Create a new dial up connection using your handset which has been detected as a
modem, you would get the dialup window.
Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Open Phones & Modems > Select Active
Modem; Go to Properties select Diagnostics and Click Query
If Modem is correctly installed then the result will appear in below window with handset
model and other handset related information.
Go to Network Connections and create a new dialup connection using Infrared as a
modem, you would get the dialup window.
Put in the dial up number as *99#
User Name Password field should remain Blank.
Click on the dialling tab, it will dial automatically and get connected to RTLNET

Only OTA (over the air) compatible handset can receive setting automatically and if
your handset model number is not present in database, OTA settings will not be sent.
In case if you don’t receive WAP/NET/MMS settings on request, then you can configure
the same manually on your WAP / GPRS enabled handset.
GPRS settings are usually found at different locations as per the handset make and
model within the Menu section e.g. in Nokia, this is at Services or Connections or
Destinations, in Samsung, this is at FunBox, in Sony Ericsson, in Data
Communication or Connection/Wap Browsing, in LG, this is at WAP/Services or

Browser, in Motorola, this is at Web Access, in Micromax, this is at Services etc.
MMS settings are normally at the Multimedia Message Settings part. For more details
on handset settings path and how to enter settings manually, kindly check
manufacturer’s handset manual.
For WAP/GPRS/MMS the Profile / Service / Settings / Connection Name could be
anything.
In case if the port no doesn’t work on certain handsets then kindly change as per handset
type (WAP1.0 or 2.0) - Port No/Proxy Port No for WAP 1.0 handset is 9201 and for
WAP 2.0 handset is 8080.

STEP1 GPRS activation through DSTK: - to get GPRS setting for R World through
DSTK, go to the Handset Menu and click on the R Menu/R World Icon. Then go to Get
settings >> GPRS Settings & "Submit Request".
After submission, you will receive an SMS trigger within 24 hrs. Just save it to activate
GPRS & MMS on your mobile.

MMS Setting
MMS Settings are required to send and receive MMS across all RCOM GSM /RTL circles for
postpaid and prepaid subscribers. To access MMS on your Reliance mobile you need to ensure
MMS settings are available / selected on your handset. MMS Charges: Rs.5 per MMS sent

Once the settings are download - Prepaid customers need to recharge with selected
voucher and postpaid customers need to subscribe for MobileNet GPRS plans
Customers can give a request for MobileNet (GPRS) plans via Customer Care.
Customers need to have Data cable.
Dial up Connection needs to be created.
Once Setting is downloaded & plan / voucher is recharged customer can start using this
through Dial up Connection.

Switch on the Bluetooth of your handset.
Double Click the Bluetooth icon on the desktop.
Pair the handset with the Bluetooth.
As and when we pair the handset we get the dial up connection icon.

What is MobileNet?
Sir/Madam, MobileNet is accessing internet on your mobile. The user can go to any internet
site of his/her choice. Reliance Communications is merely providing connectivity between
customers and internet sites and is not responsible for the content on any MobileNet site.
MobileNet service provided by Reliance communication is like any Internet Service Provider.
Sir/Madam, Minimum required balance is 10paisa. (Vas Suvidha is also available according to
the profile of the customer)
Sir/Madam, Free multimedia content (Wallpapers, Ringtones, videos, etc) worth Rs.51 for
Mobilenet51 plan and content worth Rs.99 free with Mobilenet99 plan is available for prepaid
users of RCOM GSM and RTL only. This is a limited period offer and is subject to change in
the near future. Reliance has the right to change the tariff & features if required, with prior
intimation.

What are the applicable charges post completion of content download worth Rs.51 and Rs.99?
Sir/Madam, content would be charged as per standard rates for Wallpapers, Ringtones,

a) In case a prepaid customer is on a retail plan and then takes another retail plan within the validity of
previous plan, benefits would be added in terms of data plus content and validity would be later of the
two validities i.e. whichever is higher.
b) In case a prepaid customer is on a self service plan and takes a retail plan, benefits would be added
in terms of data plus content and validity would be later of the two validities i.e. whichever is higher.
But self service plan would continue with new date.
c) In case a prepaid customer is on a retail plan and takes a self service plan, benefits would be added in
terms of data plus content and validity would be later of the two validities i.e. whichever is higher. But
self service plan would begin with new date.

Sir/Madam, No! Subscription to any one data plan is mandatory for accessing MobileNet. By
default all users would come under default plan. Kindly subscribe to any one of our MobileNet

Do I need to change between WAP and NET settings to access MobileNet plans?
Sir/Madam, NO, you can browse internet on mobile or connect phone as a modem using
pc/laptop using WAP or NET APN.
Sir/Madam, You can subscribe or Unsubscribe MobileNet plans through, SMS, USSD, Rworld
and by calling Customer care. Below are the channels with CFA for Subscription and
Unsubscription.

Sir/Madam, Yes! You can change your data plan. However, charges for the new data plan
would be applicable at that time and there would be no carry forward of previous data plan
balance. At a time, only a single data plan would be active for the subscriber.
Sir/Madam, Yes! To begin, you need to subscribe to any of the monthly internet data plans or
use default pay as you go plan. Prepaid customer having sufficient balance in his/her account
can access MobileNet sites. Likewise, postpaid customer can also access internet sites as long as
his connection is active and not discontinued.

Can I access internet on mobile using mobile browsers like Opera, Skyfox etc?
Sir/Madam, you can access internet sites on mobile using mobile browsers, however access to
sites requires purchase of any of the MobileNet plans.
Sir/Madam, MobileNet GPRS plans would give you internet access on mobile as well
PC/Laptop. You can use the MobileNet to access information, services and entertainment, much
the same way that you do on your PC. Reliance Communications is merely providing
connectivity between the customer and internet sites.
Sir/Madam, Reliance Communications is only providing connectivity like any other ISP
(Internet Service Provider).Majority of 3rd party sites or MobileNet sites would open on
handsets. Incase if the 3rd party mobile site that you are trying to access through the mobile
phone is not formatted as per the handset then the page might not display properly. Incase of
any issue with a particular site then the customer can contact the internet/wap site for more
details.
What are the terms and conditions for accessing 3rd party sites using MobileNet plans?
