Student Work

When you showcase student work you let them know that they are an important part of the classroom. The teacher plans to display student work on bulletin boards where each student can change their work weekly. Students will also create portfolios to showcase their best work and evaluations of their strengths and weaknesses, as well as works in progress to illustrate the creation and revision process.

When you showcase student work you let them know that they are all an important piece

of the puzzle! -Unknown

Since most students are proud of the work they do, I plan to display as much of it as I can in our classroom. I will dedicate bulletin boards where each student can showcase their hard work. Students will be required to change their work weekly.

I would also have students showcase their work through portfolios. Portfolios are collections of student creations. It can be a folder containing a student's best work and the student's evaluation of the strengths and weaknesses of their piece. It may also contain one or more works-in-progress that illustrate the creation of a product, such as an essay, evolving through various stages of conception, drafting, and revision.
