Vintage style gloves

I made these gloves to match my 1950s summer dress and they came out just like I wanted them!

Materials
Cotton

Step 1 Cut

Print out the pattern on an A4 paper and cut out the pieces.Fold your fabric in half and pin the pattern pieces
onto the faric (make sure that the main piece of the glove is against a folded edge). Add about 0,5 cm of seam
allowance and cut out the pieces. Now you have two mirrored parts of each pattern piece. Then cut out a hole
in each main glove piece where your thumb should be (of course this should only be on the palm side of the
glove, even if that doesnt show in the pattern). I recommend making a prototype glove in muslin first to be
able to improve the fit.

Step 2 Sew

Pin the A, B and C parts to the main piece and sew them together. This is hard but possible to do on the
machine.

Step 3 Sew

Pin the back side of the glove to the gussets and the palm side and sew from the top of the index finger to the
wrist continuosly.

Step 4 Add the thumb

Sew the sides of the thumb together and turn right side out. Then put it through the hole in the palm om the
glove (just like you do when you attatch a sleeve to a bodice) and then pin and sew.

Step 5 Tadaa!

Done! Youve made your very own gloves! (I also added cuffs to mine.)
