‫آل ُﻣﺤ ﱠﻤ ٍﺪ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ُ ﱠ َ ﱢ َ ُ ﱠ‬
‫َ‬
‫اﻟﻠﻬﻢ ﺻﻞ ﻋ ﻣﺤﻤ ٍﺪ و ِ‬
‫ﱠ َُ َ َ َ َ َ‬
‫ﻟﺴ م ﻋﻠ ْ ﻚ ﺎ ا ﺎ ﻋ ْ ِﺪ ٱ ِ‬ ‫ا‬
‫ؑ‬
‫آپ ﭘﺮ ﺳﻼم ﻮاے ا ﺎ ﻋ ﺪ ﷲ‬
‫‪Peace be upon you, O Aba-`Abdullah.‬‬
‫ﱠ َُ َ ْ َ َ ْ َ َ ُ‬
‫ﻮل ٱ ِ‬
‫اﻟﺴ ؑ م ﻋﻠ ﻚ ﺎ ﺑﻦ رﺳ ِ‬
‫ﻓﺮزﻧﺪ‬ ‫آپ ﭘﺮ ﺳﻼم ﻮاے رﺳﻮل ﺧﺪا‬
‫‪Peace be upon you, O son of Allah’s Messenger.‬‬
‫َ‬ ‫ﱠ َ َ َ‬
‫اﻟﺴ ُم ﻋﻠ ﻚ َ ﺎ ِﺧ َ َ ِة ٱ ِ َو ْٱﺑ َﻦ ﺧ َ ِﺗ ِﻪ‬
‫ﻓﺮزﻧﺪ‬ ‫ؑ‬
‫ﺳﻼم ﻮ آپ ﭘﺮاے ﺴﻨﺪ ﺪە ﺧﺪا اور ﺴﻨﺪ ﺪە ﺧﺪا‬
‫‪Peace be upon you, O choicest of Allah and son of His choicest.‬‬
‫ﻟﺴ َ ُم َﻋﻠ ْ َﻚ َ ﺎ ْﺑ َﻦ ٲﻣ ٱﻟ ُﻤ ْﺆﻣﻨ َ‬
‫ا ﱠ‬
‫ِ ِ‬ ‫ِ‬
‫ﻓﺮزﻧﺪ‬ ‫ؑ‬ ‫ؑ‬
‫ﺳﻼم ﻮ آپ ﭘﺮاے اﻣ اﻟﻤﻮﻣﻨ‬
‫‪Peace be upon you, O son of the Commander of the Faithful‬‬
‫َو ْٱﺑ َﻦ َﺳ ﱢ ﺪ ٱﻟ َﻮﺻ ﱢﻴ َ‬
‫ِ‬ ‫ِ‬
‫ﻓﺮزﻧﺪ‬ ‫دار‬ ‫اور اوﺻ ﺎ‬
‫‪and son of the chief of the Prophets’ successors.‬‬
‫ﻟﺴ َ ُم َﻋﻠ ْ َﻚ َ ﺎ ْﺑ َﻦ َﻓﺎﻃ َﻤ َﺔ َﺳ ﱢ َﺪة َﺴﺎء ٱﻟ َﻌﺎﻟﻤ َ‬
‫ا ﱠ‬
‫ِ‬ ‫ِ ِ ِ‬ ‫ِ‬
‫دار ﮨ‬ ‫ﻋﻮرﺗﻮں‬ ‫ؑ‬ ‫ﺳﻼم ﻮ ؑ‬
‫آپ ﭘﺮاے ﻓﺮزﻧﺪ ﻓﺎﻃﻤﮧ ﺟﻮ ﺟﮩﺎﻧﻮں‬
‫‪Peace be upon you, O son of Fatimah the doyenne of the‬‬
‫‪women of the worlds.‬‬
‫ﻟﺴ َ ُم َﻋﻠ ْ َﻚ َ ﺎ َﺛ َﺎر ٱ َو ْٱﺑ َﻦ َﺛﺎرە َوٱﻟﻮ ْﺗ َﺮ ٱﻟ َﻤ ْﻮ ُﺗ َ‬
‫ﻮر‬ ‫ا ﱠ‬
‫ِ‬ ‫ِ‬
‫ﻓﺮزﻧﺪ اور وە ﺧﻮن ﺟﺲ ﺎ‬ ‫ؑ‬
‫آپ ﭘﺮ ﺳﻼم ﻮاے ﻗ ﺎن ﺧﺪا اور ﻗ ﺎن ﺧﺪا‬
‫ﺪﻟﮧ ﻟ ﺎ ﺟﺎﻧﺎ‬
‫‪Peace be upon you, O vengeance of Allah, son of His‬‬
‫‪vengeance, and the unavenged so far.‬‬
‫ْ َ َ‬ ‫ﱠ َ َ َ َ َْ‬
‫ﻟﺴ ُم ﻋﻠ ْ ﻚ َوﻋ ٰ ا ْر َواح ٱﻟ ِ َﺣﻠﺖ ِ ِﻔﻨ ِﺎﺋﻚ‬ ‫ا‬
‫اﺗﺮی ﮨ‬ ‫آﺳﺘﺎﻧﻮں ﻣ‬ ‫ؑ‬
‫آپ ﭘﺮ ﺳﻼم ﻮ اور ان روﺣﻮں ﭘﺮ ﺟﻮ آپ‬
‫‪Peace be upon you and upon the souls that resided in your‬‬
‫‪courtyard.‬‬
‫َ‬ ‫َ‬
‫ﻋﻠ ْ ْﻢ ِﻣ ﱢ َﺟ ِﻤ ﻌﺎ َﺳ ُم ٱ ِ ٲ َ ﺪا‬
‫ﺧﺪا ﺎ ﺳﻼم ﻤ ﺸﮧ‬ ‫ؑ‬
‫آپ ﺳﺐ ﭘﺮﻣ ی ﻃﺮف‬
‫‪Peace of Allah be upon all of you from me forever‬‬
‫ﱠ‬ ‫ُ‬
‫َﻣﺎ َ ﻘ ﺖ َو َ ِ َ ٱﻟﻠ ْ ُﻞ َوٱﻟﻨ َﻬ ُﺎر‬
‫ﻮں اور رات دن ﺎ ﮨ‬ ‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﺟﺐ ﺗﮏ ﻣ‬
‫‪as long as I am existent and as long as there are day & night‬‬
‫ﱠ ُ‬ ‫َ ْ َ‬ ‫َ‬
‫ٱﻟﺮزﱠ ﺔ‬ ‫َ ﺎ ٲ ﺎ ﻋ ْ ِﺪ ٱ ِ ﻟﻘﺪ ﻋﻈ َﻤ ِﺖ‬
‫اے ا ﺎ ﻋ ﺪ ﷲ ؑ‬
‫آپ ﺎ ﺳﻮگ ﺑﮩﺖ ﺑﮭﺎری اور ﺑﮩﺖ ﺑﮍا‬
‫‪O Aba-`Abdillah, unbearable is the sorrow‬‬
‫ُ َُ َ‬ ‫ْ َ‬
‫َو َﺟﻠﺖ َوﻋﻈ َﻤ ِﺖ ٱﻟﻤﺼ ﺔ ِ ﻚ‬
‫ﻣﺼ ﺖ ﺑﮩﺖ ﺑﮍی‬ ‫اور ؑ‬
‫آپ‬
‫‪and excruciating and unbearable is the misfortune of you‬‬
‫َ‬ ‫ْ‬ ‫َ َ َ‬
‫ﻋﻠ ْﻴﻨﺎ َوﻋ ٰ َﺟ ِﻤﻴﻊ ٲﮬ ِﻞ ِٱﻹ ْﺳ ِم‬
‫ﻟ‬ ‫ﻟ اور ﺗﻤﺎم اﮨﻞ اﺳﻼم‬ ‫ﻤﺎر‬
‫‪for us and for all the people of Islam.‬‬

‫َو َﺟﻠﺖ َوﻋﻈ َﻤﺖ ُﻣﺼ َﺒﺘﻚ‬

‫ﻣﺼ ﺖ‬ ‫ؑ‬
‫آپ‬ ‫اور ﺑﮩﺖ ﺑﮍی اور ﺑﮭﺎری‬
‫‪Excruciating and unbearable has been your misfortune‬‬
‫ﱠ َ َ‬ ‫ْ‬ ‫ٱﻟﺴ َﻤ َﺎو َ َ‬
‫ﱠ‬
‫ات ﻋ ٰ ﺟ ِﻤﻴﻊ ٲﮬ ِﻞ ٱﻟﺴﻤﺎو ِ‬
‫ات‬ ‫ِ‬ ‫ِ‬
‫ﻟ‬ ‫ﺗﻤﺎم آﺳﻤﺎن واﻟﻮں‬ ‫آﺳﻤﺎﻧﻮں ﻣ‬
‫‪in the heavens for all the inhabitants of the heavens.‬‬
‫َﻓﻠ َﻌ َﻦ ٱ ُ ٲ ﱠﻣ ًﺔ ٲ ﱠﺳ َﺴ ْﺖ ٲ َﺳ َ‬
‫ﺎس ٱﻟﻈﻠ ِﻢ َوٱﻟ َﺠ ْﻮر‬
‫ْ‬ ‫َ‬
‫ﻋﻠ ْ ْﻢ ٲﮬ َﻞ ٱﻟ َﺒ ْ ِﺖ‬
‫ؑ‬
‫آپ‬ ‫ﺑ ﺎد ڈا‬ ‫ﻟﻌﻨﺖ ﻮ اس ﮔﺮوە ﭘﺮﺟﺲ ﻇﻠﻢ و ﺳﺘﻢ ﮐﺮ‬ ‫ﺲ ﺧﺪا‬
‫ﭘﺮاے اﮨﻠﺒ ﺖ‬
‫‪So, may Allah curse the people who laid the basis of‬‬
‫‪persecution and wronging against you, O Members of the‬‬
‫‪Household.‬‬
‫َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ً ََ ْ‬
‫َوﻟ َﻌ َﻦ ٱ ُ ٲ ﱠﻣﺔ دﻓ َﻌﺘ ْﻢ ﻋ ْﻦ َﻣﻘ ِﺎﻣ ْﻢ‬
‫ﭩﺎ ﺎ‬ ‫ؑ‬
‫آپ ﮐﻮ آﭘ ﻣﻘﺎم‬ ‫ﻟﻌﻨﺖ ﻮ اس ﮔﺮوە ﭘﺮ ﺟﺲ‬ ‫اور ﺧﺪا‬
‫‪May Allah curse the people who drove you away from your‬‬
‫‪position‬‬
‫ﱠ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ْ‬
‫َوٲزاﻟﺘ ْﻢ ﻋ ْﻦ َﻣ َﺮ ِاﺗ ِ ُﻢ ٱﻟ ِ َرﺗ َ ُﻢ ٱ ُ ِﻓ َﻴﻬﺎ‬
‫ؑ‬
‫آپ ﮐﻮ د ﺎ‬ ‫ﮔﺮا ﺎ ﺟﻮ ﺧﺪا‬ ‫ؑ‬ ‫اور آپ ﮐﻮ اس ﻣﺮﺗ‬
‫‪& removed you away from your ranks that Allah has put you in‬‬
‫ً ََ ْ‬
‫َوﻟ َﻌ َﻦ ٱ ُ ٲ ﱠﻣﺔ ﻗﺘﻠﺘ ْﻢ‬
‫ؑ‬
‫آپ ﮐﻮ ﻗﺘﻞ ﮐ ﺎ‬ ‫ﻟﻌﻨﺖ ﻮ اس ﮔﺮوە ﭘﺮ ﺟﺲ‬ ‫ﺧﺪا‬
‫‪May Allah curse the people who slew you.‬‬
‫َوﻟ َﻌ َﻦ ٱ ُ ٱﻟ ُﻤ َﻤ ﱢﻬﺪ َ‬
‫ﻳﻦ ﻟ ُﻬ ْﻢ‬ ‫ِ‬
‫راە ﻤﻮار‬ ‫ا ﺴﺎ ﮐﺮ‬ ‫ﻟﻌﻨﺖ ﻮ ان ﭘﺮ ﺟﻨﮩﻮں‬ ‫اور ﺧﺪا‬
‫‪May Allah curse those who paved the way for them to do so‬‬
‫َ‬ ‫ﱠْ‬
‫ِﻣ ْﻦ ِﻗﺘ ِﺎﻟ ْﻢ‬ ‫ِ ﭑﻟﺘﻤ ِ‬
‫ﻗﻮت ﻓﺮا ﻢ‬ ‫اﻧﮑﻮ آﭘ ﺳﺎﺗﮫ ﺟﻨﮓ ﮐﺮ‬ ‫اور ان ﭘﺮ ﺟﻨﮩﻮں‬
‫‪and who made possible for them to fight against you.‬‬
‫ْ‬ ‫ْ ُ‬
‫َﺑﺮﺋﺖ ِإ ٰ ٱ ِ َو ِ ﻟ ْ ْﻢ ِﻣﻨ ُﻬ ْﻢ‬
‫ﺳﺎﻣ ان‬ ‫ؑ‬ ‫ﺳﺎﻣ اور آپ‬ ‫ﺑﺮی ﻮں ﺧﺪا‬ ‫ﻣ‬
‫‪I repudiate them in the presence of Allah and You‬‬
‫ْ‬ ‫ْ‬
‫َو ِﻣ ْﻦ َوٲﺷ ِﺎﻋ ِﻬ ْﻢ َوٲﺗ ِﺎﻋ ِﻬ ْﻢ َوٲ ْو ِﻟ ِﺎﺋ ِﻬ ْﻢ‬
‫اﻧ ﻣﺪد ﺎروں اﻧ ﭘ و ﺎروں اور اﻧ ﺳﺎﺗﮭﯿﻮں‬
‫‪and I repudiate their devotees, followers, and loyalists.‬‬
‫ﱢ‬ ‫َ‬
‫َ ﺎ ٲ ﺎ ﻋ ْ ِﺪ ٱ ِ ِإ ِﺳﻠ ٌﻢ ِﻟ َﻤ ْﻦ َﺳﺎﻟ َﻤ ْﻢ‬
‫ﺻﻠﺢ ﮐﺮ وا‬ ‫ؑ‬ ‫آپ‬ ‫اے ا ﺎ ﻋ ﺪ ﷲ ﻣ ی ﺻﻠﺢ‬
‫‪O Aba-`Abdullah, I am at peace with those who are at‬‬
‫‪peace with you‬‬

‫َو َﺣ ْﺮ ٌب ِﻟ َﻤ ْﻦ َﺣ َﺎرَ ْﻢ ِإ ٰ َﻳ ْﻮ ِم ٱﻟ ِﻘ َ َﺎﻣ ِﺔ‬

‫روز ﻗ ﺎﻣﺖ ﺗﮏ‬ ‫ﺟﻨﮓ ﮐﺮ وا‬ ‫ؑ‬ ‫آپ‬ ‫اور ﻣ ی ﺟﻨﮓ‬
‫‪and I am at war against those who have fought against you‬‬
‫‪up to the Resurrection Day.‬‬
‫َ‬ ‫َوﻟ َﻌ َﻦ ٱ ُ َ‬
‫آل زَ ﺎد َو َ‬
‫آل َﻣ ْﺮ َوان‬ ‫ٍ‬
‫اوﻻد ز ﺎد اور اوﻻد ﻣﺮوان ﭘﺮ‬ ‫اور ﺧﺪا ﻟﻌﻨﺖ ﮐﺮ‬
‫‪May Allah also curse the family of Ziy¡d and the family of‬‬
‫‪Marwan.‬‬
‫َ َ َ ُ َ َﱠَ َ ً‬
‫ﺎﻃ َ ﺔ‬
‫وﻟﻌﻦ ٱ ﺑ ِ ٲﻣ ﺔ ﻗ ِ‬
‫ﺲ ْ اﻟ َﻘ ْ َو ْﺣ َﺸ ِ ْ‬‫َ َ ْ ُْ ُ‬

‫ﻣﺎﺧﻮز‬ ‫ﺗ‬ ‫ﻣﻔﺎﺗﯿﺢ اﻟﺠﻨﺎن‬

‫ﺗﻤﺎم ﺑ اﻣﯿﮧ‬ ‫ﺧﺪا اﻇﮩﺎر ﺑ اری ﮐﺮ‬

May Allah also curse the descendants of Umayyah altogether
ََ
‫َوﻟ َﻌ َﻦ ٱ ُ ْٱﺑ َﻦ َﻣ ْﺮ َﺟﺎﻧﺔ‬
‫اﺑﻦ ﻣﺮﺟﺎﻧﮧ ﭘﺮ‬ ‫ﺧﺪا ﻟﻌﻨﺖ ﮐﺮ‬
May Allah also curse the son of Marjanah.
ُ
‫َوﻟ َﻌ َﻦ ٱ ُ ﻋ َﻤ َﺮ ْﺑ َﻦ َﺳ ْﻌ ٍﺪ‬
‫ﻋﻤﺮ ﺑﻦ ﺳﻌﺪ ﭘﺮ‬ ‫ﺧﺪا ﻟﻌﻨﺖ ﮐﺮ‬
May Allah also curse `Umar the son of Sa`d.

‫َوﻟ َﻌ َﻦ ٱ ُ ِﺷ ْﻤﺮا‬
‫ﺷﻤﺮ ﭘﺮ‬ ‫ﺧﺪا ﻟﻌﻨﺖ ﮐﺮ‬
May Allah also curse Shimr.
َ َ ْ ‫ْ ََﱠ‬ ْ ً
‫َوﻟ َﻌ َﻦ ٱ ُ ٲ ﱠﻣﺔ ٲ ْ َ َﺟﺖ َوٲﻟ َﺠ َﻤﺖ َوﺗﻨﻘ َ ﺖ ِﻟ ِﻘﺘ ِﺎﻟﻚ‬
‫ﺟﻨﮩﻮں ز ﻦ ﮐﺴﺎ ﻟ ﺎم دی ﮔﮭﻮڑوں ﮐﻮ اور ﻟﻮﮔﻮں ﮐﻮ‬ ‫اور ﺧﺪا ﻟﻌﻨﺖ ﮐﺮ‬
‫آپ ﻟﮍ ﮐ ﻠ اﺑﮭﺎرا‬ؑ
May Allah also curse the people who saddled up, gave reins
to their horses, & masked their faces in preparation for
fighting against you
َ ْ
، ‫ِ ِ ٲﻧﺖ َوٲ ﱢ‬
ؑ
‫ﻣﺎں ﺎپ آپ ﭘﺮ ﻗ ﺎن ﻮں‬ ‫ﻣ‬
May my father and mother be ransoms for you.
َ َ ْ َ
‫ﻟﻘﺪ ﻋﻈ َﻢ ُﻣ َﺼﺎ ِ ِ ﻚ‬
ؑ
‫ﺧﺎﻃﺮ ﻣ ا ﻏﻢ ﺑﮍھ ﮔ ﺎ‬ ‫ﻘﯿﻨﺎ آپ‬
Extremely insufferable is my commiserations with you;

،‫ِ ﮏ‬ ‫ﻣ‬ َ ‫َﻓ ْﺳ ُل ا َ اﻟﺬی ٲ َﺮ َم َﻣ‬

َ ‫ َوٲ َﺮ‬، ‫ﻘﺎﻣ‬
ِ ِ
‫ذر‬ ؑ ‫اور‬
‫آپ‬ ؑ
‫آپ ﮐﻮ ﺷﺎن ﻋﻄﺎ‬ ‫ﺟﺲ‬ ‫ﺲ ﺳﻮال ﮐﺮﺗﺎ ﻮں ﺧﺪا‬
‫ﻣﺠﮭ ﻋﺰت دی‬
so, I beseech Allah Who has honored your position and
honored me because of you
َ َُ ْ
‫ٲن َﯾ ْﺮزﻗ ِ ﻃﻠ َﺐ ﺛﺎرک‬
‫ﺎ ﻣﻮﻗﻊ دے‬ ‫ﺧﻮن ﺎ ﺪﻟﮧ ﻟﯿ‬ ؑ ‫ﯾﮧ ﮐﮧ وە ﻣﺠﮭ‬
‫آپ‬
to endue me with the chance to avenge you
ْ ْ
‫َﻣ َﻊ ِإ َﻣ ٍﺎم َﻣﻨ ُﺼﻮر ِﻣ ْﻦ ٲﮬ ِﻞ َﺑ ْ ِﺖ ُﻣ َﺤ ﱠﻤ ٍﺪ‬
ؐ ؑ
‫ﻮں‬ ‫ﺳﺎﺗﮫ ﺟﻮ اﮨﻞ ﺑ ﺖ ﻣﺤﻤﺪ ﻣ‬ ‫ﻣﻨﺼﻮر‬ ‫ان اﻣﺎم‬
with a (Divinely) supported leader from the Household of
Muhammad,
َ
‫َﺻ ٰ ٱ ُ ﻋﻠ ْ ِﻪ َو ِآﻟ ِﻪ‬
ؑ
‫آل ﭘﺮ‬ ‫ﻧ ؐ اور ان‬ ‫ﺗ ا درود و ﺳﻼم ﻮ ﺗ‬
peace of Allah be upon him and his Household.
َ َْ ْ ‫اﻟﻠ ُﻬ ﱠﻢ‬
‫ٱﺟ َﻌﻠ ِ ِﻋﻨﺪك َو ِﺟﻴﻬﺎ‬
‫اے ﻣﻌﺒﻮد ﻣﺠﮫ ﮐﻮ اﭘ ﮨﺎں آﺑﺮوﻣﻨﺪ ﺑﻨﺎ‬
O Allah, (please) make me illustrious in Your sight

‫ٱﻵﺧ َﺮِة‬ َ َْ ‫ﱡ‬ َُ ‫ﱠ‬ ْ َ ْ َ ُ

ِ ‫ِ ﭑﻟﺤﺴ ﻋﻠ ِﻪَ ٱﻟﺴ م ِ ٱﻟﺪﻧ ﺎ و‬
ُ ‫ﱠ‬
‫دﻧ ﺎ و آﺧﺮت ﻣ‬ ْ َ ‫واﺳ‬ ‫ﻋﻠ ِﻪ ٱﻟﺴ م‬ ‫ﺣﺴ‬
in the name of al-°usayn, peace be upon him, in this world
and in the Hereafter.

‫اے ا ﺎ ﻋ ﺪ ﷲ‬
O Aba-`Abdullah,
ْ ِ ‫ﺲ ْ اﻟ َﻘ ْ َو ْﺣ َﺸ‬ُ ُْ ْ َ َ

ُ ؑ ‫ﺎب ) ﺎب ز ﺎرات( | ﺳﺎﺗ ﮟ ﻓﺼﻞ ز ﺎرت اﻣﺎم ﺣﺴ‬
‫ﻣﺎﺧﻮز‬ ‫ﺗ‬ ‫ﻣﻔﺎﺗﯿﺢ اﻟﺠﻨﺎن‬

‫ﻮﻟ ِﻪ‬ ‫ﺳ‬ُ ‫إ ﱢ ٲ َﺗ َﻘ ﱠﺮ ُب إ ٰ ٱ َو ٰ َر‬

ؐ
ِ ِ ِ ِ ِ
‫رﺳﻮل ﺎ‬ ‫ﻗﺮب ﭼﺎ ﺘﺎ ﻮں ﺧﺪا ﺎ اس‬ ‫ﺷﮏ ﻣ‬
I do seek nearness to Allah, to His Messenger,
َ َ َ َ ْ ُ َ
‫ﺎﻃ َﻤﺔ‬
ِ ‫و ِ ٰ ٲ ِﻣ ٱﻟﻤﺆ ِﻣ ِﻨ و ِ ٰ ﻓ‬
ؑ
‫ﺎ ﻓﺎﻃﻤﺔ ز ﺮا ﺎ‬ ‫اﻣ اﻟﻤﻮﻣﻨ‬
to the Commander of the Faithful, to Fatimah,
َ َ َ
‫َو ِ ٰ ٱﻟ َﺤ َﺴﻦ َو ِ ﻟ ْ ﻚ ِ ُﻤ َﻮا ِﺗﻚ‬
‫ﺣ ﺪاری‬ ؑ ؑ ٰؑ
‫ﺎ اور آپ ﺎ ﻗﺮب آپ‬ ‫ﺣﺴﻦ ﻣﺠﺘ‬
to al-Hasan, and to you by means of loyalty to you
َ َ َ َ
‫َو ِﺎﻟ َ اﺋ ِﺔ ِﻣ ﱠﻤ ْﻦ ﻗﺎﺗﻠﻚ‬
‫آپ ﮐﻮ ﻗﺘﻞ ﮐ ﺎ‬ ؑ ‫ذر ﺟﺲ‬ ‫ﺑ اری‬ ‫اور اس‬
& by means of repudiation of those who fought against you
َ َ
‫َوﻧ َﺼ َﺐ ﻟﻚ ٱﻟ َﺤ ْﺮ َب‬
‫اور آ ﺶ ﺟﻨﮓ ﺑﮭﮍﺎ‬
and incurred your hostility,
َ
‫ﺎس ٱﻟﻈﻠ ِﻢ َوٱﻟ َﺠ ْﻮر ﻋﻠ ْ ْﻢ‬ َ ‫َو ﺎﻟ َ َاﺋ ِﺔ ِﻣ ﱠﻤ ْﻦ ٲ ﱠﺳ‬
َ ‫ﺲ ٲ َﺳ‬
ِ
‫ﺑ ﺎد رﮐ‬ ‫ﺗﻢ ﭘﺮ ﻇﻠﻢ وﺳﺘﻢ‬ ‫ذر ﺟﺲ‬ ‫ﺑ اری‬ ‫اور اس‬
and repudiation of those who laid the basis of persecution
and wronging against you all.
ُ َ َ َْ َ
ِ ‫وٲﺑﺮٲ ِإ ٰ ٱ ِ و ِ ٰ رﺳ‬
‫ﻮﻟ ِﻪ‬
‫ﺳﺎﻣ‬ ‫رﺳﻮل‬ ‫ﺑﺮی اﻟﺬﻣﮧ ﻮں ﷲ اور اس‬ ‫اور ﻣ‬
I also repudiate, in the presence of Allah and His Messenger
َُ ْ َ َ
‫ﺳﺎس ذ ٰ ِﻟﻚ َو َ َ ٰ ﻋﻠ ْ ِﻪ ُﺑ َ ﺎﻧﻪ‬
َ َ ‫ِﻣ ﱠﻤ ْﻦ ٲ ﱠﺳ‬
‫ﺲٲ‬
‫اور اس ﭘﺮ ﻋﻤﺎرت اﭨﮭﺎ‬ ‫ﺑ ﺎد ﻗﺎﺋﻢ‬ ‫ا‬ ‫ﺟﺲ‬ ‫اس‬
those who laid the basis of all that, established their
foundations on it,
ْ َ
،‫َو َﺟ َﺮ ٰى ِ ﻇﻠ ِﻤ ِﻪ َو َﺟ ْﻮرِە ﻋﻠ ْ ْﻢ َوﻋ ٰ ٲﺷ ِﺎﻋ ْﻢ‬
‫ﭘ و ﺎروں ﭘﺮ‬ ‫وع ﮐ ﺎ اور آپ ﭘﺮ اور آپ‬ ‫اور ﭘﮭﺮ ﻇﻠﻢ و ﺳﺘﻢ ﮐﺮﻧﺎ‬
and continued in wronging and persecuting you and your
adherents.
ْ ُ ْ
‫َﺑﺮﺋﺖ ِإ ٰ ٱ ِ َو ِ ﻟ ْ ْﻢ ِﻣﻨ ُﻬ ْﻢ‬
‫ﺳﺎﻣ ان ﻇﺎﻟﻤﻮں‬ ؑ ‫ﺑ اری ﻇﺎ ﺮ ﮐﺮﺗﺎ ﻮں ﺧﺪا اور آپ‬ ‫ﻣ‬
In the presence of Allah and you all do I repudiate these.
ُ ََ
‫َوٲﺗﻘ ﱠﺮ ُب ِإ ٰ ٱ ِ ﺛ ﱠﻢ ِإﻟ ْ ْﻢ‬
ؑ
‫اور ﻗﺮب ﭼﺎ ﺘﺎ ﻮں ﺧﺪا ﺎ ﭘﮭﺮ آپ ﺎ‬
And I seek nearness to Allah and then to you all
َ َ
‫ِ ُﻤ َﻮا ِﺗ ْﻢ َو ُﻣ َﻮا ِة َو ِﻟ ﱢ ْﻢ‬
‫ذر‬ ‫ﻣﺤ ﺖ‬ ؑ
‫اوﻟ ﺎء‬ ‫اور آپ‬ ‫وﺟﮧ‬ ‫ﻣﺤ ﺖ‬ ‫آپ‬
by means of declaring loyalty to you and to your loyalists
ْ ْ َ َ َ
،‫ﺪاﺋ ْﻢ‬
ِ ‫و ِﺎﻟ اﺋ ِﺔ ِﻣﻦ ٲﻋ‬
‫دﺷﻤﻨﻮں‬ ؑ ‫اور ﺑ اری ﻇﺎ ﺮ ﮐﺮﺗﺎ ﻮں اور آپ‬
and declaring repudiation of your enemies
‫َ ﱠ‬
‫ﺎﺻ ِﺒ َ ﻟ ُﻢ ٱﻟ َﺤ ْﺮ َب‬
ِ ‫وٱﻟﻨ‬
‫ﺟﻨﮓ‬ ؑ ‫آپ‬ ‫ﺟﻨﮩﻮں‬ ‫اور ان‬
and those who incur animosity of you

ْ ِ ‫ﺲ ْ اﻟ َﻘ ْ َو ْﺣ َﺸ‬ُ ُْ ْ َ َ

ُ ؑ ‫ﺎب ) ﺎب ز ﺎرات( | ﺳﺎﺗ ﮟ ﻓﺼﻞ ز ﺎرت اﻣﺎم ﺣﺴ‬
‫ﻣﺎﺧﻮز‬ ‫ﺗ‬ ‫ﻣﻔﺎﺗﯿﺢ اﻟﺠﻨﺎن‬

ْ ْ َ
،‫َو ِﺎﻟ َ اﺋ ِﺔ ِﻣ ْﻦ ٲﺷ َ ِﺎﻋ ِﮭ ْﻢ َوٲﺗ َ ِﺎﻋ ِﮭ ْﻢ‬
‫اور اﻧ ﻃﺮف داروں اور ﭘ و ﺎروں‬
and repudiation of their adherents and followers.
‫ﱢ‬
‫ِإ ِﺳﻠ ٌﻢ ِﻟ َﻤ ْﻦ َﺳﺎﻟ َﻤ ْﻢ َو َﺣ ْﺮ ٌب ِﻟ َﻤ ْﻦ َﺣ َﺎرَ ْﻢ‬
‫ﺟﻨﮓ‬ ؑ ‫آپ‬ ‫اور ﻣ ی ﺟﻨﮓ‬ ؑ
‫ﺻﻠﺢ ﮐﺮ وا‬ ‫آپ‬ ‫ﻣ ی ﺻﻠﺢ‬
‫ﮐﺮ وا‬
I am verily at peace with those who have been at peace with
you, I am at war against those who fought against you,
َ َ َُ َ
‫َو َو ِ ﱞ ِﻟ َﻤ ْﻦ َوا ْﻢ َوﻋﺪ ﱞو ِﻟ َﻤ ْﻦ ﻋﺎدا ْﻢ‬
‫دﺷﻤﻦ ﺎ دﺷﻤﻦ ﻮں‬ ؑ ؑ
‫دوﺳﺖ ﺎ دوﺳﺖ اور آپ‬ ‫آپ‬ ‫ﻣ‬
loyalist to those who have been loyalist to you, and enemy
of those who have shown enmity towards you.
َ َ ‫َﻓ ْﺳ ُل ا َ اﻟﺬی ٲ َﺮ‬
،‫ِ َﻤ ْﻌﺮﻓ ِﺘ ْﻢ‬ ِ ‫ﻣ‬ ِ
‫ﭘﮩﭽﺎن‬ ؑ ‫ﻋﺰت دی ﻣﺠﮭ‬
‫آپ‬ ‫ﺟﺲ‬ ‫ﺲ ﺳﻮال ﮐﺮﺗﺎ ﻮں ﺧﺪا‬
So, I beseech Allah Who has endued me with the honor of
recognizing you
َ
،‫َو َﻣ ْﻌﺮﻓ ِﺔ ٲ ْو ِﻟ َ ِﺎﺋ ْﻢ‬
‫ذر‬ ‫ﭘﮩﭽﺎن‬ ‫اور آﭘ وﻟﯿﻮں‬
and recognizing your loyalists
ْ ْ ََ َ ََ ََ
،‫ﺪاﺋ ْﻢ‬
ِ ‫ورزﻗ ِ َ ٱﻟ َ اﺋﺔ ِﻣﻦ ٲﻋ‬
‫ﺗﻮﻓﯿﻖ دی‬ ‫ﺑ اری‬ ‫دﺷﻤﻨﻮں‬ ؑ ‫اور ﻣﺠﮭ‬
‫آپ‬
and Who conferred upon me with repudiation of your
enemies,

،‫ٱﻵﺧ َﺮِة‬‫و‬َ ‫ٱﻟﺪ ْﻧ َ ﺎ‬

‫ﱡ‬ ْ َ َ َ ْ َ ْ
ِ ِ ‫ٲن ﺠﻌﻠ ِ ؑ ﻣﻌ ﻢ‬
‫ﺳﺎﺗﮫ رﮐﮭ دﻧ ﺎ اور آﺧﺮت ﻣ‬ ‫ﯾﮧ ﮐﮧ ﻣﺠﮭ آپ‬
to include me with you in this world and in the Hereafter
َ ‫ٱﻟﺪ ْﻧ َ ﺎ‬
‫ﱡ‬ ْ َ ََ ْ َْ َ ‫َ ْ َُﱢ‬
‫ٱﻵﺧ َﺮِة‬
ِ ‫و‬ ‫ق‬‫ﺪ‬
ِ ٍ ِ‫ﺻ‬ ‫م‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﻗ‬ ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﻨ‬ ‫ﻋ‬ِ ِ ‫ﺖ‬ ‫وٲن ﻳ‬
‫ﺳﺎﺗﮫ ﺛﺎ ﺖ ﻗﺪم رﮐﮭ دﻧ ﺎ اور‬ ؑ ‫ﺣﻀﻮر ﺳﭽﺎ‬ ‫اور ﯾﮧ ﮐﮧ ﻣﺠﮭ آپ‬
‫آﺧﺮت ﻣ‬
and to make firm step of honesty for me with you in this
world and in the Hereafter.
َْ َ ْ َ َ َ ُ ْ ُ ْ َ
ِ ‫وٲﺳ ﻟﻪ ٲن ﻳ َ ﻠﻐ ِ َ ٱﻟ َﻤﻘﺎم ٱﻟ َﻤﺤ ُﻤﻮد ﻟ ْﻢ ِﻋﻨﺪ ٱ‬
ؑ
‫ﺴﻨﺪ ﺪە ﻣﻘﺎم ﭘﺮ ﭘﮩﻨﭽﺎ‬ ‫ﮨﺎں آپ‬ ‫ﺧﺪا‬ ‫ﮐﮧ ﻣﺠﮭ ﺑ‬ ‫ﺳﻮال ﮐﺮﺗﺎ‬ ‫اور اس‬
I also beseech Him to make me attain the praiseworthy
status that you enjoy with Allah
َ َ َُ ْ
‫َوٲن َﻳ ْﺮزﻗ ِ ﻃﻠ َﺐ ﺛﺎري‬
‫ﺧﻮن ﺎ ﺪﻟﮧ ﻟﯿﻨﺎ‬ ؑ
‫آپ‬ ‫ﻧ ﻣﺠﮭ ﻧﺼ ﺐ ﮐﺮ‬
and to bestow upon me with the chance to take my own
vengeance
ًٰ ُ َ َ َ
‫ﺎﻫﺮ‬
ِ ‫ﺪى ﻇ‬ ‫ﻣﻊ ِإﻣ ِﺎم ﻫ‬
‫ﺳﺎﺗﮫ ﺟﻮ ﮨﺪا ﺖ دﯾ واﻻ ﻣﺪد ﺎر ر‬ ‫اس اﻣﺎم‬
with a leader of true guidance who is (Divinely) sustained
ْ ‫ﱢ‬ َ
‫ﺎﻃ ٍﻖ ِ ﭑﻟ َﺤﻖ ِﻣﻨ ْﻢ‬
ِ ‫ﻧ‬
‫ﺗﻢ ﻣ‬ ‫ﺣﻖ ﺎت ز ﺎن ﭘﺮ ﻻ واﻻ‬
and expressing the truth from among you.
‫ﱢ‬
‫َوٲ ْﺳ ُل ٱ َ ِ َﺤﻘ ْﻢ‬
‫واﺳ‬ ‫ﺣﻖ‬ ؑ ‫آپ‬ ‫اور ﺳﻮال ﮐﺮﺗﺎ ﻮں ﺧﺪا‬
I also beseech Allah in your names
ْ ِ ‫ﺲ ْ اﻟ َﻘ ْ َو ْﺣ َﺸ‬ُ ُْ ْ َ َ

‫ﻣﺎﺧﻮز‬ ‫ﺗ‬ ‫ﻣﻔﺎﺗﯿﺢ اﻟﺠﻨﺎن‬

َْ ‫ﱠ‬
‫َو ِﺎﻟﺸ ِن ٱﻟ ِﺬي ﻟ ْﻢ ِﻋﻨﺪ ُە‬
ؑ ‫ﺟﻮ‬
‫آپ اﺳ ﮨﺎں رﮐﮭ ﮨ‬ ‫واﺳ‬ ‫ﺷﺎن‬ ؑ ‫اور‬
‫آپ‬
and in the name of the standing that you enjoy with Him
ْ
‫ِ ُﻤ َﺼﺎ ِ ِ ْﻢ‬ ‫ٲن ُ ْﻌ ِﻄ َ ِﻴ‬
‫ﺳﻮﮔﻮاری ﭘﺮ‬ ؑ ‫آپ‬ ‫ﯾﮧ ﮐﮧ وە ﻣﺠﮫ ﮐﻮ ﻋﻄﺎ ﮐﺮ‬
to recompense me for my commiserations for you

‫ُﻣ َﺼﺎ ﺎ ِ ُﻤ ِﺼ َﺒ ِﺘ ِﻪ‬ ْ ُ ‫ٲ ْﻓ َﻀ َﻞ َﻣﺎ‬

‫ﻌ‬
ِ
‫ﺳﻮﮔﻮار ﮐﻮ د ﺎ ﻮ‬ ‫آﭘ ﮐ‬ ‫ا ﺴﺎ ﺑﮩ ﻦ اﺟﺮ ﺟﻮ اس‬
with the most favorite thing that He ever gives as
compensation for misfortunes that has afflicted anyone.
ْ ً
‫ُﻣ ِﺼ َ ﺔ َﻣﺎ ٲﻋﻈ َﻤﮭﺎ‬
‫اس ﻣﺼ ﺖ ﭘﺮ ﮐﮧ ﺟﻮ ﺑﮩﺖ ﺑﮍی ﻣﺼ ﺖ‬
(Your) misfortune has been so astounding
َ َ ْ
‫َوٲﻋﻈ َﻢ َرزﱠ ﺘ َﻬﺎ ِ ِٱﻹ ْﺳ ِم‬
‫اﺳﻼم ﻣ‬ ‫اور اﺳ ﺎ رﻧﺞ و ﻏﻢ ﺑﮩﺖ ز ﺎدە‬
and so catastrophic for Islam
َْ
‫ات َوا ْرض‬ َ َ ‫ﱠ‬ َ َ
ِ ‫و ِ ﺟ ِﻤﻴﻊ ٱﻟﺴﻤﺎو‬
‫ﻣ‬ ‫اور زﻣ‬ ‫اور ﺗﻤﺎم آﺳﻤﺎﻧﻮں ﻣ‬
and for all the heavens and the entire earth.
َ ٰ َ ْ ‫اﻟﻠ ُﻬ ﱠﻢ‬
‫ٱﺟ َﻌﻠ ِ ِ َﻣﻘﺎ ِ ﻫﺬا‬
‫اے ﻣﻌﺒﻮد ﻗﺮار دے ﻣﺠﮭ اس ﺟﮕﮧ ﭘﺮ‬
O Allah, (please) make me in this situation of mine
ٌ ْ ٌ ٌ َ ْ ُ ََ
‫ِﻣ ﱠﻤ ْﻦ ﺗﻨﺎﻟﻪ ِﻣﻨﻚ َﺻﻠ َﻮات َو َر ْﺣ َﻤﺔ َو َﻣﻐ ِﻔ َﺮة‬
‫درود اور ﺗ ی رﺣﻤﺖ اور ﺨﺸﺶ‬ ‫ﺟﻦ ﮐﻮ ﻧﺼ ﺐ ﻮں ﺗ‬ ‫ان ﻓﺮاد ﻣ‬
one of those who receive blessings, mercy, and forgiveness
from You.

‫آل ُﻣ َﺤ ﱠﻤ ٍﺪ‬ َ ‫ُ ﱠ ْ َ ْ َ ْ َ َ َ ْ َ ُ َ ﱠ‬
ِ ‫اﻟﻠﻬﻢ ٱﺟﻌﻞ ﻣﺤ ﺎي ﻣﺤ ؐﺎ ﻣﺤﻤ ٍﺪ ؐ و‬
‫اے ﻣﻌﺒﻮد ﻗﺮار دے ﻣ ا ﺟﯿﻨﺎ ﻣﺤﻤﺪ و آل ﻣﺤﻤﺪ ﺎ ﺳﺎ ﺟﯿﻨﺎ‬
O Allah, (please) make me live my lifetime in the same way
as Muhammad and Muhammad’s Household lived

‫آل ُﻣ َﺤ ﱠﻤ ٍﺪ‬ َ ‫َو َﻣ َﻤﺎ َﻣ َﻤ َ ُ َ ﱠ‬

ِ ‫ﺎت ﻣﺤﻤ ٍ ؐﺪ و‬
ؐ
ِ
‫ﻣﺎﻧﻨﺪ ﺑﻨﺎ‬ ‫ﻣﻮت‬ ؑ
‫اور ﻣ ی ﻣﻮت ﮐﻮ ﻣﺤﻤﺪ و آل ﻣﺤﻤﺪ‬
and make me die on the same principles on which
Muhammad and Muhammad’s Household died.
َ‫َُ َﱠ‬ ْ ‫ُ ﱠ ﱠ ٰ َ َ ْ ٌ ََﱠ‬
‫اﻟﻠﻬﻢ ِإن ﻫﺬا ﻳﻮم ﺗ ﺖ ِ ِﻪ ﺑﻨﻮ ٲﻣ ﺔ‬
‫ﻧ اﻣﯿﮧ‬ ‫ﮐﮧ ﺟﺲ ﮐﻮ ﺎﺑﺮﮐﺖ ﺟﺎﻧﺘﺎ‬ ‫ﺷﮏ ﯾﮧ وە دن‬ ‫اے ﻣﻌﺒﻮد‬
O Allah, this day has been regarded as blessed day by the
descendants of Umayyah

َْ
،‫ِﺎد‬ ‫َو ْٱﺑ ُﻦ آ ِ ﻠ ِﺔ ٱ‬
‫ﺑﯿ‬ ‫اور ﻠﯿ ﮐﮭﺎ وا‬
and by the son of the liver-eater woman,

‫ٱﻟﻠ ِﻌ ُ ْٱﺑ ُﻦ ٱﻟﻠ ِﻌ‬

‫ﺟﻮ ﻣﻠﻌﻮن اﺑﻦ ﻣﻠﻌﻮن‬
the accursed and son of the accursed
َ َ َ َ
‫ﻋ ٰ ِﻟ َﺴ ِﺎﻧﻚ َو ِﻟ َﺴ ِﺎن ﻧ ِ ﱢ ﻚ‬

ُ ؑ ‫ﺎب ) ﺎب ز ﺎرات( | ﺳﺎﺗ ﮟ ﻓﺼﻞ ز ﺎرت اﻣﺎم ﺣﺴ‬
‫ﻣﺎﺧﻮز‬ ‫ﺗ‬ ‫ﻣﻔﺎﺗﯿﺢ اﻟﺠﻨﺎن‬

by the tongue of You and by the tongue of Your Prophet,

َ
‫َﺻ ٰ ٱ ُ ﻋﻠ ْ ِﻪ َو ِآﻟ ِﻪ‬
ؑ
‫آل ﭘﺮ‬ ‫ﻧ ؐ اور ان‬ ‫ﺗ ا درود و ﺳﻼم ﻮ ﺗ‬
peace of Allah be upon him and his Household.

‫ﱢﻞ َﻣ ْﻮ ِﻃﻦ َو َﻣ ْﻮ ِﻗ ٍﻒ‬ ِ

‫ﺟﮩﺎں ر‬ ‫ﺮ ﺷﮩﺮ ﻣ‬
on every occasion and in every situation,
َ َ َ َ ‫َو َﻗ‬
‫ﻒ ِﻓ ِﻪ ﻧ ِ ﱡ ﻚ َﺻ ٰ ٱ ُ ﻋﻠ ْ ِﻪ َو ِآﻟ ِﻪ‬
ؐ ‫اور ﺮ ﺟﮕﮧ ﮐﮧ ﺟﮩﺎں ﺗ اﻧ ا‬
‫ﺮم ﭨﮭﮩﺮ‬
which Your Prophet, Allah’s peace be upon him, attended.
َ َ َ َ ْ
‫اﻟﻠ ُﻬ ﱠﻢ ٱﻟ َﻌ ْﻦ ٲ َ ﺎ ُﺳﻔ َ ﺎن َو ُﻣ َﻌﺎو َ ﺔ َو َ ﺪ ْﺑ َﻦ ُﻣ َﻌﺎو َ ﺔ‬
‫اے ﻣﻌﺒﻮد اﻇﮩﺎر ﺑ اری ﮐﺮ اﺑﻮ ﺳﻔ ﺎن اور ﻣﻌﺎو ﮧ اور ﯾ ﺪ ﺑﻦ ﻣﻌﺎو ﮧ‬
O Allah, pour curses upon Aba-Sufyan, Mu`wiyah, and
Yazid son of Mu`awiyah.
َ ‫َﻋﻠ ْﻴﻬ ْﻢ ﻣ ْﻨ َﻚ ٱﻟﻠ ْﻌ َﻨ ُﺔ ٲ َ َﺪ ٱﻵ ﺪ‬
‫ﻳﻦ‬ ِِ ِ ِ
‫ﻤ ﺸﮧ ﻤ ﺸﮧ‬ ‫اﻇﮩﺎر ﺑ اری ﻮ ﺗ ی ﻃﺮف‬ ‫ﮐﮧ ان‬
May Your curse be upon them incessantly and everlastingly
َ ُ ‫َو ٰﻫ َﺬا َﻳ ْﻮ ٌم َﻓﺮ َﺣ ْﺖ ﻪ‬
ُ ‫آل زَ ﺎد َو‬
‫آل َﻣ ْﺮ َوان‬ ٍ ِِ
‫ﺧﻮش ﻮ اوﻻد ز ﺎد اور اوﻻد ﻣﺮوان‬ ‫ﺟﺲ ﻣ‬ ‫اور ﯾﮧ وە دن‬
This is the day on which the family of Ziyad and the family
of Marwan gloated
َ ُ َْ
‫ِ ﻘﺘ ِﻠ ِﻬ ُﻢ ٱﻟ ُﺤ َﺴ ْ َ َﺻﻠ َﻮات ٱ ِ ﻋﻠ ْ ِﻪ‬
‫ﺻﻠﻮات ﷲ ﻋﻠﯿﮧ ﮐﻮ‬ ‫ﻗﺘﻞ ﮐ ﺎ ﺣﺴ‬ ‫ﮐﮧ اﻧﮩﻮں‬
because they had killed al-Husayn, Allah’s blessings be
upon him.
َ ْ َ ْ َ َ
‫ﻒ ﻋﻠ ْﻴ ِﻬ ُﻢ ٱﻟﻠ ْﻌ َﻦ ِﻣﻨﻚ‬ ‫اﻟﻠ ُﻬ ﱠﻢ ﻓﻀ ِﺎﻋ‬
‫ﻟﻌﻨﺖ‬ ‫اے ﻣﻌﺒﻮد ﺲ ﺗﻮز ﺎدە ﮐﺮ دے ان ﭘﺮ اﭘ ﻃﺮف‬
So, O Allah, pour frequent curses upon them
َ َْ َ َ َ َ
(‫وٱﻟﻌﺬاب )ٱ ِﻟ ﻢ‬
‫اور ﻋﺬاب ﮐﻮ‬
and double for them the painful chastisement.
َ ٰ َ ََ ‫ﱢ‬
‫اﻟﻠ ُﻬ ﱠﻢ ِإ ٲﺗﻘ ﱠﺮ ُب ِإﻟ ْ ﻚ ِ ﻫﺬا ٱﻟ َﻴ ْﻮ ِم‬
‫دن ﻣ‬ ‫ﺗ ا ﻗﺮب ﭼﺎ ﺘﺎ ﻮں ﮐﮧ آج‬ ‫ﺷﮏ ﻣ‬ ‫اے ﻣﻌﺒﻮد‬
O Allah, I do seek nearness to You on this day,
َ ٰ
‫َو ِ َﻣ ْﻮ ِﻗ ِ ﻫﺬا َوٲ ﱠ ِﺎم َﺣ َ ِﺎ‬
‫دﻧﻮں ﻣ‬ ‫اور اس ﺟﮕﮧ ﭘﺮ ﺟﮩﺎں ﮐﮭﮍا ﻮں اور اﭘ زﻧﺪ‬
on this occasion, and on all the days of my lifetime,
َ َ ْ َ
،‫ِ ﺎﻟ َ َ اﺋ ِﺔ ِﻣﻨ ُﻬ ْﻢ َوٱﻟﻠ ْﻌﻨ ِﺔ ﻋﻠ ْﻴ ِﻬ ْﻢ‬
‫ذر‬ ‫ذر اور ان ﭘﺮ ﻧﻔ ﻦ ﺑﮭ ﺠ‬ ‫ﺑ اری ﮐﺮ‬ ‫ان‬
by repudiating these and invoking Your curses upon them,
َ َ َ َ ‫َ ُ َ َ َ ﱢ‬
‫آل ﻧ ِ ﱢ ﻚ‬
ِ ‫و ِﭑﻟﻤﻮا ِة ِﻟﻨ ِ ﻚ و‬
ؑ ‫آل‬ ؐ ‫ﻧ‬ ‫ﺟﻮ ﻣﺠﮭ ﺗ‬ ‫اور ﺑﻮﺳ ﻠﮧ اس دوﺳ‬
and by declaring loyalty to Your Prophet and Your Prophet’s
Household,
َ ‫َ ْ َ َ ْ ُ ﱠ‬
‫ٱﻟﺴ ُم‬ ‫ﻋﻠ ِﻪ وﻋﻠﻴ ِﻬﻢ‬
ؑ
‫آل ﭘﺮ‬ ‫ﻧ ؐ اور ان‬ ‫ﺳﻼم ﻮ ﺗ‬
peace be upon him and them.
ْ ِ ‫ﺲ ْ اﻟ َﻘ ْ َو ْﺣ َﺸ‬ُ ُْ ْ َ َ

‫ﻣﺎﺧﻮز‬ ‫ﺗ‬ ‫ﻣﻔﺎﺗﯿﺢ اﻟﺠﻨﺎن‬

: ‫ﭘﮭﺮ ﺳﻮ ﻣﺮﺗﺒﮧ ﮐﮩ‬

You may then repeat the following words one hundred times:

‫اﻟﻠ ُﻬ ﱠﻢ ٱﻟ َﻌ ْﻦ ﱠاو َل ﻇ ِﺎﻟ ٍﻢ‬

‫اس ﭘﮩ ﻇﺎﻟﻢ ﮐﻮ‬ ‫اے ﻣﻌﺒﻮد ﻣﺤﺮوم ﮐﺮ اﭘ رﺣﻤﺖ‬
O Allah, pour curses upon the foremost persecutor

‫آل ُﻣ َﺤ ﱠﻤ ٍﺪ‬ َ ‫َ َ ﱠ ُ َ ﱠ‬
ؐ
ِ ‫ﻇﻠﻢ ﺣﻖ ﻣﺤﻤ ٍﺪ و‬
ؐ
‫ﺿﺎﺋﻊ ﮐ ﺎ ﻣﺤﻤﺪ و آل ﻣﺤﻤﺪ ﺎ ﺣﻖ‬ ‫ﺟﺲ‬
who usurped the right of Muhammad and Muhammad’s
Household
َ َ ُ َ َ
‫آﺧ َﺮ ﺗ ِﺎﺑﻊ ﻟﻪ ﻋ ٰ ذ ٰ ِﻟﻚ‬
ِ ‫و‬
‫ﭘ وی‬ ‫اس‬ ‫آﺧﺮ ﻣ‬ ‫ﺟﺲ‬ ‫اوراﺳﮑﻮ ﺑ‬
and the last follower who acceded to his deed.
َ ْ ‫ﺎﻫ َﺪت ٱﻟ ُﺤ َﺴ‬
َ َ ََ َ َ ‫ُ ﱠ‬
ِ ‫ﺟ‬ ِ ‫اﻟﻠﻬﻢ ٱﻟﻌﻦ ٱﻟ ِﻌﺼﺎ‬
‫ٱﻟ‬ ‫ﺔ‬
ؑ ‫ﺣﺴ‬ ‫ﺟﻨﮓ‬ ‫اے ﻣﻌﺒﻮد ﻟﻌﻨﺖ ﮐﺮ اس ﺟﻤﺎﻋﺖ ﭘﺮ ﺟﻨﮩﻮں‬
O Allah, pour curses upon the gang that struggled against
al-Husayn
َْ َ ْ َ ْ ْ َ
‫َوﺷﺎ َ َﻌﺖ َو َ ﺎ َ َﻌﺖ َوﺗﺎ َ َﻌﺖ ﻋ ٰ ﻗﺘ ِﻠ ِﻪ‬
‫ﮏ اور ﻢ را ﺗﮭ‬ ‫ان‬ ‫ﺟﻮ ﻗﺘﻞ ﺣﺴ ؑ ﻣ‬ ‫ﻧ ان ﭘ ـ‬
and who supported each other against him, paid homage to
his enemies, and participated in slaying him.
ْ
‫اﻟﻠ ُﻬ ﱠﻢ ٱﻟ َﻌﻨ ُﻬ ْﻢ َﺟ ِﻤ ﻌﺎ‬
‫اے ﻣﻌﺒﻮد ان ﺳﺐ ﭘﺮ ﻟﻌﻨﺖ ﺑﮭﯿﺞ‬
O Allah, pour curses upon all of them.
: ‫اب ﺳﻮ ﻣﺮﺗﺒﮧ ﮐﮩ‬
You may then repeat the following words one hundred times:
َ َ َ َ َ َُ ‫ﱠ‬
ِ ‫ﻟﺴ م ﻋﻠ ْ ﻚ ﺎ ا ﺎ ﻋ ْ ِﺪ ٱ‬ ‫ا‬
ؑ ‫ﺳﻼم ﻮ‬
‫آپ ﭘﺮاے ا ﺎ ﻋ ﺪ ﷲ‬
Peace be upon you, O Aba-`Abdullah
َ َ ْ ْ ٰ ‫َو َﻋ‬
‫ٱﻻر َواح ٱﻟ ِ َﺣﻠﺖ ِ ِﻔﻨ ِﺎﺋﻚ‬
‫ﭘﺮ آ ﮨ‬ ‫رو‬ ؑ ‫اور ان روﺣﻮں ﭘﺮ ﺟﻮ‬
‫آپ‬
and upon the souls that gathered in your courtyard.
َ َ َ
‫ﻋﻠ ْ ﻚ ِﻣ ﱢ َﺳ ُم ٱ ِ ا َ ﺪا‬
‫ﺧﺪا ﺎ ﺳﻼم ﻮ ﻤ ﺸﮧ‬ ‫آپ ﭘﺮ ﻣ ی ﻃﺮف‬
Peace of Allah be upon you from me forever
‫ﱠ‬ ُ
‫َﻣﺎ َ ﻘ ﺖ َو َ ِ َ ٱﻟﻠ ْ ُﻞ َوٱﻟﻨ َﻬ ُﺎر‬
‫ﺟﺐ ﺗﮏ زﻧﺪە ﻮں اور ﺟﺐ ﺗﮏ رات دن ﺎ ﮨ‬
as long as I am existent and as long as there are day and
night.
َ َ ‫َو َ َﺟ َﻌﻠ ُﻪ ٱ ُ آﺧ َﺮ ٱﻟ َﻌ ْﻬﺪ ﻣ ﱢ ﻟ‬
‫ﺎرﺗ ْﻢ‬
ِ ِ ِ ِ ِ
‫ز ﺎرت ﺎ آﺧﺮی ﻣﻮﻗﻊ‬ ‫ﻟ آپ‬ ‫اورﺧﺪا ﻗﺮار ﻧﮧ دے اس ﮐﻮ ﻣ‬
May Allah not cause this (visit) to be the last of my visit to
you (all).
ْ ‫ﻟﺴ َ ُم َﻋ ٰ ٱﻟ ُﺤ َﺴ‬
‫ا ﱠ‬
‫ﺳﻼم ﻮ ﺣﺴ ؑ ﭘﺮ‬
Peace be upon al-Husayn,
ْ ‫َو َﻋ ٰ َﻋ ﱢ ْﺑﻦ ٱﻟ ُﺤ َﺴ‬
ؑ
ِ
‫ﭘﺮ‬ ‫اور ﺷﮩﺰادە ﻋ ؑ ﻓﺮزﻧﺪ ﺣﺴ‬
ْ ِ ‫ﺲ ْ اﻟ َﻘ ْ َو ْﺣ َﺸ‬ُ ُْ ْ َ َ

‫‪upon `Ali ibn al-Husayn,‬‬

‫َو َﻋ ٰ ْاو َ د ٱﻟ ُﺤ َﺴ ْ‬
‫ِ‬
‫اوﻻد ﭘﺮ‬ ‫اور ﺳﻼم ﻮ ﺣﺴ ؑ‬
‫‪upon the sons of al-Husayn,‬‬
‫َو َﻋ ٰ ْ‬
‫اﺻ َﺤﺎب ٱﻟ ُﺤ َﺴ ْ‬
‫ؑ ِ‬
‫اﺻﺤﺎب ﭘﺮ‬ ‫اور ﺣﺴ‬
‫‪and upon the companions of al-Husayn.‬‬
‫ﭘﮭﺮ ﮐﮩ ‪:‬‬
‫‪You may then say the following words:‬‬
‫ﺺ ٲ ْﻧ َﺖ ٲ ﱠو َل ﻇﺎﻟﻢ ﭑﻟﻠ ْﻌﻦ ﻣ ﱢ‬
‫اﻟﻠ ُﻬ ﱠﻢ ُﺧ ﱠ‬
‫ِ‬ ‫ٍ ِ‬ ‫ِ‬
‫ﻟﻌﻨﺖ ﮐ ﺴﺎﺗﮫ‬ ‫اے ﻣﻌﺒﻮد ﺗﻮ ﻣﺨﺼﻮص ﻓﺮﻣﺎ ﭘﮩ ﻇﺎﻟﻢ ﮐﻮ ﻣ ی ﻃﺮف‬
‫‪O Allah, pour special curses on the foremost persecutor‬‬
‫ً‬ ‫َ‬
‫َوٱ ْ ﺪا ِ ِﻪ ٲ ﱠو ‪،‬‬
‫ﻟﻌﻨﺖ ﺎ آﻏﺎز ﻓﺮﻣﺎ‬ ‫ﺗﻮ اب ا‬
‫‪and begin with him first,‬‬
‫ﱠ َ َ ﱠ‬
‫ٱﻟﺜ ِﺎﻟ َﺚ َو ﱠ‬ ‫ُ‬
‫ٱﻟﺮ ِاﺑ َﻊ‬ ‫ﺛ ﱠﻢ ٱﻟ َﻌﻦ ٱﻟﺜﺎ ِ و‬
‫اور ﭘﮭﺮ ﭼﻮﺗﮭ ﭘﺮ ﻟﻌﻨﺖ ﺑﮭﯿﺞ‬ ‫اور ﺗ‬ ‫ﭘﮭﺮﻟﻌﻨﺖ ﺑﮭﯿﺞ دو‬
‫‪and then pour curses on the second, the third, and the fourth‬‬
‫َ َ‬
‫اﻟﻠ ُﻬ ﱠﻢ ٱﻟ َﻌ ْﻦ َﻳ ﺪ ﺧ ِﺎﻣﺴﺎ‬
‫اے ﻣﻌﺒﻮد ﻟﻌﻨﺖ ﮐﺮ ﯾ ﺪ ﭘﺮ ﺟﻮ ﺎﻧﭽﻮاں‬
‫‪O Allah, curse Yazid fifthly,‬‬
‫ََ‬ ‫ُ َ‬
‫َوٱﻟ َﻌ ْﻦ ﻋ َﺒ ْ ﺪ ٱ ِ ْﺑ َﻦ زَ ٍﺎد َو ْٱﺑ َﻦ َﻣ ْﺮ َﺟﺎﻧﺔ‬
‫اور ﻟﻌﻨﺖ ﮐﺮﻋﺒ ﺪ ﷲ ﻓﺮزﻧﺪ ز ﺎد ﭘﺮ اور ﻓﺮزﻧﺪ ﻣﺮﺟﺎﻧﮧ ﭘﺮ‬
‫‪and curse `Ubaydull¡h ibn Ziy¡d, the son of Marjanah,‬‬
‫ُ‬
‫َوﻋ َﻤ َﺮ ْﺑ َﻦ َﺳ ْﻌ ٍﺪ َو ِﺷ ْﻤﺮا‬
‫اور ﻋﻤﺮ ﻓﺮزﻧﺪ ﺳﻌﺪ ﭘﺮ اور ﺷﻤﺮ ﭘﺮ‬
‫‪`Umar ibn Sa`d, and Shimr,‬‬
‫َ‬ ‫آل زَ ﺎد َو َ‬ ‫ُ َْ َ‬
‫آل َﻣ ْﺮ َوان‬ ‫ٍ‬
‫ﺎن َو َ‬ ‫َو َ‬
‫آل ا ِ ﺳﻔ‬
‫اور اوﻻد اﺑﻮﺳﻔ ﺎن ﭘﺮ اور اوﻻد ز ﺎد ﭘﺮ اور اوﻻد ﻣﺮوان ﭘﺮ‬
‫‪the family of Aba-Sufyan, the family of Ziyad, and the‬‬
‫‪family of Marwan‬‬

‫ِإ ٰ َﻳ ْﻮ ِم ٱﻟ ِﻘ َ َﺎﻣ ِﺔ‬

‫دن ﺗﮏ‬ ‫ﻗ ﺎﻣﺖ‬
‫‪up to the Resurrection Day.‬‬
‫ﺟﺎ اور ﮐﮩ ‪:‬‬ ‫ﻌﺪ ﺳﺠﺪے ﻣ‬ ‫اس‬
‫‪You may then prostrate yourself and say the following‬‬
‫‪words meanwhile:‬‬
‫ُ‬ ‫َ‬
‫اﻟﻠ ُﻬ ﱠﻢ ﻟﻚ ٱﻟ َﺤ ْﻤﺪ‬
‫ﻟ ﺣﻤﺪ‬ ‫اے ﻣﻌﺒﻮد ﺗ‬
‫;‪O Allah, all praise be to You‬‬
‫َ َ‬ ‫َ ﱠ‬
‫َﺣ ْﻤﺪ ٱﻟﺸﺎ ِ َﻦ ﻟﻚ ﻋ ٰ ُﻣ َﺼ ِﺎﺑ ِﻬ ْﻢ‬
‫ﻣﺠﮭ ﻋﺰاداری ﻧﺼ ﺐ‬ ‫ﺣﻤﺪ‪ ،‬ﺟﺲ‬ ‫ﺷﮑﺮ ﮐﺮ واﻟﻮں‬
‫‪the praise of those who thank You for their misfortunes.‬‬
‫َ ﱠ‬ ‫َ َ‬ ‫َ ْ ُ‬
‫اﻟﺤﻤﺪ ِ ِ ﻋ ٰ ﻋ ِﻈ ِﻢ رز ِ‬
‫ﻏﻢ ﭘﺮ‬ ‫اس ﺑﮍ‬ ‫ﻟ‬ ‫ﺣﻤﺪ ﺧﺪا‬
‫‪All praise be to Allah for my great misfortune.‬‬

O Allah, (please) grant me the intercession of al-Husayn on
the Day of Coming (to You)

‫َوﺛ ﱢ ﺖ ِ ﻗﺪ َم ِﺻﺪ ٍق ِﻋﻨﺪك‬
‫ﺎس آؤں‬ ‫ﺗ‬ ‫ﻗﺪم ﮐﻮ ﺳ ﺪﮬﺎ اور ﺎ ﺑﻨﺎ ﺟﺐ ﻣ‬ ‫اور ﻣ‬
and make for me with You a firm step of honesty
ْ ‫اﺻ َﺤﺎب ٱﻟ ُﺤ َﺴ‬
ْ ‫َﻣ َﻊ ٱﻟ ُﺤ َﺴ ْ َو‬

‫ٱﻟﺴ ُم‬ ‫ﺬﻳﻦ َ ﺬﻟﻮٱ ُﻣ َﻬ َﺠ ُﻬ ْﻢ دون ٱﻟ ُﺤ َﺴ ْ ﻋﻠ ْ ِﻪ‬ ‫ٱﻟ‬
‫ﻗ ﺎن ﮐﺮ دﯾﮟ۔‬ ‫ﺣﺴ ؑ ﮐ ﻠ اﭘ ﺟﺎﻧ‬ ‫ﺟﻨﮩﻮں‬
who sacrificed their souls in defense of al-Husayn, peace be
upon him.

SAFWAN'S DISCOURSE ON THE MERIT OF
ZIYARAH OF ASHURA
‫ﺻﻔﻮان ﮐﮩﺎ ﮐﮧ ﻋﻠﻘﻤﮧ اﺑﻦ ﷴ اﻣﺎم‬ ‫ﺳ ﻒ اﺑﻦ ﻋﻤ ﮐﮩﺘﺎ ﮐﮧ ﻣ‬
‫ف ز ﺎرت ﻋﺎﺷﻮرە‬ ‫ﻠ ﮧ اس‬ ؑ ‫ﷴ‬
‫ﺎﻗﺮ ﯾﮧ دﻋﺎ ﻤﺎر ﻟ ﻧﻘﻞ ﻧﮩ‬
‫ﺑ ﺎن‬
Sayf ibn ‘Umayrah has reported that he said to Safwan,
“‘Alqamah ibn Muhammad has not reported this
supplication to us from Imam al-Baqir (‘a). He has only
reported the ziyarah form.”
‫ﮐﮩﺎ ﮐﮧ‬ ‫ﺻﻔﻮان‬
Answering him, Safwan said:
ؑ
‫دار اﻣﺎم ﺟﻌﻔﺮ ﺻﺎدق ﺳﺎﺗﮫ اس ﻣﻘﺎم ﭘﺮ آ ﺎ ﺗﮭﺎ ﺗﻮ آپ ﯾ ﻋﻤﻞ‬ ‫ﻣ اﭘ‬
‫ﻌ اس ﻃ ح ز ﺎرت ﭘﮍ اور ﭘﮭﺮ دو رﮐﻌﺖ ﻧﻤﺎز ﺠﺎ ﻻ‬ ‫ﮐ ﺎ ﺟﻮ ﻢ ﮐ ﺎ‬
‫ﻌﺪ ﯾ دﻋﺎ وداع ﭘﮍ ﺗ ﺟ ﺴﺎ ﮐﮧ ﻢ ﻧﻤﺎز ﭘﮍ اور وداع ﮐ ﺎ‬
I once accompanied my master al-Sadiq, Allah’s peace and
blessings be upon him, to this very place. He did as same
as we have just done as regarding the method of ziyarah
and then, after offering a prayer similar to the one we have
just offered and bidding the visited Imam farewell as same
as we have done, he said this very supplication.
‫ﻣ ﺪ ﮐﮩﺎ ﮐﮧ‬ ‫ﺻﻔﻮان‬
Safwan further said.

‫اﻣﺎم ﺟﻌﻔﺮ ﺻﺎدق ﻣﺠﮫ ﻓﺮﻣﺎ ﺎ ﮐﮧ اس ز ﺎرت اور دﻋﺎ ﺎ ﭘﮍﮬﻨﺎ اﭘﻨﺎ ﺷﯿﻮە‬
‫ﺑﻨﺎ ﻟﻮ اور ا ﻃ ح ز ﺎرت ﮐ ﺎ ﮐﺮو‬
Imam al-Sadiq (‘a), Safwan added, said to me, “Observe
this form of ziyarah and this supplication and use them
whenever you visit (the Imam).
‫ﺮ اس ﺷﺨﺺ ﻟ ﺟﻮ اس‬ ‫ﺲ ور ﻣ ﺿﺎﻣﻦ ﻮں ﺧﺪا ﺟﺎﻧﺐ‬
‫ﻃ ح ز ﺎرت ﮐﺮ اور ا ﻃ ح دور ﺎ ﻧﺰد ﮏ دﻋﺎ ﭘﮍ ﺗﻮ اس ز ﺎرت‬
‫ﻗﺒﻮل ﻮ اس ﺎ ﺳﻼم ﺣ ت ﺗﮏ ﭘﮩﻨ ﺎ اور ﻧﺎ ﻣﻘﺒﻮل ﻧﮧ ﻮ ﺎ ﺟﺐ ﺑ‬
‫وە ﺧﺪا ﺣﺎﺟﺖ ﻃﻠﺐ ﮐﺮ ﺎوە ﭘﻮری ﻮ اور ﺧﺪا ﺗﻌﺎ ٰ ا ﻣﺎﯾﻮ‬

Surely, I guarantee on behalf of Almighty Allah for any one

who says this form of ziyarah and this supplication while
visiting the holy tomb or being at a distant place that his
visit will be accepted, his efforts will be praiseworthy, his
greetings will reach the Imams and will never be screened
from them, all his requests will be granted by Almighty
Allah whatever they will be, and he will never be
disappointed.
‫ﺳﺎﺗﮫ ﯾﮧ ز ﺎرت اﭘ واﻟﺪ ﮔﺮا اﻣﺎم ﻋ‬ ‫ا ﺿﻤﺎﻧﺖ‬ ‫اے ﺻﻔﻮان ﻣ‬

O Safwan, the Imam (‘a) added, I have received this very
guarantee for those who use this form of ziyarah when
visiting the holy tombs from my father

who received it from his brother al-Hasan (‘a)
‫ت رﺳﻮلﷺ‬ ‫ﺿﻤﺎﻧﺖ ﮐ ﺴﺎﺗﮫ ﺣ‬ ‫ا‬ ‫اﻧﮩﻮں‬
who received it from his father the Commander of the
Faithful who received it from the Messenger of Allah
‫ﺳﺎﺗﮫ ﺟ اﺋ ؑﻞ‬ ‫ﺿﻤﺎﻧﺖ‬ ‫ا‬ ‫تﷺ‬ ‫اور آﻧﺤ‬
who received it from Archangel Gabriel
‫ﺳ ﮐﮧ‬ ‫ﺳﺎﺗﮫ ﯾﮧ ز ﺎرت ﺧﺪا وﻧﺪ ﻋﺎﻟﻢ‬ ‫ﺿﻤﺎﻧﺖ‬ ‫ا‬ ‫اور ﺟ اﺋ ؑﻞ‬
who received it from Almighty Allah,
‫ﮐﮧ‬ ‫ﻗﺴﻢ ﮐﮭﺎ‬ ‫اﭘ ذات ﻣﻘﺪس‬ ٰ ‫ﻘﯿﻨﺎ ﺣﻖ ﺗﻌﺎ‬
Indeed Allah (swt) have taken oath that
‫اور‬ ‫ﺟﻮ ﺷﺨﺺ ﯾﮧ ز ﺎرت ﭘﮍھ ﮐﺮ اﻣﺎم ﺣﺴ ؑ دور ﺎ ﻧﺰد ﮏ ز ﺎرت ﮐﺮ‬
‫ﺮ ﺧﻮا ﺶ‬ ‫ﭘﮭﺮ ﯾ دﻋﺎ ﭘﮍ ﺗﻮ ﻣ اس ز ﺎرت ﻗﺒﻮل ﮐﺮوں ﺎ۔ اس‬
‫ﻮ اس ﺎ ﺳﻮال ﭘﻮرا ﮐﺮوں ﺎ اور وە ﻣ ی ﺎرﺎە‬ ‫ﭘﻮری ﮐﺮوں ﺎ وە ﺟﺘ ﺑ‬
‫ﻣﺎﯾﻮس و ﻧﺎ ﺎم ﻧﮩ ﻠ ﺎ ﻠ ﮧ وە ﺑﮧ ﭼﺸﻢ روﺷﻦ وا ﺲ ﺟﺎ ﺎ ﮐﮧ اس‬
‫ﻮ وە ﺣﺼﻮل ﺟﻨﺖ ﻣ ﺎﻣ ﺎب اور ﺟﮩﻨﻢ آزاد‬ ‫ﺣﺎﺟﺖ ﭘﻮری ﻮ ﭼ‬
‫ﻮ ﭼ ﺎ ﻮ ﺎ ﻣ اس ﺷﻔﺎﻋﺖ ﻗﺒﻮل ﮐﺮوں ﺎ ﺳﻮا دﺷﻤﻦ اﮨﻞ ﺑ ﺖ اس‬
‫ﺣﻖ ﻣ اس ﺷﻔﺎﻋﺖ ﻗﺒﻮل ﻧﮧ ﻮ‬
Who undertook for any one who would visit Imam al-
Husayn (‘a) with this form of ziyarah and say this very
supplication from the holy shrine or from a distant place
that He (i.e. Almighty Allah) Himself should accept his
visitation, grant him his requests whatever they would be,
and respond to his prayers. Moreover, the visitor should
never leave with disappointment; rather, Almighty Allah
should make him leave with pleasure and delight of his eye
due to settling of his needs, winning Paradise, being
manumitted from Hellfire, and being granted the right to
intercede for whomever he wishes except those who openly
incur the animosity of the Ahl al-Bayt (‘a).
‫ﮐﮧ‬ ‫اس ﭘﺮ ﮔﻮاە ﺑﻨﺎ ﺎ‬ ‫ﻗﺴﻢ ﮐﮭﺎ اور ﻤ‬ ‫اﭘ ذات ﺑﺮﺣﻖ‬ ٰ ‫ﺧﺪا ﺗﻌﺎ‬
‫دی ۔‬ ‫ﻣﻼﺋﮑﮧ ﮔﻮا‬ ‫ﺟﺲ اس‬
Almighty Allah, as was maintained by Archangel Gabriel,
undertook this pledge and called the angels to witness for it
after the angels of His Kingdom had witnessed the same.
‫ﺟ اﺋ ؑﻞ ﺑ ﯾﮧ ﮐﮩﺎ ﮐﮧ ﺎ رﺳﻮل ﷲ ﷺ! ﺧﺪا ﻣﺠﮭ ﺑﮭ ﺠﺎ ﮐﮧ آپ‬
‫ﮐﻮ ﺸﺎرت دوں اور ﻣ ور ﮐﺮوں ﻧ اس ﻟ ﺑﮭ ﺠﺎ ﮐﮧ ﻋ و ﻓﺎﻃﻤﮧ و‬
‫ﺣﺴﻦ و ﺣﺴ اور آپ اوﻻد د ﮕﺮ اﺋﻤﮧ ﻣﻌﺼﻮﻣ ﮐﻮ ﺸﺎرت دو ﮐﮧ ﯾﮧ‬
،‫ﺣﺴﻦ‬،‫ ﻓﺎﻃﻤﮧ‬، ‫ﺧﻮ اور ﺷﺎدﻣﺎ ﺗﺎ ﻗ ﺎﻣﺖ ﻗﺎﺋﻢ ر ﻟﮩﺬا آپ ﺧﻮ ﻋ‬
‫اور د ﮕﺮ اﺋﻤﮧ اور آﭘ ﺷﻌﯿﻮں ﯾﮧ ﻣ ت و ﺷﺎدﻣﺎ ﺗﺎ ﻗ ﺎﻣﺖ ﺤﺎل و‬، ‫ﺣﺴ‬
‫ﻗﺎﺋﻢ ر‬
O Allah’s Messenger, Archangel Gabriel added, Almighty
Allah has sent me to carry this pleasant and good tidings to
you as well as to ‘Ali, Fatimah, al-Hasan, al-Husayn, the
Imams from your descendants, and your adherents (i.e.
Shi’ah) up to the Resurrection Day. Up to the Resurrection
Day, you as well as ‘Ali, Fatimah, al-Hasan, al-Husayn, and

your adherents shall be pleased.

ؑ
‫اﺳ ﻌﺪ ﺻﻔﻮان ﮐﮩﺎ ﮐﮧ اﻣﺎم ﺟﻌﻔﺮ ﺻﺎدق ﻣﺠﮫ ﻓﺮﻣﺎ ﺎ ﮐﮧ اے‬
‫ﺻﻔﻮان ﺟﺐ ﺑ ﺎرﺎە اﻟ ٰ ﻣ ﺗﺠﮭ ﮐﻮ ﺣﺎﺟﺖ در ﭘ ﺶ ﻮا ﮐﺮ ﺗﻮ ﺗﻢ‬
‫ﻮ و ﺎں ﯾﮧ ز ﺎرت اور ﯾﮧ دﻋﺎ ﭘﮍﮬﻮ اور ﭘﮭﺮ ﺟﻮ ﺣﺎﺟﺖ ﺑ‬ ‫ﺟﺲ ﺟﮕﮧ ﭘﺮ ﺑ‬
‫اﭘ رﺳﻮل ﷲ‬ ٰ ‫اور ﺣﻖ ﺗﻌﺎ‬ ‫ﺧﺪا ﻃﻠﺐ ﮐﺮو وە ﭘﻮری ﺟﺎ‬
‫ﻋﻄﺎ و ﺨﺸﺶ ﺎ ﺟﻮ وﻋﺪە ﮐﺮ رﮐﮭﺎ وە اﺳ ﺧﻼف ﻧﮩ ﮐﺮ ﺎ واﻟﺤﻤﺪ‬

Imam al-Sadiq, Safwan added, then said to me: O Safwan,

whenever you have an impenetrable problem that cannot
be solved except by Almighty Allah, you must then visit
(Imam al-Husayn) with this form of ziyarah, wherever you
would be, and follow it with this supplication. You may then
beseech your Lord to grant you your request and the
response shall soon come from Almighty Allah Who never
fails in His promise to His Messenger; out of His
magnanimity and favoring. All praise be then to Allah.
MORE CONFIRMATIONS
‫ﺳﻔﺮ ﺣﺞ ذ ﻞ‬ ‫ﻣﻮﻟﻒ ﮐﮩ ﮨ ﻧﺠﻢ اﻟﺜﺎﻗﺐ ﻣ ﺣﺎج ﺳ ﺪ اﺣﻤﺪ رﺷ‬
‫ف ﻣﻼﻗﺎت ﺣ ﺎ ﺖ‬ ‫ﻣ ﺣ ت ﺻﺎﺣﺐ اﻟﻌ ارواﺣﻨﺎﻓﺪاە ان‬
‫درج ﺟﺲ ﻣ اﻣﺎم اﻟﻌ ﴿ﻋﺞ﴾ ﺎ ﯾﮧ ﻓﺮﻣﺎن ﻧﻘﻞ ﻮا ﮐﮧ ﺗﻢ ز ﺎرت‬
‫ﻋﺎﺷﻮرە ﮐﯿﻮں ﻧﮩ ﭘﮍﮬ ﻋﺎﺷﻮرە ﻋﺎﺷﻮرە ﻋﺎﺷﻮرە اور ا ﺸﺎ ﷲ ﻢ ﯾﮧ ﺣ ﺎ ﺖ‬
‫ز ﺎرت ﺟﺎﻣﻌﮧ ﮐﺒ ە ﺳﺎﺗﮫ ﻧﻘﻞ ﮐ ﮟ‬
In the book of al-Najm al-Thaqib (by al-Nuri), the story of
the attendance of Hajj Sayyid Ahmad al-Rashti in the
presence of the Imam of the Age, may our souls be
accepted as ransoms from him, during his journey of the
hajj pilgrimage, has been told in details. In one of the
details of this story, which will be cited in this book after
the Major Comprehensive Form of ziyarah (al-Ziyarah al-
Jami’ah al-Kabirah), the Imam (‘a) said to al-Rashti with
confirmation, “Why do you not (frequently) recite the
ziyarah of ‘Ashura’, ‘Ashura’, ‘Ashura’, ‘Ashura’...?”
‫ﮐﮧ‬ ‫اﺳﺘﺎد ﺛﻘﺘﮧ اﻻﺳﻼم ﻧﻮری)رح( ﺎ ارﺷﺎد‬ ‫ﺗﺎ ﻢ ﻤﺎر‬
Commenting on this, our trustworthy mentor Shaykh al-
Nuri said:
‫ﮐﮧ ﯾﮧ ز ﺎرت د ﮕﺮ‬ ‫ﺎ‬ ‫ز ﺎرت ﻋﺎﺷﻮرە ﻣﺮﺗﺒﮧ و ﻓﻀﻠ ﺖ ﻣ اﺗﻨﺎ‬
‫ف ﻇﺎ ﺮی اﻣﻼ و ا ﺸﺎ ﻧﮩ ﮔﻮ ﮐﮧ ان‬ ‫ز ﺎرﺗﻮں ﻃ ح ﻣﻌﺼﻮم ﻃﺮف‬
‫ﻟ ﮑﻦ ﯾﮧ ز ﺎرت‬ ‫وە ﻋﺎﻟﻢ ﺎﻻ آ‬ ‫ﺎ دﻟﻮں ﺟﻮ ﺎت ﻧ ﻠ‬
‫ﺟﻮ ا ﺗﺮﺗ ﺐ ز ﺎرت و ﻟﻌﻨﺖ اورﺳﻼم و دﻋﺎ‬ ‫اﺣﺎد ﺚ ﻗﺪﺳﯿﮧ ﻣ‬
‫ﺳﺎﺗﮫ ذات اﺣﺪ ﺖ ﺟ اﺋ ﻞ اﻣ ؑ ﺗﮏ اور ان ﺣ ت ﺧﺎﺗﻢ‬
‫اﻟﻨ ﯿ ﷺ ﺗﮏ ﭘﮩﻨ‬
One of the unparalleled merits and points of honor of
ziyarah of ‘Ashura’ is that its form is not similar to the other
ordinary forms of ziyarah, which have been composed and
dictated by the Holy Infallibles apparently, although
nothing is issued from the immaculate hearts of these Holy
Infallibles except statements proving that they have
received these words from the Most High Origin. The
ziyarah of ‘Ashura’, however, is similar to the Words of
Almighty Allah that He revealed to Archangel Gabriel. This
fact can be noticed in the words of this form of ziyarah,
including the statements of invoking curses (on the
enemies), the statements of invoking blessings (on the
Imam and his companions), and the supplicatory
statements. Hence, Archangel Gabriel conveyed these
words to the Seal of the Prophets.
‫ﻢ دﻧﻮں ﺗﮏ اس ﮐﻮ‬ ‫اس ﺗﺠ ﮧ و آزﻣﺎ ﺶ ﻣﻄﺎﺑﻖ ﭼﺎﻟ ﺲ روز ﺎ اس‬
‫روزاﻧﮧ ﭘﮍﮬﻨﺎ ﺣﺎﺟﺘﻮں ﭘﻮرا ﻮ اور ﻣﻘﺎﺻﺪ ﺑﺮآ اوردﻓﻌﯿﮧ دﺷﻤﻦ ﻟ‬

‫ﻣﺎﺧﻮز‬ ‫ﺗ‬ ‫ﻣﻔﺎﺗﯿﺢ اﻟﺠﻨﺎن‬

As maintained by tangible experiences, this form of ziyarah

is unique in achieving the requests, gaining the needs, and
warding off the enemies if a visitor recites it continuously
for forty days or even less. However, the most astonishing
effect of preserving in reciting this form of ziyarah can be
touched in the following story, mentioned in the book of
Dar al-Salam. However, I will mention it in brief:
‫ﺗﮭ اور‬ ‫ﺛﻘﮧ ﺻﺎﻟﺢ ﻣﺘ ﺣﺎج ﻣﻼ ﺣﺴﻦ ﯾﺰدی)رح( ﺟﻮ ﺎرﺳﺎ اﻓﺮاد ﻣ‬
‫ﻧﺠﻒ ا ف ﻣ ﻋ ﺎدت و ز ﺎرت ﻣ ﻣ وف ر ﺎ ﮐﺮ ﺗﮭ اﻧﮩﻮں ﺛﻘﮧ اﻣ‬
‫ﺣﺎج ﷴ ﻋ ﯾﺰدی)رح( ﻧﻘﻞ ﮐ ﺎ ﺟﻮ ﻣﺮد ﻓﺎﺿﻞ و ﺻﺎﻟﺢ ﺗﮭ اور ﯾﺰد‬
‫ﺧﺎﻃﺮ ﻣﺸﻐﻮل ﻋ ﺎدت ر ﮨ‬ ‫ﻤ ﺸﮧ آﺧﺮت ﺑﮭﻼ‬ ‫ﻣ‬
Hasan al-Yazdi the trustworthy, righteous, and pious Hajj
and Mawla who lived in the vicinity of the holy shrine in al-
Ghari (i.e. al-Najaf) and who was one of those who acted
faithfully as regards neighboring this holy place and
practiced acts of worship painstakingly, has reported the
following incident from Muhammad ‘Ali al-Yazdi the
trustworthy and honest Hajj:
‫ﻣﺰار‬ ‫اور ا‬ ‫ﻣﺪﻓﻮن ﮨ‬ ‫ﺻﺎﻟﺤ‬ ‫ﺑﮩﺖ‬ ‫ﯾﺰد ﺎ ﺮ واﻗﻊ ﻣﻘ ە ﺟﺲ ﻣ‬
‫ﮐﮩ ﮨ اس ﻣ راﺗ ﮔﺰار ﺗﮭ‬
In Yazd, there was a righteous and virtuous man who used
to preoccupy himself (with acts of worship) and make
preparations for his next life in his grave. He used to spend
nights in a graveyard in the skirts of the city of Yazd,
known as Mazar, in which a group of righteous people were
buried.
‫ان ﺎ ا ﮏ ﻤﺴﺎﯾﮧ ﺗﮭﺎ ﺟﻮ ان ﺳﺎﺗﮫ ﻼ ﺑﮍﮬﺎ ﺗﮭﺎ اور وە دوﻧﻮں ا ﮏ‬
‫اﺳﺘﺎد ﺷﺎ ﺮدی ﻣ ر ﺟﺐ وە ﺟﻮان ﻮا ﺗﻮ اس وﺻﻮ ﻋ ﺎ ﺷﻐﻞ‬
‫ﺎم ﻣ دﻧ ﺎ ﭼﻞ ﺴﺎ وە ا ﺟﮕﮧ ﻗ ﺐ دﻓﻦ‬ ‫اﺧﺘ ﺎر ﮐ ﺎ اور ﭘﮭﺮ ا‬
‫ﻮا ﺟﮩﺎں ﯾﮧ ﻣﺮد ﺻﺎﻟﺢ راﺗﻮں ﮐﻮ ﻋ ﺎدت ﮐﺮ ﺗﮭ‬
He had a neighbor who grew up with him since infanthood
and both joined the same school and studied under the
same mentor. Nevertheless, this neighbor became a tither
(i.e. he seizes tenth of the people’s gains by means of
power and injustice). He did not quit this process until he
died. He was then buried in that graveyard in a grave near
the place where the righteous man used to stay overnight.
‫ﻋﻤﺪە‬ ‫ا‬ ‫اس ﻣﺮگ ﭘﺮ اﺑ ا ﮏ ﻣﺎە ﻧﮧ ﮔﺰرا ﺗﮭﺎ ﮐﮧ اس ﻧ ﮏ ﺷﺨﺺ‬
‫ﻟ ﺎس اور ﺑﮩ ﻦ ﺣﺎﻟﺖ ﻣ د ﮑﮭﺎ‬
In less than one month after the death of this tither, his
righteous neighbor saw him in sleep in a good-looking
costume as if he was enjoying the brightness of bliss.
‫ﺗﺐ وە اس ﻗ ﺐ ﮔ اور اس ﮐﮩﺎ ﮐﮧ ﻣ ﺗﻤﮩﺎر آﻏﺎز و اﻧﺠﺎم زﻧﺪ‬
‫واﻗﻒ ﻮں اور ﺗﻤﮩﺎر ﻇﺎ ﺮ و ﺎﻃﻦ ﮐﻮ ﺟﺎﻧﺘﺎ ﻮں ﮐﮧ ﺗﻢ ا ﻟﻮﮔﻮں ﻣ‬
‫ﺎر ﻣ ﯾﮧ ﺧ ﺎل ﮐ ﺎ ﺟﺎ ﮐﮧ ان ﺎ ﺎﻃﻦ ﺻﺎف ﻧ ﺟﻮ‬ ‫ﻧﮧ ﺗﮭ ﺟﻦ‬
‫ﭘ ﺸﮧ ﺗﻢ اﺧﺘ ﺎر ﮐﺮ رﮐﮭﺎ ﺗﮭﺎ اس ﺎ ﺗﻘﺎﺿﺎ ﺑ ﯾﮧ ﺗﮭﺎ ﮐﮧ ﺗﻢ ﻋﺬاب ﻣ ﭘﮍ‬
‫رﻮ‬
The righteous man approached the dead man and asked
him, “I know very well your origin and your end, and your
open appearance and your hidden manners. You were not
one of those whom are expected to have righteous inner
self and your deeds would bring you nothing but torment
and chastisement.
‫ﻮ؟‬ ‫ذر ﺗﻢ اس ﻣﺮﺗ ﭘﺮ ﭘﮩﻨ‬ ‫ﺟﺲ‬ ‫ﺲ وە ﮐﻮن ﺳﺎ ﻋﻤﻞ‬
How could you attain this status?”
‫اس ﮐﮩﺎ ﮐﮧ ﻣﻌﺎﻣﻠﮧ ا ﺴﺎ ﺗﮭﺎ ﺟ آپ ﻓﺮﻣﺎ ﺎ اور ﺟﺐ ﻗ ﻣ‬
‫ﺳﺨﺖ ﻋﺬاب ﻣ ر ﺎ ﻮں ﯾﮩﺎں ﺗﮏ ﮐﮧ ﻤﺎر اﺳﺘﺎد ا ف‬ ‫آ ﺎ ﻮں ﺑﮍ‬
‫ﻟ ﺎر ﺑﯿﻮی ﯾﮩﺎں دﻓﻦ ﮔ اور اس ﺳﺎﺗﮫ اس ﺟﺎ دﻓﻦ ﻃﺮف‬
‫اﺷﺎرە ﺑ ﮐ ﺎ ﺟﻮ و ﺎں ﺳﻮ ﮔﺰ ﻓﺎﺻ ﭘﺮ ﺗ ﭘﮭﺮ ﺑﺘﺎ ﺎ ﮐﮧ‬
The dead replied, “What you have just said is exactly the
truth. I had been placed in the most terrible torture since
my death up to yesterday when the wife of Ashraf, the
blacksmith, died and was buried in this place.” The dead
pointed to a definite side, which was about one hundred
arms away from his burial place. He then went on,

‫ﻒ ﻻ ﺗﻮ آپ ﺣ ﻢ ﻓﺮﻣﺎ ﺎ ﮐﮧ اس ﻗ ﺳﺘﺎن ﭘﺮ‬ ‫ﻓﺮﻣﺎ ﺟﺐ ﺗ ی دﻓﻌﮧ‬
‫ﻢ ﺳﺒ اﮨﻞ ﻗﺒﻮر ﺣﺎﻟﺖ ﺑﮩ‬ ‫ﻋﺬاب اﭨﮭﺎ د ﺎ ﺟﺎ ﭼﻨﺎﻧﭽﮧ اس وﻗﺖ‬
‫ﮐﺮ ر ﮨ‬ ‫ﻮ ﮔ اور ﻢ ﻧﻌﻤﺖ و رﺣﻤﺖ ﻣ‬
He then went on, “At the night of her burial, Abu-’Abdullah
(Imam al-Husayn) visited her three times. In the third
time, he ordered torture to be stopped from all the dead
inhabitants of this graveyard. Since then, I was turned into
bliss, luxury, comfort, and coziness.”
‫اس ﭘﺮ وە ﺻﺎﻟﺢ ﺣ ت زدە ﻮ ﮐﺮ ﺑ ﺪار ﻮ ﺟﺐ ﮐﮧ وە ﻧﮧ اس ﻟ ﺎر ﮐﻮ ﺟﺎﻧ‬
‫ﺗﮭ ﻧﮧ اس ﮔﮭﺮ ﺟﺎ وﻗ ع واﻗﻒ ﺗﮭ‬
When the righteous man woke up, he was deeply
perplexed.
‫ﻣﻞ‬ ‫ﺗﻮ اس ﻋﻮرت ﺎ ﺧﺎوﻧﺪ اﻧﮩ‬ ‫ﺎزار ﮔ اور ﺟﺴﺘﺠﻮ‬ ‫ﺲ وە ﻟ ﺎروں‬
‫ﮔ ﺎ۔‬
He therefore went to the market of the blacksmiths to ask
about the man whose wife had recently died, because he
had no familiarity with that man.
‫ﮐﮩﺎ ﮨﺎں وە ﻞ ﻓﻮت ﻮ ﮔ‬ ‫اس‬ ‫اﻧﮩﻮں ﭘﻮﭼﮭﺎ ﮐﮧ ﺗﻤﮩﺎری ﮐﻮ ﺑﯿﻮی ﺗ‬
‘ ‫اور ا ﻓﻼں ﺟﮕﮧ دﻓﻦ ﮐ ﺎ ﮔ ﺎ‬
When he found the blacksmith, he asked him, “Did you
have a wife?” The blacksmith answered, “Yes, I had. She
died recently and she was buried in such-and-such place.
‫ﮐﮩﺎ ﻧﮩ‬ ‫اس‬ ‫ان ﺑﺰرگ ﭘﻮﭼﮭﺎ ﮐﮧ آ ﺎ وە اﻣﺎم ﺣﺴ ؑ ز ﺎرت ﮐﻮ ﮔ ﺗ‬
‫ﮐ ﺎ وە ذﮐﺮ و ﻣﺼﺎﺋﺐ ﮐ ﺎ ﮐﺮ ﺗ ؟ اس ﮐﮩﺎ ﻧﮩ‬
.” The man mentioned the very place to which the dead
tither pointed in the dream of the righteous man. “Had she
ever visited the tomb of Abu-’Abdullah?” the righteous man
asked. “No, she had not,” answered her widower. “Did she
usually mention the misfortunes that the Imam (‘a) had to
encounter?” asked the righteous man. “No, she did not,”
answered her widower.
‫ﮐﮩﺎ ﻧﮩ‬ ‫اس‬ ‫در ﺎﻓﺖ ﮐ ﺎ آ ﺎ وە ﻣﺠﻠﺲ ﻋﺰا ﺑ ﺎ ﮐﺮ ﺗ‬ ‫اﻧﮩﻮں‬
“Was she usually holding consolation ceremonies for Imam
al-Husayn (‘a)?” asked the righteous man. “No, she was
not,” answered her widower,
‫ﮨ ؟‬ ‫ﺟﺴﺘﺠﻮ ﻣ‬ ‫ﺗﺐ وە ﻟ ﺎر ﮐﮩ ﻟ ﺎ ﮐﮧ آپ ﮐﺲ ﺎت‬
who added, “What for are you putting such questions?”
‫اب ﺑﺰرگ ا اﭘﻨﺎ ﺧﻮاب ﺳﻨﺎ ﺎ ﺗﻮ وە ﮐﮩ ﻟ ﺎ ﮐﮧ ﻣ ی ﺑﯿﻮی ﻤ ﺸﮧ ز ﺎرت‬
‫ﻋﺎﺷﻮرە ﭘﮍﮬﺎ ﮐﺮ ﺗ ۔‬
” Here, the righteous man narrated the whole story of his
dream. The widower then said, “Yes, she used to recite
ziyarah of ‘Ashura’ very frequently.”

‫َو َﺻ ا ُ ﻋ ُﻣ َﺤ ﱠﻤ ٍﺪ َو ِآﻟ ِﮧ ٲ ْﺟ َﻤ ِﻌ َ ۔‬
ؑ ‫ﺗﻤﺎم‬ ؐ
‫آل ﭘﺮ ﷲ رﺣﻤﺖ ﻓﺮﻣﺎ ۔‬ ‫اور ﻣﺤﻤﺪ اور اﻧ‬
and (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of
Muhammad (all of them)

‫ﻗ َﺮأة ﺳﻮرة اﻟﻔﺎﺗﺤﺔ إ اﻟﺘﻤﺎس ﺳﻮرە ﻓﺎﺗﺤﮧ ﺑﺮا‬ ‫ﻳﺮ‬ ‫ﻣﺆﺳﺴﺔ ﺗﮩﺬﯾﺐ‬
"‫"اﺑﻮ ﻇﻔﺮ ﻇﻔﺮ ﺣ ﺎ " اﺑﻦ "ﷴ ﺣ ﺎت ﺨﺶ‬
