REFLECTION

In our values subject, I learn the qualities of values, it is good, right, useful, beauty, important
and essential. And the values are enable man to change the self control and self direction. The
value is came from the latin word ”valere”. There are two kinds of values relative and absolute.
Relative values are can change anytime, but absolute are permanent like an education it is not
steal to us if we have an education. Our values are can be shared and maybe become pattern in
our life to get a better life. In basic Filipino values, many Filipino are belief in god many family
are going to church every Sunday and it is connect to the value of love and family orientation.

In basic Filipino values many of us are hardworking and industrious they need to become
hardworking for their family and for their future. In negative Filipino values I learn that many
Filipino are lack of discipline because they didn’t know how to wake up early to go to job and to
the school that’s why cause of late. In the difficulties of Filipino attitude, many Filipino are lack
of knowledge that man ought to know or ought to have, many Filipino are complaisance or
laziness that’s why they didn’t increase their knowledge and they didn’t get a better job.

Amoral principle it means “the end just not justify the means” or “the means just not justify the
end.”

Norms of morality it is a standard or measurement of the quality of human act. It has a two norm
of human act law and conscience. There are two types of law, eternal law or divine law and
natural law or innate or inborn. It has a properties of natural law universal, obligatory,
recognizable and unchangeable. Conscience or latin word “conscientia” it is a practical
judgement or a trial of one self. There are types of conscience correct conscience, erroneous or
false conscience, scrupulous conscience, lax conscience, certain conscience and doubtful
conscience.

In human acts, I learn the three essential attributes of human acts which is knowledge, freedom
and voluntary. And there are kinds of elicited acts which is whish, intention, consent, election,
use, and fruition. And there are also an a commanded act which is internal acts, external acts and
mixed.
I learn the 6 kinds of rights which is natural rights, positive rights, divine rights, human rights,
civil rights and right to own a property. According to St. Thomas Aquinas, there use natural and
inalienable right which is right to life is a natural, right to private property is transferable, right to
married marriage is transferable, right to free movement is natural, right to belief in worship is
transferable and right to work is transferable that is according to St. Thomas Aquinas.

I learn the four types of duties which is natural duties are imposed by natural law, positive duties
are imposed by human positive law, affirmative duties are those which require the performance
of a certain act, negative duties are those which require the omission the certain act.

The two kinds of worship, internal worship acts of the mind and will by which due honor and
homage are given to god, external worship is the acts which sensibly expressed honor and
homage to god. The acts of worship is devotion, prayer, adoration and sacrifice.

It has a three types of lies jocose lie, officious lie and pernicious lie. Jocose lie is not a serious
statement because it is just fallacious statements made for fun, officious is a lie of excuse of
convenience it is the refusal to face the real issues in life, pernicious lie is the lowest or the worst
of all lies because it creates injury to other person. For me lying is not good it is an injury to
reason because it upsets the due order nature.
