1. Drill: Opening Song:
Mathematics (to the tune “Are You Sleeping”)
Mathematics (2x) How it thrills (2x)
It is so exciting, And so interesting
I Love math (2x)
Mathematics (2x), Challenging (2x)
Numbers are ideas, Numerals are symbols
That is math (2x)

2. Review:

The teacher asks to the class.

What are the steps in solving problems?
(AGONSA/GAPESA)

B. Developmental Activities
1. Motivation/Presentation of the New Lesson
Cindy is a sporty girl. She likes to play badminton every weekend. She drinks more water. If she
drinks 3.3 liters every day and she consumed 16.5 liters of water. How many days does she drinks
the water?

The teacher will ask the following questions?

 What kind of girl is Cindy?
 Do you also drink more water every day?
 Does drinking more water helpful to our body? Why?
2. Activity Proper
a. Group the class into four (4) groups. Each group has an envelope containing the materials.
b. The pupils give the standards in doing group activity.
c. The teacher presents the rubrics to the class.
d. Activity Proper (Refer to attached activity sheets)
e. Teacher supervises the activity.

C. Post Activities
1. Analysis
 Have each group report their work to the class.
 Answer the possible questions from the activity conducted.
 Then teacher process the output of the learners.

2. Reinforcing Skills “Think-Pair-Share”

Analyze and solve.
My friend is a businesswoman. One of her business is making and selling table runner. A
restaurant owner orders from her table runners 1.75 m long each. She has only 26.25 m of cloth.
How many table runners can be made from it?

3. Abstraction
How do you analyze and solve routine problem involving mixed decimals by mixed decimals?

4. Application
(Teacher calls a pupil to pick one problem and let her read and solve the problem)
Analyze and solve. “Pick Me”
1. Mang Tony has 7.5 hectares of land. He wants to divide it into 1.5 hectares each for
his sons. How many sons does Mang Tony have?

2 Cindy has 3.75 kilograms of hamburger. She is making hamburgers with 0.25 kilograms
of hamburger each. How many hamburgers can she make?
3. Linda made 8.25 litres of lemonade. She wants to put them in jars that hold 0.25 liters
each. How many jars does she need?
IV. Evaluation
Direction: Read the word problem. Analyze then solve.

Aling Tessa has Php 38.50 left in his purse. She has to buy ribbons for the gift. Each meter of a
ribbon cost Php 5.50. How many meters of ribbon can she buy?

V. Assignment
Analyze and solve the problem.
Rico wants to buy a battery-operated toy car which cost Php 587.50. He already saved Php 150.00
and his Ninong gave him Php 200.00. If he saves Php 12.50 a day from his allowance, how long will it him to
