    ARCHITECTURE THESIS PROGRAM:

    • The Architecture Thesis Program is composed of two parts


    namely Architectural Design 9 and Architectural Design 10.
    • At the end of the program, the students should be able to:
    • Propose a relevant, feasible and creative Architectural
    Design Solution to an existing Physical Problem.
    • Apply the Architectural Design Process in the development
    of their design solution.
    • Justify and defend their solution to the best of their ability.
    COURSE OUTPUT:

    ✓ Thesis Manuscript (Chapter 1 to 5)

    ➢ Chapter 04: Results and Discussion
    ➢ Chapter 05: Conclusion/Summary of Findings (only)

    • Design problems (areas of interest) such as educational campuses,
    Hospitals, urban centers, multi-use buildings, shopping complexes,
    concert halls, museum and art galleries, transport buildings etc.
    • Minimum three design problems (areas of interest) should be done
    by each student.
    • At least one of the problems containing multifarious activity spaces
    in one building is approved by the panel of juries.

    ➢ Technical definition of the proposed title
    ➢ Statement of the problem
    ➢ Definition of the target user (projected
    user base on population)
    ➢ Project Description (scope, design
    requirements, data analysis, project
    component)
    ➢ Conceptual framework
    ➢ FLAR (floor to lot area ratio)
    ➢ Probable cost of the project
    ➢ Building/Construction Cost, Land Development Cost,
    and Land Cost
    ➢ Conclusion (Preliminary Design Concept)
    PRESENTATION OUTLINE:

    ✓ SITE JUSTIFICATION
    ➢ Land use and zoning
    ➢ Accessibility of target user (transportation
    via land, sea, air, or combination;
    catchment area; etc.)
    ➢ Availability of utility systems (power &
    water source, sewage & solid waste
    disposal, communication lines, etc.)
    ➢ Topographical data of the site (site profile,
    vegetation, existing structures, etc)
    ➢ Climatic condition of the site (macro and
    micro)
