 Reviewed past literature to understand health and nutritional problems related to recently
settled immigrants. Identify causes of struggles for immigrants settling a new country
 Considered and carried out APA ethical principles when proposing a study on immigrant health
and nutritional needs. As well as mental health
 Worked closely with advisor to create multiple drafts related to the topic
 Planned a program that would help address refugee nutritional and health problem during the
first year of settlement in Salt Lake City

Walkways to Westminster is a college access program for first-generation, underrepresented youth in
grades 6–12. In this program, Westminster College students serve as mentors to youth, supporting
them in their academic success, college preparation, career planning, English language learning, and
life skills.

Step-Out August 2018 – Present

Promise South Salt Lake, Westminster College

Step-Out is a program for first-generation, underrepresented youth in grades 6–12. In this program,
youths are provided with the opportunity to do an overnight camping trip lead by students from
Westminster Outdoor Program. Students are given the opportunity to expand their knowledge on
outdoor recreation and engaging more with their community.
