Maycomb may be a little, near-knit town, and each family has its social station depending on wherein they live,

II. Analysis
A. Setting
- the novel started in the small town of Maycomb, Alabama. The setting help developing the story
because that's where all take place when a woman falsely accused one of the town's black resident. The setting
of the novel became a very big part on developing the story especially the characteristics of the community
members.
B. Characterization
-The characters in the story are had the perfect description of who they really are in the story.
These characters are very much like non-fictious characters. They are real. From the characteristics, to their
actions. Unlike other novels, the characters in this novel showed qualities that a real person has.
C. Conflict
- The conflict of the novel started when Atticus accepted Tom Robinson’s alleged rape case. The
community was known for being racist that’s why Tom—a black man, against Bob and Mayella Ewell has a
small chance of having a fair trial. The conflict made Bob Ewell threaten Atticus. He also planned to kill Scout
and Jem after Tom died.

D. Point of View
- The point of view used in the novel was a First-person POV. The POV was shown as Scout
narrates the story whilst also being the protagonist. But, Scout’s point of view was narrated as a six-year old
child. The narration is an unreliable one. The point of view is an effective one, but I still want to know the story
on another person’s point of view to get a better understanding of what really happened.

E. Theme
- We ought to continuously be beyond any doubt that anything color we had, we ought to regard each
other and allow everybody uniformity since we are all the same and we all merit a correspondence that we
required. In the novel we will see that the case there's prejudice since of the white juries that charged dark man
to a assault that he doesn't do.

III. Reflection
- The novel made me confused, mad, and sad. The novel gave me so many emotions that I cannot
get a hold of it anymore. It left many confusing questions in my mind. The novel taught me that most of us suffers
the same problem, and that is racism. I felt sad because up until this time, we are still experiencing racism. Racism
is a problem that’ll never end, it has been something that people inherited from their roots, it’s hard to remove
that now. There was a point in the novel that I got confused. Many questions in my mind was left un-answered.
How and why Tom died? I felt very disappointed when Tom and Atticus lost the case.

IV. Conclusion
- All in all, the novel and the author wanted us to realize that racism is a big problem. Racism is
something that can ruin a very good thing. Racism is something that can affect a human’s psychological and
mental welk-being. Racism must be stopped. Racism must end. Equality must prevail. Equal opportunities and
equal judgements must be given to everyone. We must see each other as equal beings. Nobody must be superior
or inferior to us because we are all created equally.
This novel taught me life lessons that I’ll surely treasure. Lessons that’ll help me grow into a
beautiful human being. With that, I do recommend this novel to everyone. Not just my fellow students but to
everyone. Because everyone needs to be enlightened by the words and the mysteries of this novel holds.
