to why i didn't update before was, the fatal frame
2 file that was on my memory card was gone, and i
had to start a new game. Sorry guys, but now i'm

3.STORYLINE

There is a village said to have once stood in a forest, deep in the
mountains.
This forest will soon be lost due to the creation of a dam. The story
goes
that on the eve of a special ritual, this village suddenly vanished
and its
population disappeared. This ritual went horribly wrong, leaving the
forest
wreathed in a thick fog. Many also say that if you should happen to
get lost
in this forest, you will be spirited away to the village. The village
where
the Crimson Butterflies dance; the village held forever in the grip
of a
never-ending night

NOTE: This game is a prequel to Fatal Frame not a sequel to it. It


suppose to
show about the history of the camera and how the ritual came about.
So you
don't have to know Fatal Frame 1 to play this game, like me.

Amakaru Twins
==========
Mio Amakura: The younger of the twins who possesses a slight psychic
ability.
Has a bright and outgoing personality. Her desire to always protect
Mayu comes
from the responsibility she feels for an accident that injured her
twin while
they were children. By taking Mayu's hand, she can sometimes see the
incredible images that her sister does. but overall she is not as
sensitive
to the para-normal as Mayu

Mayu Amakura: Gentle, withdraw and thoughtful with a stronger psychic


ability.
Physically quiet weak, and relies heavily on her sister Mio. Fell
from a
mountain path while playing with Mio as a child, leaving her legs
weak.
Although she is very sensitive to the paranormal, she has little
resistance
to it, and is often used by ghosts as a medium.

6.GAME OVERVIEW

Mio and Mayu now find themselves trapped in the lost village while
the
day of a new ceremony is fast approaching. Evil spirits roam the
village,
hoping to finalize and correct the last ritual that went so horrible
wrong.

GAME BASICS
==========
The aim of the game is to take control of Mio, and along with her
sister
Mayu, survive the Crimson Sacrifice Ritual and escape from the
vanished
All God's village.

Using only the Camera Obscura as your weapon against evil, you most
solve
the mystery of this lost village. Travel the village searching for
clues that
will help you escape.

FIGHTING GHOSTS
==========
Some types of ghost will attack you, and some types will not. The
camera
filamant will react by turning red if a violent ghost draws near. You
must
then use the camera to vanquish the ghost.

First, locate the ghosts and watch its movements closely, looking for
the
moment when the Ghost Wave Gauge is at its highest. Take it's picture
and
you should be able to damage it.

Messages from Ghosts
==========
Many of the actions taken by the ghosts who wander the village
contain some
kind of meaning. Investigate the house or roads to which they lead.
What is
more, the words that they speak or the files lying around contain
many useful
messages. If you lend your ears to these messages, you may well
gather more
clues on the best way to proceed.

7.FAQ/WALKTHROUGH
==================================================

NOTE: This Walkthrough has a lot of spoilers, so if you don't want


the game
to be ruined for you, then this faq is not for you. Later on i'll
probably
make a spoiler free walkthrough. Also, whenever you see 2nd then that
means
there is a ghost here, if you're playing the second time.
Thanks again and enjoy. 1 more thing, it's good to have the
subtitle's on
because throughout the game, ghosts or mayu or even mio herself talk
and you
won't be able to hear what they're saying. It's a good way to learn
the plot
of this game.

Prologue
==========
Like most villages in thier time:

All God's village was one wrapped in superstition and ancient


folklore.
Constantly threatened by rumblings beneath the village, they felt it
necessary to appease the spirits by conducting a special ceremony.

The village priests and townspeople conducted the Ritual of the


Crimson
sacrifice, a ceremony so heinous and unspeakable...yet necessary,
they
believed, to continue thier peaceful existence and word of evil.

Twin sisters were forced ro perform the Crimson Sacrifice...a cruel


and
inhuman sacrifice where one sister kills the other.

WALKTHROUGH
==========
The game starts with a cool cutscene.
Mio and Mayu have ventured into the forest one last time before it is
lost
to the dam. As they remember the old times, a Crimson Butterfly
flutter
nearby. Mayu, feeling drawn to it decides to follow it deeper into
the forest,
as if being led away. Mio has no choice but to follow after her
sister,
FOREST:
You take control of Mio. (This is a chance for you to learn the
controls of
FF if you've never played it before) Continue going up the forest
path until
another cutscene starts.

|CHAPTER ONE: THE LOST VILLAGE|
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Start walking north down the hill after the cutscene. In the middle
of the
path there is a blue shining dot.
(These are the information that ghosts have left or
clues that you need to solve that particular part.)
Anyways, you find a black bag, news clipping, another news
clipping and a couple's photo. Look to the left of where you found
the blue
dot. There is a statue. Continue down the path until another cutscene
shows.

OSAKA HOUSE:

1F ENTRANCE
==========
Immediately after opening the door to the Osaka house, you see a
spirit
walking behind the bars,at this point of the game you can't do
anything to
the spirit so just head out to the door opposite of the one you just
came.

When you enter and take a couple of steps, on the right side WAITING
WOMAN
appears, take her picture right away, because she leaves after 2
seconds
to 3 seconds.

1F SUNKEN FIREPLACE ROOM
==========
When you get inside the room, another cutscene shows. I won't spoil
it because
it's a very cool cutscene.
Get the WOMAN'S NOTEBOOK 1 found beside the fireplace. Walk left of
where you
got the notebook and there's a room, enter it.

==========
KIMONO ROOM
==========
Get the WOMAN'S NOTEBOOK 2 on top of the desk. Enter the backroom,
after you
enter Mayu comments that they are being watched by someone. Get the
SACRED
WATER from the box that is hidden in the right corner, it's really
dark so
just press X. Go back to where you got notebook 2 and save if you
want to.
Head back to the sunken fireplace room.

1F SUNKEN FIRPLACE ROOM
==========
Walk down the path across the entrance.

Enter the BIG TATAMI ROOM

1F BIG TATAMI ROOM

Soon as you enter your filmament begins to glow. Draw your camera and
look to
the left you'll see ATRIUM WOMAN walking by outside. She's quick as
well, so
take her picture only when the target cirlce is glowing. Head back
out to the
sunken fireplace room.

1F DIRT FLOOR HALLWAY
==========
Keep going down the hallway path, the screen suddenly goes black and
white
and you see another spirit walking. Again you can't do anything to it
so
just follow it to 1F BACK ROOM.

Aim your camera quickly before she walks away. She is called WALKS
INSIDE.

1F BACK ROOM
==========
Theres a brazier in the middle of the room. Get the WOMAN'S NOTEBOOK
3
beside the brazier. Head back out to the hallway.

1F DIRT FLOOR HALLWAY
==========
Head back to the place by the stairs where the hallway is split. You
see
the same spirit that was walking to the 1F back room vanish at the
altar.
Go through the door that the spirit vanished.

Geez, this girl is everywhere, again aim your camera quickly before
she
disappears.
BTW, this girl is called Miyako Sudo, she is here throughout this
house.
VANISHES AT ALTAR.

1F FAMILY ALTAR ROOM
==========
Get the CAMERA OBSECURA, CAMERA OBSECURA POINTERS, CAMERA FILM, BASIC
CAMERA
OPERATION and FLASHLIGHT, on top of the table. Another cutscene shows
after
the info about the camera. After the cutscene, the controller starts
shaking
violently and Mio's heart is beating rapidly. This is the time to
take
pictures and learn the basic controls of the camera. After being
familiar
with camera controls, take the picture of the DOOR WOMAN.
(HINT: After taking a picture go to options menu and go to photos for
more
in-depth information about that picture)
Before you leave the room check behind the shelf for WOMAN'S NOTEBOOK
5 and
behind the folding screen on the other room for a HERBAL MEDICINE.
Head back to the Sunken Fireplace room.

1F SUNKEN FIREPLACE ROOM
==========
Head back to the entrance of the room and open the door. Another
cutscene
appears. After the cutscene, catch the spirit VANISHES AT DOOR before
it
vanishes through the door. You'll notice that their still is a spirit
around because the filament is still glowing. Move your camera
towards
the door to Big Tatami room and take a picture when the cursor of the
camera is green. The photo you took shows you a picture of a brazier.
Head to the back room.

1F BACK ROOM
==========
Take the photo of the brazier and you'll get SLASHED MAN PHOTO and
then
capture the spirit of the MAN ON DECK. Head back to the Sunken
fireplace
room.

==========
1F SUNKEN FIREPLACE ROOM
==========
Now that you've unlocked the puzzle of the door, go inside the door
to
the Big tatami room.

==========
1F BIG TATAMI ROOM
==========
Get the WOMAN'S NOTEBOOK 4 that's hidden underneath the bed.
Leave, but when you try to leave the room, a scene shows you the
placement of the ginger key. When you grab the key, you see a spirit,
WOMEN BEHIND NET. Take her picture as usual before she disappears.
Head
back out.

1F SUNKEN FIREPLACE ROOM
==========
When you enter the room, the spirit goes up the stairs, before you
move, aim
your camera up the stairs to get the picture of STAIR CLIMBER. Now go
up
the stairs.

==========
2F SUNKEN FIREPLACE ROOM
==========
Before you unlock the door to the guest room, capture the spirit of
the
STANDING WOMAN. BE QUICK IT VANISHES RIGHT AWAY.

==========
2F SERVANT ROOM
==========
Turn right and get the HERBAL MEDICINE from the shelf and search by
the folding
screen to find a TYPE-61 FILM. Go to left to the guest toom and and
BECKONER
appears, just aim and shoot. Get the WOMAN'S NOTEBOOK 6 on the table
and go
to the next room. WOMAN's NOTEBOOK 7 lying on the floor. Go to the
next room,
and STANDS BEHIND appears behind you, just turn around and shoot, it
doesn't
matter if Mayu is in the way. After,get FOLKLORIST 1 that's hidden in
the
bookshelve and the last of the WOMAN'S NOTEBOOK on the floor and then
get
ready for a boss fight.

|BOSS FIGHT: WANDERER|
++++++++++++++++++++++
STRATEGY: When your filmament is red, that's where the spirit is, so
take
the picture quick.
The quickest way to beat her is:
let her get close to MAYU and when she's strangling her, get close to
her
and take the picture. Try to get FATAL FRAME, or ZERO shots.
Simple ain't it.

|CHAPTER TWO: TWIN SHRINE MAIDENS|

After the boss fight you see a cutscene, after the cutscene you're
back
in the same room. Get the AGONITE and CAMERA UPGRADE, SPRIT STONE
RADIO
and the SPIRIT STONE RADIO POINTERS. Leave.

2F/1F SUNKEN FIREPLACE ROOM
==========
Another cutscene shows Mayu leaving the room. Now you control MAYU.
All you
have to do is follow the butterflies.
When you're back in control of Mio, go down the stairs towards the
blue dot
and you get SLOW POWER UP LENS, 'MEASURE' EQUIPED FUNCTION and the
TYPE-14 FILM X 30. Head to Kimono Room.

1F KIMONO ROOM
==========
Save if you want to. Get the HERBAL MEDICINE lying on the floor. Kill
WOMAN
IN BOX. After she's dead, get the MOONSTONE and SPIRIT ORB. Leave.

1F SUNKEN FIREPLACE ROOM
==========
Enemies come, 2 to be exact. Kill them and leave the place. OR if you
wish
to have more items then follow my direction.

|OPTIONAL|

1F TATAMI ROOM
==========
Go behind the net on the other side and press X. Mio will comment on
the bed
sheet saying that there's a lump. Now go behind the net and take the
picture
of the lump. You get FROZEN WOMAN.

1F BACK ROOM
==========
Go behind the coal brazier to outside and you see a blue dot. You get
VILLAGE REPORT 1, VILLAGE REPORT 2, VILLAGE REPORT 3, VILLAGE REPORT
4.
Also, there's a spirit WOMAN ON DECK, but you can't sense it on your
camera filmament. Just go to the corner of the room and take the
picture
of outside. You'll see what i mean.
Now let's get out of this dreadful place. ^-^

1F ENTRANCE
==========
Get MAYU'S CHARM and leave towards the front door.

==========
ALL GOD'S VILLAGE
==========
Go the same path that you took Mio. Keep going to the path that you
took
MIO, and you should see a door. (It's on top of the stairs) Enter it.

==========
KIRYU HOUSE
==========
When you get in, get the HERBAL MEDICINE lying on the floor. Go up
the stairs.

==========
2F SLIDING SCREEN ROOM
==========
Get the CAMERA EQUIPMENT and FILM. Also, go in the small room, and
you can
find FOLKLORIST 2 when you search the bookshelve. Go back down.

==========
1F PROJECTOR ROOM
==========
Watch the film and get the FILM REEL from the projector. Leave and go
back
up the stairs. Go left. Enter.

==========
2F CONNECTING CORRIDOR
==========
Get CHRYSOBERYL in the middle of the path. Well you're done with this
house.
Exit from the front door.

==========
ALL GOD'S VILLAGE
==========
Continue walking down the path Mayu was going.
Another cutscene interupts. After the cutscene take the picture of
the door.
You get GATE BUTTERFLY. Kill the TORCH MEN.
Get the HERBAL MEDICINE on the lantern left of the gate. It's hidden
so search for it. Go back the way you came from. Also, on the right
side of
the lanterner, by the big tree, there's a hidden HERBAL MEDICINE,
look through
your viewfinder to help you get it. Then follow the butterflies.

Another cutscene shows. Take the picture of the twin deity statue and
get
the STATUE BUTTERFLY. You might also might want to take the picture
of the
boy. You get TRAPPED BOY. Leave and now it's time for us to explore
the village.
Head for MISONO HILL

When you just enter Misono Hill past the Osaku House,look to the left
and
you'll see the twin deity statue. Press X and you get TYPE-14 FILM.
Continue
walking down the path and you'll see another Twin Deity Statue, but
this time
with the Crimson Butterflies on top. Get TWIN STATUE KEY LEFT. 3
TORCH MEN
will attack you. After, look behind the save point for a SPIRIT ORB.
Also if
you've gotten the four village notes earlier, go to the SHINTO GATE,
and get
VILLAGE REPORT 4. Walk away from the statue, and you'll see another
spirit.
Take the picture and you get GATE CHECKER. Go behind the path that
you
found the Left Key, and you'll be in the cemetery. Watch out for
TORCH MEN,
they'll attack you.

Continue walking down the path of the cemetry. Turn left on the fork
and
keep going straight, till you see another Twin Deity Statue. You'll
notice
after examining it, that it has no key. But all our efforts have not
been
in vain yet. Go to the blue shining dot and get GLOWING BLUE CRYSTAL.
Now turn left and get SPIRIT ORB. Now we can leave. Save if you want
to on Misono Hill. Now go all the back up to Tsuchihara, Front.

On your way to the house you'll see another cutscene. Just keep going
to
the hose and get the GLOWING PURPLE CRYSTAL and SPIRIT ORB in front
of the well. Be prepared for the Torch Men. Head to Kiryu House.

KIRYU-HOUSE BACK

There's save point here, save if you want. Keep going straight and
search
the twin deity statue in front of you and GET TYPE-14 FILM. Go where
the
butterflies are and get TWIN STATUE KEY RIGHT. You'll be greeted by
3 MAN IN DARK. Destroy them or run away. Now that you got both keys
you can either go to the gate and rescue your sister or you can find
some
more goodies. I suggest you go after the goodies. Here they are:

Assuming that you choose the optional path. Go to Fork in Road. It's

that little path behind the Kiryu House

Just keep going on the path, and you'll be interupred by another

VILLAGE REPORT 1. After, when you walk away, get the spirit of STATUE

the hallway. You'll see 2 doors. One on your left and one on your

right one is locked, so you'll have to go with the left one.

Behind the curtain is a spirit. Don't get too close to him because he
will
disappear. You get the spirit of TERRIFIED MAN. (NOTE: Your filmament
doesn't
glow when you are near him.) On the other corner, there are some
camera
equipement. You get THE "INSTANT FUCNTION" and TYPE-14 FILM. Get out
from
the other door.

You're in control of Maya in this passageway. Just keep on going
straight and
ignore anything that you see. Enter the door on your right.

Follow the path that Mayu took. On your path you will have to fight

Get the shining dot that's in the middle of the room. You get
FLUORITE.
And behind you is the SACRED WATER. Go forward a bit and guess what
another cutscene.
All right i have to admit, this cutscene gave me the creeps, it's
very cool and scary at the same time. Anyways, after the cutscene
a ghost starts chasing you, but you can't kill it, IT'S UNSTOPPABLE.
Look at your map and on top right there's an exit, head for THAT
door. Nothing else will save you. One hit from the ghost will
kill you as well. Good Luck. There's also a TYPE-90 FILM that's on
your left right before the exit door.

Anyways, it's raining now, On the left path there's a STONE MIRROR,
take it.
Go on the right path now. When you are by the staircase, you will see
Mayu
on the other floor following the butterflies. Follow her. When you're
on the
top of the stairs, don't enter the door, on your right there's a save
point.
SAVE. Enter the door.

Go straight and turn right. Enter the door here.

Check the drawer that is right beside the door, (the first one)for a
TYPE-61 FILM. Now head for the bookshelf across the door and you get
FOLKLORIST 3. Head for the other door that is behind the curtain from
the door that you came from.

Take the picture of the door behind the curtain. You get a different
photo. It's call BLOODY WALL. Look in the drawer and you get HERBAL
MEDICINE. Now comes the bad part. What you have to do is go back,
yes you heard me, go back. Go back all the way to 1F DIRTFLOOR
PASSAGEWAY. This also means that you have to run away from the
Invincible Spirit. There is nothing else more to get for now
so i'll see you at the first floor dirt passage.

Look for the spirit of FLEEING VILLAGER. It should be around the
passageway. But don't let it get away, because it'll be gone
forever. After the first turn you will see DRAGGER dragging
someone, follow to where he goes.

The door opens by itself so just get in. When you get in the room
you will get some camera equipment. You will get the BLAST POWER
UP LENS. On the drawer there is a HERBAL MEDICINE. Take the photo
of the door that opens and closes by itself. Now you would have
to fight LIMBO MAN and LIMBO WOMAN. Strategy is at the bottom.
After you beat them you will get the DIAMOND STACK KEYS. Get
out of the room.

When you come out the bloodstained room you will get FAINTLY GLOWING

In here the woman on the floor that was dead before comes to life.
She
is called WOMAN IN BOX. Defeat her to get TWIN DOLL HEADS. Go back to

Now we have to solve a puzzle. *SIGHS* I'll try to explain this as

as i can. To solve this puzzle, you have to put the orange dolls,
that
are in the bottom left, all the way to the top. If as a kid you've

you
only have a minute to solve this puzzle though.

of him FAST. Leave out the door.

out the
stairs CALLING MAN appears. He as well goes right away, so be quick
and take
a picture of him right away.

There is a hidden spirit here. GARDEN WOMAN is well hidden behind the
um...
gardens???. Anyways just use your filmament and your camera's target
to
get her picture. Don't worry she won't leave. After you get her.

leave out the door. Keep going to the end and you will get the EVADE
ADDITIONAL FUNCTION, with TYPE-14 FILM x 30. Now leave out the door.

Another cutscene appears. Very creepy. Anyways at least the
invincible
spirit is gone :D, we don't have to worry about him. After the
cutscene
go to the store room.

If you didn't get the village reports which were optional then just
leave.
For those who took the time to get them, you will find the spirit of
EXHAUSTED MAN and the BLOODY RING

When you're walking down the hallway. LIMBO MAN appears, he's not a
spirit
but a ghost that you have to kill. The way he comes gave me the
creeps.
Anyways this battle is very easy comparing it to the one at the
bloody
room where we had to fight TWO. Anyways, equip your 90 film for this
battle.
You can use the weakest film but this way you can kill him faster.
Keep
going for the fatal frame shots or zero or the core shots and he will
be
nothing but belonging back in the graveyard. After defeating you will
get SPIRIT ORB. Go to the entrance of the KUROSAWA house.

Walk slowly here, because behind the curtains you will see legs.
(CURTAIN SHADOW) Your filmament will not detect him, but you can
see his legs clearly. After capturing him go search the entrance
and you will notice that it's locked. We still can't get out
of this house :(. Anyways when you try to head back, BEHIND CLOTH
appears behind the curtains. Now go back and use the butterfly key
to unlock the door that was locked.

Search the clock for a SACRED WATER. There's also a HERBAL MEDICINE
hidden by the drawers. Go close to the half opened door. CHILD AT
DOOR appears, take a picture of him. Don't go into the hallway yet.
We still got unfinished business here. Go up the stairs.

Search the drawer that's right in front of you at the top of the
stairs.
You get CEREMONY MASTER'S NOTE 3. There's also a hidden TYPE-14 FILM
x 15.
It's on the left side hidden by the partitions. Keep going ahead
ignoring
the blue dot and PEEKING CHILD appears right by the blue dot. Take a
picture.
You will notice that you can't get the blue dot so go back down the
stairs.

When you're walking down the stairs, a CRIMSON BALL will be dropped

the hallway, FADING CHILD appears. He's quick, took me a long time to
capture him. Keep walking down the path and CUT-IN CHILD appears.

one is even more pain to capture. You have to get your camera ready
before
hand to get him otherwise you will not be able to take his picture.
At the end of the hallway there's a door. Enter it.

When you enter, WAREHOUSE CHECKER appears and takes you to the CELL.
Be
sure to take the picture of him.

CAPTIVE MAN is here when you enter, take a picture of him as well.

is a FOLKLORIST 8 on the table. Head out.

Go in the passageway. Keep heading straight and Mayu will get caught
by
a spirit. CLINGING SHADOW is holding her real tight. Go take a
picture
of him to get Mayu free. Now go all the way at the end of the hallway
and enter the door.

KUROSAWA B1 UNDERGROUND CELLAR

A ghost is lurking by the save point. UH... I forgot his name but you
have to fight him. He's hard to beat. His attacks are vanishing
behind
the wall and hitting you with skulls.
The strategy for this guy is the same as beating LIMBO MAN. Equip
your
Type-90 Film and go after Fatal Frame shots, and he'll be history.
After you beat him you'll get a SPIRIT ORB. At least we got
something.
Go up the stairs. Before you leap for joy that you found a way, i
must
tell you that this door as well is locked *SIGHS*. You need a Hammer
Key.
Head out from the door you came. Go all the way to cloth hallway

RITUAL PUSHER appears midway and goes through the double doors.
Follow
him.

Up ahead you'll see a blue shining dot, you get CEREMONY MASTER'S

The priest attacks you here. Same strategy with this guy. After you
beat
there are some more goodies in this room. There is a HERBAL MEDICINE
on
the right side of the room and CEREMONY MASTER'S NOTE 4 on the left
side.

There are 3 stairs in this room. Take the right stairs that is
leading
to the 2F.

Get the SEE POWER UP LENS and TYPE-14 FILM x30 also some CAMERA EQT.
On
the table there's a BUTTERFLY DIARY 3. Notice that there's a switch

the floor, step on it and Mayu will come and hold the switch for you.
The small door on the left side of the room is now locked. Get in
there.

BUTTERFLY DIARY 2 is right in front of you, go a little furthur and


SPEAKING MAN will start talking. You have to wait until he's done his
talking. You'll hear something fall on the other side after he
finishes
talking. Go back to the 1F Altar Room

I finally found the guy's name. He's called VEILED PRIEST. Same

as before. This room is quite small so he maybe a little bit tougher.
After you beat him you'll get a SPIRIT ORB. I suggest upgrading your
camera now. There's also a CEREMONY MASTER'S NOTE 2 on the other side
of the room. The altar thing that's in the middle of the room has 5
valuble items. Search all 5 except the Buddha Statue to get. CRIMSON
WING TOME, TABOO TOME, DISASTER TOME, TWIN TOME, and RITUAL TOME. Now
that you've gotten all books. Go to the statue and you have to put
the books in order.

|CHAPTER FIVE: THE SACRIFICE |

When you start the chapter, a cutscene starts, after the cutscene,
you'll be
told to go to the OSAKA HOUSE. But before you even leave the room,
take the
picture of Mayu and you'll get CONFINED MAYU. There are still some
places left
to check here.

KUROSAWA 1F FAMILY ALTAR ROOM
==========
Well this place is not a goodie but a badie, because you have to
fight. But
the good thing for this place is that you get points and you can
upgrade your
camera. Also, don't try to leave, you can't. Don't flame for this
please.
They're called BOY PLAYING TAG and GIRL PLAYING TAG. There are 2 boys
and 1
girl. Upgrade your camera now. Go to the Storeroom, that's in the
GREAT HALL.

KUROSAWA 1F STOREROOM
==========
Don't worry the INVINCIBLE SPIRIT that was haunting you before is
gone.
When you enter the storeroom MASAMI MAKIMURA appears,in order to get
her you
have to beat the game at least once to get this.
Now we can continue on with the story.

KUROSAWA BF UNDERGROUND CELLAR
==========
Ok, i won't spoil it for you. After, you defeat her, you'll get a
SPIRIT ORB
and then SAVE. Go up the stairs and leave this dreadful place.

KUROSAWA 1F GROUNDS
==========
Now this is weird. How come the flashlight didn't work in the house.
Another
mystery to be solved...nah just kidding. Get out of here fast,
because LIMBO
MAN and LIMBO WOMAN come after you.

WHISPER BRIDGE
==========
Ignore the FLOATING WOMAN, and just go out the door. If you want to
fight
her same strategy as before.

KIRYU-TACHIBANA
==========
When you are walking up the stairs, you will see CORRIDOR WOMAN
walking on
the bridge. Don't take the picture of it right away. Go all the way
to end
of the path and then take the picture. There's nothing that will
detect it,
no heartbeat either. It took me couple of tries to get her. Continue
along
the path.

OSAKA TACHIBANA
==========
Along the path, LURED WOMAN appears. Take the picture of her.

OSAKA HOUSE, FRONT
==========
STOREHOUSE BOUND appears and takes you to your destination. Make sure
you
take a picture of her.

TSUCHIHARA, FRONT
==========
WEEPING WOMAN appears right in the corner, by the door to the
storehouse,
take the picture of her as well. She will also drop the BUTTERFLY
DIARY 4
and a FLOURITE. Save if you want to. Enter the door to the
storehouse.

STOREHOUSE, BACK
==========
Talk to ITSUKI. He will tell you that the key is in OSAKA HOUSE, and
gives
a clue to our next puzzle. Go back to Osaka Tachibana.

OSAKA-TACHIBANA
==========
On the right side in the middle of the path, CRYING GIRL appears in
the
little house. Take the picture of her.

KIRYU HOUSE, BACK
==========
MAN IN SHADOWS is hidden here. Your filmament will detect it, so keep
looking until you find it. Before you go to the Osaka house, head for
the cemetery.

ALL GOD'S CEMETERY
==========
GRAVE GIRL is wandering around the cemetery, no filmament detects her
as well. Search for her and you will get her. On the path back, 2
Seeker
appears, this is no ghost, so either you can fight them or run. If
you
need points then just go ahead, but my suggestion is just run. Now we
can head to the Osaka House

OSAKA HOUSE:

You should be familiar with this place.
Nothing to do here, so just head out to the door opposite of the one
you came in.

1F SUNKEN FIREPLACE ROOM
==========
Now you have 2 options here. The first option is to get all the extra
spirits hanging around and the second option is to just go and get
the
key and save your sister. If you want to just go ahead, then scroll
down until all the optional stuff finishes.

WOMAN IN BOX is hanging around in this room. This is a hidden ghost
so
in order to get her, you have to complete the game at least once.
Also,
i suggest that you save before you head out.

Head for the big Tatami Room

==========
1F BIG TATAMI ROOM
==========
When you try to leave the room. STARING WOMAN appears. It's so easy
to
get her because she won't leave until you take a picture of her. Head
out after you've taken the picture.

1F SUNKEN FIREPLACE ROOM
==========
Head for the hallway. When you approach the hallway, another hidden
spirit
appears. It's called PULLED SHADOW. NOTE: In order to get the spirit,
you
have to beat the game at least once.

1F DIRT-FLOOR HALLWAY
==========
Go up the stairs and head inside the servants room.

==========
2F SERVANT ROOM
==========
Search the folding screen for a TYPE-61 FILM. Head for the guest
room.

==========
2F GUEST ROOM
==========
When you enter here, PEEKING KID appears, you have to stand right in
front
of his face to capture, be quick because he vanishes right away. On
the other
side of the guest room is a SPIRIT ORB. Take it and go downstairs to
the
back room.

1F BACK ROOM
==========
If you took the BLOODY RING in the storeroom of chapter 4 then a
cutscene
should start. After the cutscene you will get BLOODY MEMO AND SARD.
There
is also THE ALARM FUNCTION that you can find here. Get ready for a
battle
beacuse this one is hard. UNREST IN PIECE and WANDERER attack you
simultaneously.
Here's the strategy to beat them.

Kill her first. Equip the stun and the slow power up lens. Also,
equip
the FILM TYPE-90, because it's strong and should kill her quick. Her
attacks are grabbing you and teleporting. When she's running towards
you, avoid her and her head will go down, which is the chance for a
fatal
frame. 3 Fatal Frames should kill her.

He is the harder of the 2. Same strategy as WANDERER but his attack

more damage. He has the same attacks as WANDERER. Avoid his attack

he will raise his hand, that is the best chance for a fatal frame. 3
to
4 Fatal Frames should kill him.

NOTE:Don't hesitate to use your Herbal Medicines because YOU NEED IT.

After you defeat them, MIYAKO SUDO appears, this is also a hidden
spirit,
so you have to at least finish the game once. Head for the altar
room.

NOTE: Now we are continuing with the game. If you haven't talked to
ITSUKI as
noted earlier there you won't be able to finish this chapter, so go
back and
do it now if you haven't.

In the other side of the room, TYPE-ZERO FILM is in plain view, get
it. Now
go back to the other side and search the altar.

HMM?? Ever wonder why these puzzles are so easy to solve.
What you have to do here is to get the middle crest the same color as
the
crest that leaves are pointing at. If it seems confusing, then the
solution
is right below the diagram.

NOTE: C=Crest

You can't move the middle crest, so you have to move the crest that
is on
the outside. Also, you have to get the colors matched in 4 turn
otherwise
it will stop moving.
SOLUTION:
Move C1 first then move C4 three times and that should finish the
puzzle.

A wall on the right side of the altar has been unlocked, go inside
and down

the stairs.

BELOW OSAKA A PASSAGEWAY

Nice looking cave isn't it. Anyways when the camera changes SEARCHING
BELOW appears. It's better if you are already in viewfinder mode, so
when the spirit passes you you'll be able to snap it right away. On
the left side there is STONE MIRROR, if you already have it, then you
won't be able to get it. You're only allowed 1 Stone Mirror per game
i
think. Search to the right of the Stone Mirror on the boxes and
you'll
be able to get a TYPE-14 FILM. Search the left side of the Stone
Mirror
on the doll statues and you'll get PREHNITE, take it. Go to the
opposide
side and you'll see another blue shining dot. You get FILM REEL 7.
Open
the box and a cutscene appears. Another battle starts.

Compared to the battle on the back room, this is a piece of cake. The
mourner can't see, but it can detect any movements. His attacks are
slashing and running at you and grabbing you. Just stay in one place
and attack him.

Take the RUSTY KEY after the fight and head out of the basement.

When you leave the room, WANDERER is right in front you on the other
side,
which was really scary at first. LOL ^_^. Use the same strategy as

to kill her. After you killed her, leave the room and head for
ITSUKI.

2 MOURNERS come after you and you can't leave this place until you
kill
them both, it's a hard battle, so hope that you have enough medicine
to
help you kill these guys. Use the same strategy as before. After you
kill
them, save so you don't have to fight them again.

Unlock the door with the RUSTY KEY. What's this, Mayu's gone. What's
left
of her is a note that she wrote on the wall, and it's in JAPANESE.
Anyways,
search the table and you get MAYU'S NOTE and WHITE HAIRED BOY
followed by
another cutscene. After the cutscene, you'll be in control of Mayu,
so just
follow the butterflies as before. When you're back in control of Mio,
just
leave from the way you came and head for the KIRYU House. You can
also use
Mayu's Charm to give you a clue to where she is.

KIRYU-TACHIBANA

A small cutscene shows up. CORRIDOR WOMAN appears again on the bridge
and
she's following Mayu if you missed your chance before, then this is
the
only chance you get to capture her.

If you haven't watched the FILM REEL 7 yet then you can go to the
projector
room and view it. If you have then go up the stairs.

Enter the door to the Connecting Corridor.

Go all the way to the other side and try ro open the door, you'll
notice
that it's locked and what's worse BROKEN NECK WOMAN appears when you

to leave.

This is a very easy battle, equip your TYPE-14 FILM and wait for her
to
attack you and dodge it. That'll be your chance for a ZERO SHOT. 3

shots should finish her.

Leave out the door you came from

MAN IN STUDY appears to left of you, so don't move. Take a picture of

and he'll leave behind FOLKLORIST 5 and LAZULITE, you can find them
on the
table.

Well, there's nothing else we can do since the door is locked, but we
can find a another way to save Mayu. Leave out the entrance of the
Kiryu House.

When you enter, your filmament begins to glow right away. Aim your
camera
to right and the green target will appear. Take the picture of the
DAZED GIRL and if done correctly you'll also get the picture of the
DAZED DOLL at the same time. NOTE:It will say DAZED GIRL when you
take
the picture, but if you go to the PHOTO MENU in the options you'll
see
that it says DAZED GIRL and DAZED DOLL. Head for the room that Dazed
Girl
was inside.

1F HANGING DOLL ROOM

Immediately when you enter, FLEEING TWIN and FLEEING DOLL appear and
they
run to the opposite door. Take the picture of them both AT THE SAME
TIME
WHEN YOU'RE TARGET IS GREEN. After, search on top of the table you'll
find
HERBAL MEDICINE and search the drawer for TYPE-14 FILM. Head the door
opposite of the one you came in.

Again when you enter here, VANISHING DOLL AND VANISHING TWIN appear.
Same
thing as before, take thier picture quick. Enter the little room in
the
right side of the hallway.

You can find a TYPE-61 FILM here. Go back to the hallway.

Ignore all the doors to the left and keep going straight. Turn right
and
where the hallway splits, and turn left to enter the little room.

There is a HERBAL MEDICINE here. Take it and leave.

Take the North East door at the end of the hallway. If you can't find
it
locate the little star on your map and enter THAT door.

Go straight and search the drawer that is in the big room for a TYPE-
90 FILM.
Also, search the open drawer for another HERBAL MEDICINE. Leave out
the door
that is located on your map. (the one that you haven't used). When
you try to
leave the room, SITTING DOLL appears behind you where the two statue
dolls are
covered, same strategy with this ones as you did with the other ones.
They'll
leave VIOLET DIARY 2 and a BLUE CRYSTAL. Now we can leave the room.

When you enter here a cutscene will show. Now you have to fight
TWIN'S DOLL
AND TWIN'S SPIRIT.

|BATTLE: TWIN'S DOLL and TWIN'S SPIRIT |

This battle is hard because there are 2 of these girls but only one
will take
damage due to the second one being a doll. It's also hard because the
space to
battle is very small and the twins could use the walls to hide. This
boss also
doesn't have a strategy. The only way to beat them is to find the
real one and
use ZERO SHOTS. Two full zero shots should finish these girls.

|BATTLE: TWIN'S DOLL and TWIN'S SPIRIT |

After the battle go west and behind the curtain you can find FILM
REEL 4.
Don't leave when you get the film reel. There is a hidden ghost here.
Switch
to view finder mode by pressing circle and aim through the window and
PEEPING
CHILD will appear. Take a picture of him. It's kinda scary when he
appears
though. Now go on the hallway beside the curtain, ignore the door on
the right
for now and enter the door on the end of hallway.

When you enter, don't be scared of the big statue that has a cloth
over it.
There's asave point here, so i suggest that you save it here, because
things
start to get tricky now. Head back out to the Hallway of Contrasts

Look on your map, and go to the part where you haven't been before.
Which is
all the way to the other side. Enter the first door on your left.

1F DOLL ROOM
==========
Your filmament starts glowing when you enter the room. Take the
picture of
the right doll, and you'll get a photo of the altar, you also get
points
for taking the picture. Before you leave, on the left side of the
dolls,
you'll see a blue dot. Get it and you recieve DOLL MAKERS NOTE 3. Now
leave.

On the left side of Mio, there's a door, unlock it and you'll be at
the
projector room.

Watch the FILM REEL 4 that you got earlier, and leave back the way
you came

Turn right on the first fork, and look at your map. Look for the
first door
on your map, that you haven't been before. Enter it

When you enter here, your filmament starts glowing. Search the wall
on your
left side for a crack. On the crack, you'll see someone talking and
walking
around the room. Take the picture of HIDDEN MAN. After, search the
altar for
a blue dot, and you'll get VIOLET DIARY 1. Also, before you leave the
room,
on the left corner of the wall, there's a drawer, examine it for a
HERBAL
MEDICINE. Leave

Enter the second door that you haven't been to.

1F SEALED ROOM

Get the DOLL MAKERS NOTE 4 and DOLOMITE on top of the table. Read the
doll
makers note 4 for clues to where the dolls are. After you've taken
these items,
behind you DOOMED GIRL appears, take a picture of her quickly. Also,
search the
shelves for a TYPE-61 FILM. Leave.

NOTE: Occasionally, the twin sisters attack you, when they do, you
don't have
to fight them, just run away from them, and enter any door to get rid
of them.
Make your way to the staircase-hallway.

Save if you want to, then go up the stairs.

2F STAIRCASE-HALLWAY
==========
Go straight, until there are two paths, left and right. Take the
right path,
and you're filmament starts glowing by the blocked path, take the
picture of
PINNED DOWN. Go back and take the left path now. Enter the litte
room.

Your filmament starts glowing again, when you enter here. Take the
picture of
the statue for SHIVERING WOMAN. Before, search the drawer behind the
statue
for a SPIRIT ORB. Leave

Enter the door in front of you.

2F STAIRWAY ROOM

Again, when you enter here, you're filmament starts glowing, follow
your
filmament until you're in a Storeroom.

AZAMI-KIRYU's doll appears. Take the picture of here quickly. After
you've
taken picture of her, you get DOLL'S RIGHT ARM and DOLL MAKER'S NOTE
2. Leave.

Search your map for a save point, it's right ahead of you. Save here,
because
a battle starts. Go down the staircase and a cutscene shows. Don't
freak out,
when you see her. After the cutscene go all the way down the stairs.

1F CLOCK HALL

|BATTLE: FALLEN WOMAN|
++++++++++++++++++++++
She's a freaky looking woman, but really easy to beat. The problem
with her
is that she has a high stamina. Equip your TYPE-61 FILM or TYPE-14
FILM. Her
attacks are grabbing you, and dropping on you from the ceiling.
Whenever you
take a picture of her and deal damage, she dissappears, which means
that she's
gonna drop on you, move around to avoid this attack. To get zero
shots, you
have to wait, when she's waiving her arms.

|BATTLE: FALLEN WOMAN|
++++++++++++++++++++++

After the battle, search underneath the stairs for FILM REEL 3, and
search
the clock for SPODUMENE. Unlock the door by the clock and enter it.

Make your way to the 1F HALLWAY OF CONTRASTS. If you encounter the
twin
sisters, just run away from them.

1F HALLWAY OF CONTRASTS
==========
Your filmament glows when you enter the hallway. Look at your map,
for the
only place that you haven't too before. It's called STOREROOM, and is
pretty
small. When you find it, open the door and DON'T GO INSIDE. Go to
your
viewfinder and take the picture of AZAMI KIRYU. She'll leave behind
DOLL'S
HEAD and DOLL MAKER'S NOTE 1. Make your way to the projector room.

Watch Film Reel 3 here, or any films that you haven't watched. Leave
the
room, through the other door (not the one you came from).

1F SLIDING SCREEN ROOM

Your filmament starts glowing here again. Go to the storeroom, by the
front door, and take the picture of AZAMI KIRYU (last picture of
her).
You get DOLL'S LEFT ARM and VIOLET DIARY. Now go back to the doll
room.

Insert the doll parts by examining the headless doll. You'll notice
that
nothing happened. Search the doll again, and Mio will comment that
you
need DESIGN PLANS. Leave.

Make your way to the SEALED ROOM via the TATAMI ROOM HALLWAY.

Your filmament starts glowing when you enter. Follow your filmanet
and take
the picture of the burned papers. You'll recieve a photo of the TWINS
FACING
EACH OTHER. You'll also get the DESIGN PLANS and CHARRED NOTES.
Leave.

When you enter the hallway someone starts talking. You can't move
until he's
done talking. Now head for the 1F HANGING DOLL ROOM. (Look at your
map if you
don't know where it is.)

Boss fight when you enter this room.

|BATTLE: DOLL MAKER |
++++++++++++++++++++++
This guy is annoying and hard. You can't hit him with Zero shots,
because he
dissappears all the time, and what's worse, he get's the dolls that
are around
the room, to attack you. The only way to stop the dolls is to hit the
Doll
Maker himself. The strategy here is to hit him anytime when you see
him,
otherwise you'll be dead soon.

After the battle, he leaves GLASS EYE and DOLL MAKER'S NOTE 5. After
you get
this, get the blue dot on the floor for a camera function. You get
the SWITCH
FUNCTION and a SPIRIT ORB. Leave.

Make your way to the doll room again.

Go to the doll and insert the glass eye. Now go to the box behind the
dolls
and examine it for your next puzzle

|KIRYU: DOLL MAKER PUZZLE

If you're read the DESIGN PLANS that you got earlier, you'll know how
to solve
this puzzle. What you have to do here, is to make the dolls face each
other.
You can rotate the dolls left or right. You have six turns to make
the dolls
face each other. If you're stuck then look at the DESIGN PLANS.
Here's a litte
part from it.

Well, SAE scared you good on the last cutscene. You won't have your
camera
and flashlight for half of this chapter.

Save here, because invincible SAE is around and is still coming after
you. Get
the HERBAL MEDICINE that's on the floor and leave.

1F HALLWAY OF CONTRASTS

When you enter here, the screen goes black and white.
NOTE: You're not in control of MAYU, SAE is after you what's why
the screen is like that. One touch of SAE can kill you, like
the invincible ghost you saw on chapter 3.
Run all the way to the opposite side of the hallway. Ignore anything
you see.
When you reach the end of the hallway, you'll see a door. Enter it.

1F STAIRCASE-HALLWAY

Save point here, i suggest that you save here. Also, SAE hasn't
stopped
playing around with you. Go up the stairs here.

2F STAIRCASE-HALLWAY
==========
When you go about 2 to 3 steps, SAE comes in front of you. When
you're
in control of Mio, TURN BACK and RUN, and MIO will automatically
enter
a door.

2F ROW OF TATAMI ROOMS E

When you enter here, look at your map for the exit, and run to it
QUICKLY.
SAE is still after you.
NOTE: Enter the door on the right, because the left one is locked

When you enter here, again look at your map for the exit. The door is
to the left of you on the wall as the one you came from.

RUN straight, and look at your map for a door that's ahead of you.
Enter it.

Grab the PAULOWNIA KEY that's on the shelve. There's also a doll but
MIO
ignores it. Head back out.

Now comes the trick part.
RUN straight and there's a locked door. MAKE SURE YOU KEEP GOING,
because
SAE RUNS AT YOU. Use the PAULOWNIA KEY to enter the room.

When you enter here, a cutscene starts. After the cutscene leave the
closet.
Go to the other door, on the opposite side of the room. You'll find
out
that it's locked. You need the doll that we saw earlier on the
storeroom.

HURRY to the storeroom before she runs at you.

Take the RED CORD DOLL, and leave.

house.
You have to make the dolls face each other. But the difference
between
these 2 puzzle are, that they don't have the same rotation. Read the
DESIGN PLANS that you got in the KIRYU HOUSE. Here's a part from it.

Move right doll to 3 o'clock.


Move left doll to 9 o'clock.

Right Button: Right doll 1 hours forward.


Left doll 1.5 hours forward.
Left Button: Right doll 2 hours backward.

CRYSTALS.

Finally, SAE stops coming after you. When you enter here, your
filmament starts
glowing. On the right side of MIO, destroy the ghosts by taking a

Watch the FILM REEL 2, that's already on the projector. After the
film, take it
and leave through the opposite side.

Go the small room by the locked door, and search for FILM REEL 6.
After, go up

Search the box for TYPE-14 FILM. Go the big room and search the table
for the
ZERO FUNCTION POWER UP. Also, search the bookshelves for GREEN DIARY
4. Leave
the way you came from, and go down the stairs.

Go to the projector room.

Watch FILM REEL 6 that you got earlier and leave.

and on the left side there's a small room. Take a picture of the
ghost to
destroy it and enter the room.

Ignore the bell noises and go to the center of the room. Go to the
blue dot
and you'll get CRIMSON DIARY 3. Go the right of the diary was and
your filmament
detects something. Follow your filmament and you'll get the picture
of HIDDEN
TWIN. Now go to the other side of the room, where you see a huge
mummy. On the
left side of the mummy search the drawers for STONE MIRROR. If you
already
have it then ignore it. Go the other door.

Enter the DELUX TATAMI ROOM, in the center of the hallway

Get the GREEN DIARY 2, that's on top of the table and leave.

Go to the west side of the hallway, and you'll see 2 sets of double
doors.
Enter any of them, because they lead to the same room.

Check the drawer on the northeast corner of the room, for a TYPE-61
FILM.
Grab the CRIMSON DIARY 4, that's on top of the table. Leave.

1F TATAMI ROOM HALLWAY

Head back the other way, and you're filmament starts glowing. Go to
the door
and take a picture of it to destroy it. Enter.

1F CLOCK HALL
==========
Geez, this house has the same rooms as the rooms in KIRYU.
Get the SACRED WATER underneath the stairs. Go up the stairs now.

2F STAIRWAY ROOM
==========
When you're up go a litte bit straight, and you'll see Mayu trapper
in a
room and crying. When you try to open the door, it's locked and you
need
the BELL KEY to open it. After you've examined the door, to the right
of
you CRIMSON KIMINO appears. Take a picture of her quickly before she
runs
away.

If you want a little scare then follow me. Before you follow the
litte girl,
search your map for a small storeroom. Enter it.

2F STOREROOM

Don't get dissapointed when you find nothing in this room. Try
leaving the
place and you'll notice that it's locked. You'll also start hearing
cries.
Look through you viewfinder, and the wall is filled with JAPANESE
WRITING.
Although, this is not as scary as the store room in Silent Hill 3,
this
is still fun.
After a short while, you can leave.

2F STAIRCASE ROOM

Now follow to where the little girl went.

2F RAISED TATAMI ROOM
==========
Get the CRIMSON DIARY 2 and a photo on top of the table. Mio will
also
hear someone down below. Leave. and go down the little stairs. Check
the small closets here, until 1 of them open. A cutscene starts.
After the cutscene, head back to the Tatami room, because you don't
want to battle her in this small hallway.

|BATTLE: CRIMSON KIMINO |

This battle is not that hard UNTIL, Chitose's special ability. When
you hear her cry really loud, the screen will go dark, and you won't
be able to see her or anything for a short little while. It's so
easy to get combos with her, when you track her down, go to your view
finder and wait for her to come near you, and you'll get a fatal
frame
moment. 3 to 4 fatal frame should defeat her.

|BATTLE: CRIMSON KIMINO |

After the battle you'll get CRIMSON DIARY 1. Now you have 2 options,
go down the stairs at the end of the hallway in this room or go to
the Tatami rooms for some goodies. I'm going after the goodies first.
If you going for the goodies then head for the row of tatami rooms
on your map.

It's really optional and you don't HAVE to fight her. Leave and head
for the stair case hallway.

You're not here to leave, so don't head for the entrance. Search the

is that don't go and try to fight them, because they are really hard,

will kill you.

Leave the room through the opposite door.

Go to the delux tatami room.

and you'll get FLUORITE, BOUND DIARY 1 AND TACHIBANA CREST. A
cutscene
starts after you take this items. And that's the end of this chapter.

The spirits aren't that bit of a hassle to beat and not to difficult

the game quickly.

NORMAL: This mode is for advanced FF players who've played FF1

and take
longer to put down. Take's a bit down to beat the game.

1. Bad Ending
Requirement - At the final chapter you chose to run
away alone when Mayo and Mio got separated.

2. Normal Ending
Requirement - Finish the game in normal or easy and
you should get this ending.

3. Good Ending
Requirement - Finish the game in hard or nightmare
mode to get the best ending for the game.
