Introduction

We are currently experiencing a process of biodiversity crisis that involves the loss of species on a
large scale, due to the demographic growth of the human species and the overexploitation of
natural resources. In the global context, Latin America is characterized by an enormous wealth of
ecosystems and species, both flora and fauna. our research approach to the problem of the
loss of biodiversity in Colombia, establishing environmental conditions that make our
fauan this danger or rather in crisis
overall objective

identify the expectations of animals that are in danger of extinction

in Colombia

specific objectives
know the environmental problems that favor certain animals are in
danger of extinction
know which animals are in danger of extinction
Biologists have been described in nature, the extinction levels of
animal species. Some causes that have been extinguished, have
undoubtedly been a cause of human activities, where the
destruction of the habitat and the excess of hunting have been the
factors that have intervened most for the extinction of the species.

The first level occurs under a local extinction that occurs when a
species is not found again in the area where it previously lived, but
it is still found in the rest of the world.
The next level is the ecological extinction which occurs when the
number of individuals of a species is very small, and its intra-
population genetic material is almost identical, which increases the
genetic failures of the offspring limiting the performance of
functions in the biological community in which it is found.

Finally, there is the level of biological extinction. This is the limit,

and it occurs when a species is never found anywhere else on
earth.

The species that are on track to biological extinction are classified

as species that are in danger of extinction, we do not agree to
forget that when a species reaches the level of biological extinction
there will be no hope or return, this being the last irreversible level
of the extinction.
Causes of the extinction of animal species:
The main causes that explain the decrease and premature
extinction of animal life give rise to other causes that are directly
influencing ecological imbalances and the disappearance of wild
flora and fauna.
The most common causes are the growth of the human
population, which, as they increase in number, increase the
needs for food production, the demand for cultivation and
growing areas, as well as higher energy demands.
In addition to this we have the irresponsibility of the
environment as air pollution, soil and water by herbicides,
pesticides, which generates an accumulation of toxic substances
in the body.
Increased demand for food per capita and poverty, bringing
devastating consequences such as loss and degradation of
habitat, pollution, climate changes (greenhouse effect) causing
the variation of weather conditions that results in disturbances
in reproduction cycles.
