Presenter
This week we’re visiting the largest country in the world. That’s right, Russia! The capital of
Russia is, of course, Moscow. Its population is about nine million and it’s got the most crowded
underground in the world. Three billion people use it every year. The longest railway is in
Russia. It travels from Moscow all the way to Vladivostok.
That’s 9,310km! Another Russian city is beautiful St. Petersburg. Some people call it the ‘Venice
of the North’. Russia’s highest mountain is Mount Elbrus in the south west, but that’s not the
coldest place in the world. Some of the coldest places are in Siberia in the north east of the
country. Russia is truly an amazing country.

Flora: But everyone says it’s the best film this summer.
Conrad: Who said that?
Flora: I read good things about it in ‘Film’ magazine. Listen to this: “It’s probably the best of
its kind. Very exciting. This is what our lives will be like in the future.”
Conrad: That’s the problem, Flora, I don’t like films about the future.
2.
Susan: So, doctor, am I going to be OK?
Doctor: Don’t worry, Susan. Just be a bit careful. You mustn’t eat any junk food for the next
few weeks.
Susan: So, I can’t have vegetarian pizza?

vegetables to be healthy again.

Jen: Why not? I’ll do it.
