Thank You from the Walkathon Coordinators

Congratulations to Ms. Allan's class for winning this year's Walk-A-Thon. Not only did they raise the most money but
also had the highest number of participants!

Many thanks to all the volunteers that braved the bitter cold to help with this event. Thank you also to all the
families and friends that made the Walkathon a success. We raised more than $13k through your generosity (still
waiting for more to come in). Thanks to your support, the kids are able to enjoy enrichment programs, school
improvement projects, and many more community initiatives.

Inclement Weather Arrival Plan

As fall settles in and the barometer drops, there is a need to outline Bishop's inclement arrival plan...
On mornings when it is raining, snowing heavily, and/or when the temperature is below 20 degrees, to include wind
chill and real feel factors, we will run an INDOOR arrival. Note: The RealFeel Temperature is an equation that takes
into account many different factors to determine how the temperature actually feels outside. It is the first
temperature to take into account multiple factors to determine how hot and cold feels

Grades k-2 report to the Gym

Grades 3-5 report to the Cafeteria

When you arrive on campus, your child may enter through the front or back door. Parents and family members say
goodbye at the door.

If you are wondering if it’s an indoor arrival, you will see a red flag posted on the Bishop School sign in front of the
school
Proper Cold Weather Attire - Regardless of the temperatures during the late fall and winter months, please ensure
that your child comes to school equipped with the proper winter gear (hat, gloves, jacket, and appropriate footwear)

Winter Gear For Bishop Recess Closet

Getting ready for winter by sorting through your children's winter gear? If you have jackets, snow pants,
boots, hats, gloves, or other warm clothing that are too small for your children, consider donating them to the
Bishop Recess Closet. This closet provides all Bishop students with clean, dry, and warm clothing so that
they can play comfortably on the playground and do their best learning in the classroom. Donations of clean
clothing items may be dropped off at Ms. Bell's classroom or left in the main office for Ms. Bell to pick up.
Thank you in advance!

In Search Of the Fundraising Coordinator

Please contact Elisa Komoni and Christina Marko by emailing bishopschool.pto@gmail.com to find out more
about these positions or if you’re interested.

Fundraising Coordinator - The Fundraising Coordinator, a board position, oversees and schedules
PTO fundraising events with the Co-Presidents, generate ideas for future events, and manage
ongoing fundraising initiatives. As the event schedules have been set for this school year, the
fundraising coordinator will work with our already-assigned very-capable event coordinators and then
manage other fundraisers, for example, the camp auction.

Fundraising Assistant - The Fundraising Assistant will assist the Fundraising Coordinator in the
duties listed above.

The Bishop Play 2020!

Thank you to everyone who registered for this year's Bishop Play
production. We had an overwhelming response, with more than
200 children registered for Honk Jr!...and more asking to be
added to the waitlist. At this time, we will not be able to accept
any waitlist registrants.

Based on the tremendous interest and our need to manage the

safety of 200+ children during rehearsals and performances, we
will be capping the number of kindergartners participating this
year. If you registered a kindergartner and are impacted, you will
be notified in the coming days.

Thank you for understanding and we will be in touch soon with more details on the play season.
