Science Competition is
available to students in
grades K-12. You must
work in a group of two,
three or four students.
Each team will select a
technology that is
present in the home,
school and/or
community and explore
what the technology
does, how it works and
how or why it was
invented. All applicants
must be citizens of the
United States or
Canada to be eligible.

Be thirteen (13)
years of age or older at

States or the District of
Columbia
Be currently enrolled
(or enroll no later than
the fall of 2022) in an
accredited postsecondary institution of

The Create-A-Greeting Card


Scholarship Contest is open
to currently enrolled high
school and college students
in the United States. To
enter, you must design a
holiday, get well, or birthday
greeting card and submit
your work to be judged. Your
photo, art, or graphics
submitted must be your own
original work and you must
be at least 14 years of age to
be eligible for this award.

5. Boys & Girls Clubs of Americas Youth


of the Year
Deadline: Varies by state. Applicants must first compete in their home state before a
final, national competition. Check with your states organization.
Amount: $50,000
Since 1947, Youth of the Year has been Boys & Girls Clubs of Americas premier
recognition program, celebrating the extraordinary achievements of Club teens. Club
members who earn the youth of the Year title embody the values of leadership service;
academic excellence; and healthy lifestyles. They exemplify the critical impact that Boys
Girls Clubs have on the lives of young people.
Local Clubs recognize members ages 14 to 18 as Youth of the Month Winners and
select a Youth of the Year, who then participates in state competitions. State winners
each receive a $5,000 scholarship and advance to regional competitions. Regional
winners receive an additional $10,000 college scholarship, renewable for four years up
to $40,000. Six youth, including five regional winners and a military winner, advance to
the National Youth of the Year competition for a chance at an additional scholarship of
$25,000, renewable up to $100,000 for four years. The National Youth of the Year
represents all Boys & Girls Club youth.
