1. Discuss alterations in pulmonary functions in relation to changes in the
normal structures of the system, affecting ventilation or gas exchange.
2. Express basic concepts of pulmonary function and pathophysiologic changes.

Unit behavioral objectives:
1. Describe the morphology and functions of formed the elements of blood (red
blood cells, white blood cells and platelets).
2. Explain the etiology and pathological processes of the different hematologic
disorders.
