    TO : The
    Director, Forest Management Bureau (FMB)
    All Regional Executive Directors (REDS)
    All Provincial and Community Environment and
    Natural Resources Officers (PENROs/CENROs)
    All Concerned
    Acceptance and Processing of Applications for
    SUBJECT : No
    Logging Contracts (IFMAs; SIFMAs; etc)
    Consistent with our climate change mitigation programs, you are
    hereby directed to stop accepting and processing applications for
    Integrated Forest Management Agreements (IFMAs), Socialized
    Integrated Forest Management Agreements (SIFMAs) and other
    contracts with logging component in the natural forests.
    The Undersigned will not approve/sign new logging contacts
    (IFMAs; SIFMAs; etc) in the natural forests.
    On the other hand, establishment of tree plantations and
    development of idle, denuded and degraded areas shall be
    encouraged.
    Any official who will violate this instruction shall be automatically
    relieved and charged accordingly.
