Introduction:
C.260 Pine Tar consists of a mixture of neutral and acidic complex isoprenic hydrocarbon derived from pine
trees.
Acts as a plasticiser, softener and tackifier in rubbers, and is the preferred plasticiser for natural rubber.
Use enables a reduction or omission of stearic acid in the compound, and it activates thiazole cures.
Has excellent softening powers
Gives good dispersion of fine particle carbon blacks
Imparts good green tack
The pine odour is not too strong
Uses:
Used as a processing aid in rubber compounding.
