Buick Envision

Buick continues its product renaissance with the introduction of the new 2024 Envision. Building on the nameplate's second-best retail sales year ever in 2023, the premium compact SUV is now even more compelling with the addition of more standard safety and driver assistance features, striking new design inside and out, and sweeping technology updates.

"Buick owners expect beautiful design, purposeful technology and safe, efficient vehicles," said Duncan Aldred, global vice president, Buick and GMC. "We've raised the bar with the new 2024 Envision, with all those attributes and more for the best compact SUV Buick has ever delivered. With our freshest tech, features and style, the Envision follows in the footsteps of the wildly popular Envista that launched last year and continues to build on Buick's momentum."

New style - inside and out

Buick's new grille and front fascia, which don the brand's updated, body-mounted emblem on a restyled hood, result in a fresh and modern exterior. Additionally, new 'checkmark' LED headlamps and taillamps evolve Buick's signature winged lighting motif, while the new rear fascia features updated badging and a sweeping, sculpted design inspired by the Wildcat EV concept.

The Envision elevates Buick's design ethos with modern, forward-looking styling and design.

New exterior colors including Calypso Blue Metallic and Smokey Amethyst Metallic offer customers more expressive color choices to complement their personal style.

The 2024 Envision is the latest product to adopt Buick's new streamlined three-trim strategy - Preferred, ST and Avenir - and with that, it comes with more standard content and unique personalities for each trim.

To accentuate the Envision's fresh styling, new 20-inch alloy wheels are standard on ST and Avenir trims, with 18-inch alloy wheels standard on the Preferred. The ST wheels sport a Carbon Flash Metallic finish, while the Avenir wheels feature a refined Pearl Nickel finish.

The sleek new interior is accentuated by a segment-leading 30-inch-diagonal, ultra-wide display that stretches from the center console to the gauge cluster and offers customizable freeform screens under one sheet of glass. The system allows customers to prioritize their preferred views, switching between multiple widgets such as navigation, vehicle information, audio entertainment and more.

Buick Envision's infotainment system is designed to give drivers the most intuitive vehicle experience. They can use the touchscreen or simply use Google Assistant to reply to messages from their paired smartphones, get directions with Google Maps or control select vehicle functions. Drivers can also add apps to listen to their favorite music and podcasts.

The interior technologies are complemented by a sweeping new interior design theme, with bold interior color options such as Garnet with Ebony accents and Cool Gray with Slate Blue accents. Further features include multicolor ambient lighting for the Envision's interior.

The front and rear seats have been updated and upgraded to provide a stylized yet comfortable experience. The revamped center console combines with upgraded trim throughout to elevate the cabin's premium aesthetic. A new, leather-wrapped steering wheel also offers added refinement and ST models add an extra touch of sportiness with a standard flat-bottom steering wheel.

Most standard safety and driver assistance features on any Buick ever

A new, enhanced safety suite provides the most active safety and driver assistance features ever on a Buick including:

  • Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control
  • Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking
  • Front Pedestrian and Bicycle Braking
  • Rear Cross Traffic Braking
  • HD Surround Vision
  • Blind Zone Steering Assist
  • IntelliBeam auto high beams and more

Also coming standard is Buick's Technology I package, which includes a nine-speaker Bose Premium audio system and Head-Up Display.

When it comes to performance, the revamped Buick Envision delivers with a standard 2.0L turbocharged ECOTEC engine paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive as standard.

The turbocharged engine is rated at 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque while the Envision's standard Active Twin-Clutch AWD system offers customers the simplicity of automatic engagement, coupled with optimized traction and handling in most conditions. A premium five-link front and rear suspension design across the lineup delivers comfort, control and precision for responsive yet plush ride and handling, while Continuous Damping Control (CDC) technology is standard on Avenir, giving customers enhanced ride comfort and driving dynamics and further elevating the premium driving experience.

Buick's signature QuietTuning technology helps reduce and block noise inside and out of the vehicle for a more peaceful ride.

Coming summer 2024

The 2024 Envision is expected to be available at dealerships in summer 2024, with a starting at MSRP of $37,295 for Preferred. The ST trim starts at $39,795 and Avenir starts at $48,395.
