schools Division
Superintendent, Ms. Gemma Q. Tacuycuy.
 Thank You very much madam/sir. I hope the graduates will internalize the message for
their own consumption as they travel along the path towards success.

Now, May I give the floor to Precious May H. Gambon, With Honors , to introduce our Guest
Speaker for today’s very significant affair.

How about another round of applause to your new graduates, the Batch 2019 of Santiago
National High School?

Dear graduates the moment you have been waiting for has finally come. The fruit of hard work
and discipline will finally be reaped. You will now be receiving your prized diploma, a symbol of
accomplishment.

May I request __________________________________to assist Dr. Reyes in handing out the


diplomas to our graduates. At this point, may I request our honored guest Dr. Mark E.
Manzano to join Dr. Reyes in congratulating our graduates.

To express the sentiment of batch 2019, may I call on the academic excellence awardee, the C
Emmy Marinel Rafanan, With Honors, for her farewell speech.
Ending: Thank you Emmy, that was very moving! And once again Congratulations!

Music is the expression of the soul. It moves emotions and feels with the movement of time.
Through a song that emphasizes that the strength amidst challenges, let us hear the
graduates sing “the Journey”.

[Tribute to Parents and Teachers]

The batch 2019 graduates would have not reached this far, if not because of the people beside
them. At this point, the graduates would wish to take this opportunity to thank you
parents/guardians and teachers one way or another for your unending support. Ladies and
gentlemen, let us hear our graduates sing “IINGATAN KA” and “DO I MAKE YOU PROUD”.

To lead the class in their pledge of loyalty, may I call on Ms. Ethel Grace M. Balbin, With
Honors.
[Alumni Oath]
Graduation also marks the graduates enlistment to the Santiago National High School’s Alumni
Association, to officiate the formal induction of Batch 2019’s inclusion to the Alumni
Association, may I call on Ma. Abegylle A. Esmeralda for the Alumni Oath.

To formally close today’s event, may I call on Florie Jade A. Egar, With honors.

Special Announcement….

The closing hour has finally arrived. Tomorrow, new challenges and opportunities await our
graduates that will further test their mettle as improving individuals. As they continue with
their journey, may they look back to this stage in their life with fondness and pride. Ladies and
gentlemen, this concludes the 2nd Graduation Ceremony of Santiago National High School.
This has been Mr. Christian Ea and Mrs. Chateline S. Dulay, thank you for coming.
