    Narrative: This artifact demonstrates my ability to innovatively think and develop an

    actionable vision for a campus that I will someday lead. This vision shows that while
    functioning in one vision I am continuously thinking of ways to improve life for all
    learners. This vision was made with input from different education leaders across the
    Dallas Metroplex. By involving community leaders as well, we will have a unified vision
    of what we expect our students to achieve. After reviewing their thoughts this
    comprehensible vision was developed as more than a statement but an actionable point of
    ideas we must achieve. A vision should be a living document constantly evolving as our
    students grow. By involving parents, students, community members, staff I was able to
    get initial buy in on what we can achieve. People are more invested in what they help
    create so it is important to engage them in the beginning. This vision also shows the
    research that we value. We believe that effective and happy teachers make the most
    difference in our students. We also believe that the world is more than a book and without
    the integration of the world around us, our students are at a disservice.

    Vision: Success Academy will be a community where students become scholars and
    scholars become citizens. At Success Academy we value the diverse aspects of each
    scholar and family. At Success Academy we not only talk about excellence but we expect
    it. Each and every scholar will be valued and pushed to excel not only academically but
    also socially and emotionally as well. At Success Academy we believe in the power of the
    holistic scholar. We aim to create a community of scholars whom are self advocates but
    also voices for the unheard. At Success Academy we make learning fun.
    We at Success Academy are invested not only in the school but also in the community
    that surrounds us. We understand the value that community plays in the pursuit of
    excellence for each one of our scholars. Through effective communication we aim to
    engage parents and community members alike. We strive to produce and environment
    where the school is the hub of community excellence and involvement.
    Since creating global citizens is a continuous goal, we employ teachers and staff that not
    only push for academic excellence but also promote growth in all avenues of life. We
    look for staff that can teach and prepare our scholars for the world outside our four walls.
    We teach students the power of differences but the beauty of tolerance. Wherever the next
    step may lead for our scholars, we teach them how to take each one with integrity and
    poise. At Success Academy we are not just preparing scholars, we are preparing the
    future.
