Variants

Jet Zok Troopers are enemies in Mario & Luigi: Brothership, serving in the Zok Troops. They are common enemies in Fortress Zokket, where they fly around, swooping down at Mario and Luigi if they approach. Jet Zok Troopers are blue in color and have a jetpack on their backs, as well as arms resembling that of Ecks instead of legs.

After Reclusa reawakens, Jet Zok Teoopers get infected with Glohm, becoming Glohm Jet Zok Troopers.

Battle[edit]

In battle, Jet Zok Zok Troopers fly above the ground, so some attacks will miss them. They have two standard attacks, but depending on what other enemies are with them, they can gain three more attacks:

  • By themselves, Jet Zok Troopers can fly above Mario or Luigi and fall on them. If their Jetpack deactivates during their flight, they will delay their landing. They must be counterattacked by using the hammer.
  • When alone, they can also carry a spike ball and fly above a character in an attempt to drop it on them. Afterwards they will loop back and fly directly at the same character. Both the spike ball and the Jet Zok Trooper must be defending against by using the hammer. Striking the spike ball will launch it at another enemy in the battle.
  • If a Spike Zok Trooper is present, both the Spike Zok Trooper and Jet Zok Trooper will line up at one location before they charge in the direction of Mario and Luigi, one at a time. The Spike Zok Trooper rushes across the ground, while the Jet Zok Trooper flies through the air. Whoever goes first is randomly decided, and the attack is dodged by jumping. Landing on the enemies will damage them, but the Bros. might get hit by the Jet Zok Trooper if the Spike Zok Trooper goes first.
  • If there is a Zokkarang Trooper, the Jet Zok Trooper can carry the Zokkarang Trooper in front of Mario or Luigi, where it will throw multiple Zokkarangs at the closest character, then returning from behind the other Bro. After each throw, the Jet Zok Trooper might move up and down, affecting the elevation of the Zokkarangs. This attack is avoided by jumping; High Zokkarangs must not be jumped over.
  • If a Ring Zok Trooper is also in the battle, the Ring Zok Trooper can create glass panels above both Bros. while the Jet Zok Trooper flies above both to drop a spike ball on each character. The spike ball destroys all glass panels before landing on Mario and Luigi. Hammers are used to defend against the attack. Spike balls that are countered will be sent at the attacking Ring Zok Trooper.

Defeating a Weeping Trooper in the Soli-Tree causes a Jet Zok Trooper, a Spike Zok Trooper, and a Zokkarang Trooper to spill out, with all three leaving the battle immediately afterward.
