TEMPLATE: Own Economic

System
Introduction:
- The economic system of the Beehevia country is Freevia System. In this
system we minimize the interference with the government and
maximize the role of the market. In this system we have strict rules.

Problem Statement:
- Unemployment is rampant in this country. Lack of Training is somehow
the main cause of this economic problem. There are only few citizens
who finished their studies. We are not giving much attention on the
agriculture part. We lack trainings for Technical Vocational jobs.
SOLUTION
- As the solution for this problem, we plan to build a business
wherein honey is the main component of the product. Since
honey is one of the best natural resources of the country we will
use this to resolve the unemployment.
Recommendation:
[Detail how your Economic System will be better than those currently in
existence.]

Related Literature:
- Agriculture is the science of farming and this includes growing of crops
and the rearing of animals to provide food and other farm produce.
Agriculture is a passion; it brings about sustainability, job creation and
also, entrepreneurship. In Nigeria, Agriculture contributed greatly to the
raise of human civilization, whereby farming created surplus food that
nurtured the development of civilization. As important as Agriculture is
to the economy, it has been neglected as not much attention is being

paid to it like other sectors in the country.

- Agriculture is the key to unlocking the doors of employment. In our

economy today, they pay no attention to Agriculture and they have no
idea as to how it can help solve unemployment. The Federal
Government is focusing its resources on agriculture as they now see it
as a catalyst for sociological and economical growth and a platform for
development. They have also mandated oil and gas companies to
focus on Agriculture as their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Their
contributions and input in the Agricultural sector would help in
Agricultural development in the country thereby, assisting in job
creation.

Conclusion:
- We therefore conclude that if we are going to resolve unemployment
we need to create a new job. And for a better economy we are going to
create jobs through agriculture. This will help us to solve the
unemployment problem because we really need it in a country. We
need to pay attention for agriculture. If we want to have a prosperous
nation we must learn to preserve the agriculture.

Significant Federal Employment and Labor Laws

The Fair Labor Standards Act determines the federal minimum wage and
overtime pay of one-and-one-half-times the regular rate of pay. It also regulates
child labor, limiting the number of hours that minors can work. Some U.S. states
have a higher minimum wage and different overtime and child labor legislation. In
those locations, state law would apply.
The Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) oversees employers'
pension plans and the required fiduciary, disclosure, and reporting requirements.
ERISA doesn’t apply to all private employers and doesn’t require companies to
offer plans to workers, but it does set standards for plans, should employers
choose to offer them.
The Family Medical and Family Leave Act requires employers with more than
50 employees to provide workers with up to 12 weeks of unpaid, job-protected
leave for the birth or adoption of a child, for the serious illness of the employee or
a spouse, child, or parent, or for emergencies related to a family member’s active
military service, including childcare requirements. If the active servicemember
becomes seriously ill or is injured in the course of their duties, coverage may be
extended for up to 26 weeks of unpaid leave during a 12-month period.
The Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) regulates health and safety
conditions in private-sector industries to ensure that work environments do not
pose any serious hazards. Covered employers are required to display a poster in
the workplace, outlining workers’ rights to request an OSHA inspection, how to
receive training on hazardous work environments, and how to report issues.

Employment Contracts
An employee who is covered under a collective bargaining agreement or who
has an employment contract may have rights not afforded typical at-will
employees.

What is Included in an Employment Contract

Also known as a contract of employment or employment agreement, an
employment contract lays out the rights and responsibilities of both employer and
employee. More specifically an employment contract can include:

Salary or wages: Contracts will itemize the salary, wage, or commission

that has been agreed upon.
Schedule: In some cases, an employment contract will include the days
and hours an employee is expected to work.
Duration of employment: An employment contract will specify the length
of time the employee agrees to work for the company. In some cases, this
might be an ongoing period of time. In other cases, it might be an
agreement set for a specific duration. Other times, a minimum duration is
laid out, with the possibility of extending that period.
General responsibilities: Contracts can list the various duties and tasks a
worker will be expected to fulfill while employed.
Confidentiality: Although you may have to sign a separate non-disclosure
agreement, sometimes a contract might include a statement about
confidentiality.
Communications: If an employee's role involves handling social media,
websites or email, a contract might include a point that the company
retains ownership and control over all communications.
Benefits: A contract should lay out all promised benefits, including, but not
limited to, health insurance, 401k, vacation time, and any other perks that
are part of the employment.
Future competition: Sometimes a contract will include a non-compete
agreement(also known as an NCC). This is an agreement stating that,
upon leaving the company, the employee will not enter into jobs that will
put him or her in competition with the company. Often an employee will

have to sign a separate NCC, but it also might be included in the
employment contract.

Implied Contracts
Employers are prohibited from firing an employee when an implied contract is
created between them, regardless of whether or not a legal document exists. It is
usually very difficult to prove the validity of such an agreement, and that burden
rests with the employee. Examples of implied employment contracts often are
discovered when an employer’s policy book, or new hire handbooks, indicate that
employees are not at will and can only be fired for good cause.

DA Definition of Disability
The ADA defines an individual with a disability as a person who: (1) has a
physical or mental impairment that substantially limits a major life activity, (2) has
a record or history of a substantially limiting impairment, or (3) is regarded or
perceived by an employer as having a substantially limiting impairment.
An applicant with a disability, like all other applicants, must be able to meet the
employer's requirements for the job, such as education, training, employment
experience, skills, or licenses. In addition, an applicant with a disability must be
able to perform the "essential functions" of the job the fundamental duties either
on her own or with the help of "reasonable accommodation." However, an
employer does not have to provide a reasonable accommodation that will cause
"undue hardship," which is significant difficulty or expense.
