A STUDY ON TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT IN INSURANCE SECTORE

PURPOSE OF THE STUDY:

Training & Development as a function concerned with organizational activity aimed at bettering the job
performance of individuals and groups in organizational settings.

Training and development can be described as "an educational process which involves the sharpening of
skills, concepts, changing of attitude and gaining more knowledge to enhance the performance of
employees”.

OBJECTIVES:

1. To identify need of training


2. To analyes the satisfaction level of employees on training and development
3. To determined what training and development has impact on outcome of employees
4. To give suggest as now to increase effect of training

KEY QUESTIONS OR RESEARCH QUESTIONS:

1. Does training and development is necessary?

2. Does the content of training and development program is related to employee’s job?

3 .Does training and development impact the learning outcome of employees?

HYPOTHESIS:

Hypothesis 1:

H0: There is no significant difference between the perception of male and female employees.

Ha: The difference is significant between the perception of male and female employees.

Hypothesis 2:
H0: The difference is not significant between the perception of graduate and post graduate employees.

Ha: The difference is significant between the perception of graduate and post graduate employee

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY:

T h e R e s e a r c h a n d M e t h o d o l o g y a d o p t e d f o r t h e p r e s e n t s t u d y h a s been systematic
and was done in accordance to the objectives set which has been detailed as below.

Research Definition
Research is a process in which the researcher wishers to find out the end result for a given
problem and thus the solution helps in future course of action.

Nature of Research:

Descriptive Research:

These studies are concerned with describing the characteristic of a particular individual or a
group.

Determining sources of Data:


There are two main sources of data
1. Primary data
2. Secondary data 30

1. Primary Data:
It consists of original information collected for specificresearch. Primary data for this research study was
collected through a directsurvey to obtain this primary data a well structured questionnaire
was prepared by the researcher.

2. Secondary Data:
It consists of information that already exists some where and has been collected for some
specific purpose in the study. The secondary data for this study is collected from various Japanese
Management books .

Questionnaire:
A set of questions containing a few Technical questions and more number of Opinionated questions
are prepared for the employees of both Centralized and Decentralized sections of HR Department.

Sample Size:
Total sample size is 100

Questionnaire Development:
Questionnaire is the most common instrument in collecting primary data. In order to gather primary data
from viewers.

The present questionnaire consists of following type of questions.

Open ended questions


Closed ended questions
Multiple choice questions
Ranking question.

WORK PLAN:
As I’m working under recruitment team it is helpful for my study to analyse and understand the
issues in the organization.

To know the outcomes and how the process are happening.

To be part in the process actively and learn about it.

To start with Cold calling, Recruitment and sales in Tele-calling, Interview scheduling.
