    Date Process Journal

    Week 2 Monday and Wednesday Our group had our first guitar session, Rinaaz and I
    chose to play guitar. (we had no choice
    #justiceforrania). The first song we learned how to
    play with our teacher as practice was ‘Smoke on the
    water’.

    When it was time to choose a song we want to


    perform, our song ideas went back and forth and
    back forth and then after several attempts to try and
    learn different songs, until we just decided to do
    ‘smoke on the water’. Never felt more useless in my
    entire life. 😂

    Week 3 Monday and Wednesday Sania and Nour started learning the keyboard and
    Rinaaz and I were still wallowing in our own misery
    about not being able to play one song. In the end,
    we learned the chords for the chorus, and started
    our website, ahem correction, I started our website
    *pat pat*.

    Week 4 Monday and Wednesday On our website (still taking all credit), we added our
    biographies in and included things like our age and
    why we are in the band. We (I, ahem) also added
    band merchandise to the website that we (I, ahem)
    created. We (Yup, it’s still me) even added a
    smoothie line.

    We finalised our band name and our website and we


    finished with that. Now comes the scary part,
    actually learning the music * horror music intensifies
    * * random woman starts screaming * (random
    woman turns out to be Rania) whoops.

    Week 5 Monday and Wednesday Today, Rinaaz and I worked on our song while Sania
    and Nour were learning the piano (taking photos on
    Rania’s laptop. Shhhh) We are pretty proud of the
    work that we (I, ahem) did and we would definitely
    look forward to doing these kinds of things again.

    (just saying, I was joking (ahem, not) about the me doing


    everything part. Everyone played their role (ahem, no they
    didn’t). I’m going to stop now. Goodbye.
