ANNUAL ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT IN ENGLISH


S.Y 2017-2018
I. INTRODUCTION

English is one of the most important subject that a child can learn in school. Without knowing
proper English, a child will not be able to communicate effectively especially with the subjects in which
English is the medium of instruction. A child who does not poses proper English limits his or her ability to
achieve their highest potential. Therefore, knowledge of the English language is important so they can
easily express themselves easily both in oral and written communication.
It is essential therefore that every teacher should have a rich knowledge and information of new
ways, techniques and strategies of teaching the subject and look for innovations to be able to reach out
to the 21st century learners.

II. OBJECTIVES

This report intends to:


1. Give information about achievements/ accomplishments made by the teacher and the pupils.
2. Identify the activities undertaken to achieve the desired target for this school year.
3. Express future plans for the subject.

III. HIGHLIGHTS OF ACCOMPLISHMENT:

A. Pupil Development

1. Took the Pre and Posttest in Phil-Iri..


2. Undergone intervention programs to enhance their reading and comprehension like
Word for the Day, Paragraph a Day and A Story a Day.
3. Attended training/workshop for the participants in District and Division Press
Conference.
4. Participated in the United Care Tula and Declamation Contest.
5. Won some awards/recognitions in the District and Division Press Conference.

B. Teacher Development

1. Attended District/ Division Level-Seminar Workshop on School Paper.


2. Trained pupil participants in both District and Division Press Conference.
3. Conducted a Lac Session on the administration of Revised Phil-Iri.
4. Administered the Phil-Iri test.
C. Curriculum Development

1. Finished/ completed the required learning competencies for each grade level.
2. Assessed pupils’ performance through different tests.
3. Conducted the Phil-Iri
4. Made reading intervention programs for slow and non-readers.
5. Continuous preparation of Instructional Materials.

D. Physical Facilities Development

1. Continuous room structuring to make them conducive to learning.


2. Provided updated information for the subject through bulletin and display boards.

IV. FUTURE PLANS

1. Solicit 99% support from the parents and other stakeholders.


2. Develop a reading program that could help both the slow and non-readers to become
readers.
