CHARLOTTE'S WEB

This week we began reading one of my favorite books,

Charlotte's Web by E.B. White! We read chapters 1-4 and
took a comprehension quiz over them! The students are
enjoying the story and are excited to see what happens
next! For homework this weekend, please have your child
read chapter 5 of the book! It may help for you to let
them read it to you and let them discuss it with you!

This week and for the next few weeks our spelling and
vocabulary words will come from Charlotte's Web! Here
is the list of words to start studying with your child for
next week!

Gnawing- to bite or chew something repeatedly

Objectionable- causing people to be offended
Wits-the ability to think or reason
Scheming- making plans to do something in secret
Hoisted- to have raised something high up in the air
Gratified- made happy
Hysterics- an extreme emotion
Unremitting- not stopping
Queerly- oddly
