Installing & Using Adobe Creative Cloud from Home

Select staff and students have been given access to an Adobe Creative Cloud
license due to their work assignment, course prep, or course enrollment. This
license also provides you with the ability to install and access the software from a
secondary location other than the school/work computer. These instructions will
guide you through the steps of installing Adobe Creative Cloud on a secondary
computer.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. The installation of Creative Cloud applications DOES NOT automatically give you the ability to access
those applications.
2. Users must have a license provisioned to them within the District’s Adobe Console in order to run the
Creative Cloud applications, even if those applications are already installed on the computer, as access
is dependent upon user authentication.
3. If a user’s license affiliation is removed from the console…that user will lose the ability to access the
software on all computers on which it is installed.
4. NEISD has been informed by Adobe that files within the online Creative Cloud file storage cannot be
re-linked to a user if that user’s account is removed from the console…even if it is re-linked within
the console under the same credentials. Accordingly, we highly recommend that you store your
Creative Cloud files on a personal cloud (Google / One Drive) solution or removable drive as opposed
to within the Creative Cloud file storage itself so that your work is not lost in the event that your
license is removed from the console either by intent or accident. File storage and safety is the sole
responsibility of the individual user.

One final note:

NEISD is not able to provide troubleshooting support for home installations of the Creative Cloud Suite of
applications due to a limitation of resources and the diverse nature of home computer systems, internet
routers, WiFi connections, etc. Our only recourse is to ensure that eligible students and employees for whom
a license has been purchased have been provisioned properly within the Adobe Console.
