    NOTICE FOR APPLYING FOR CHANGE OF BRANCH

    Students moving to the 2nd Year of 4Yr B.Tech/5 Yr. Int. M.Tech/5 Yr. Dual Degree Programmes,
    who were admitted through JEE (Advanced) during the academic session 2018 – 2019 in first year,
    may apply for change of branch. The change of branch will be considered on the basis of performance
    in the first and second semester examinations abiding the rules of branch change. For details of the
    current branch rules, please see Annexure -I.

    The students willing to opt for change of branch must apply using institute MIS during
    09.04.2019 to 28.04.2018 without waiting for the result of 2nd semester examination. Once the
    application is submitted, no further modification or withdrawal is allowed. Therefore, students
    are requested to take utmost care while applying for change of branch. No
    handwritten/hardcopy of the application will be entertained.

    The list of candidates applied for Change of Branch will be hosted on the institute website and will be
    available during 3rd May 2019 to 10th May 2019 for the information of concerned students. Any
    grievance in the hosted list should be intimated to the office of Chairman, JEE (Advanced), IIT (ISM),
    Dhanbad ONLY from their registered email id in the MIS to:chairman_jeea@iitism.ac.in on or before
    10thMay 2019 by 5.00 PM. No grievance will be considered from other email ids and/or submitted
    after the stipulated date and time.

    The final list of students permitted for change of branch will be hosted on the institute website
    tentatively by 18thJune 2019. They are required to re-register on MIS for the changed branch at the
    time of opening of the institute for Monsoon Semester 2019 – 20.
