Topic: Vocabulary from Sojourner Truth: Ain’t I A Woman?

Context: Black History Month

Students were presented with these vocabulary words while the class read through the novel. A
classroom word wall was created with these words. The class had various discussions related to the
meanings and use of context clues to discover meanings.
