Updating (IoT)¶

Due to the complexity of the IoT box, and virtual Windows IoT box, the term ‘updating’ can mean several different things.

This document explores the various ways to update IoT boxes to ensure smooth operation of IoT box processes and devices.

IoT 박스에서 SD 카드 플래시하기¶

경우에 따라서는 Odoo의 최신 IoT 이미지 업데이트를 활용하기 위해 IoT 박스에 있는 마이크로 SD 카드를 Etcher 소프트웨어로 다시 플래시해야 합니다. 즉 Odoo IoT 박스 소프트웨어를 새로운 IoT 박스의 인스턴스 또는 핸들러 업데이트를 할 때 업데이트하거나 또는 문제가 해결되지 않을 경우 IoT 박스 홈페이지에서 업데이트해야 할 수 있습니다.

먼저 Etcher 를 다운로드하여 시작합니다. 이미지 파일을 드라이브로 복사하는 데 사용하는 무료 오픈 소스 유틸리티입니다. 다운로드가 완료되면 컴퓨터에 프로그램을 설치한 후 실행합니다.

Then, download the latest IoT image from nightly, which will be labeled as iotbox-latest.zip. This particular image is compatible with all supported versions of Odoo.

Lastly, click Flash, and wait for the process to finish.

팁

Then, enter the following: http://nightly.odoo.com/master/iotbox/iotbox-latest.zip.

Windows IoT update¶

Windows virtual IoT box may occasionally need an update to work properly.

The following processes cover the uninstallation and re-installation of the Windows virtual IoT box.

Windows IoT 삭제하기¶

Prior to upgrading the Windows virtual IoT box, the previous version should be uninstalled first.

Uninstalling the Windows virtual IoT box is done through the Windows program manager.

Confirm the uninstallation, and follow the steps to uninstall through the Odoo uninstall wizard.

Download and re-install¶

Windows 가상 IoT 박스 최신 버전은 Odoo 야간 빌드 페이지에서 다운로드하거나 언제든지 Odoo 다운로드 페이지에서 사용할 수 있습니다.

Odoo 야간 빌드 페이지에서 다운로드하려면 빌드 S (안정화 버전) ‣ windows/ 로 이동하여 odoo_(버전).latest.exe 파일을 선택합니다. 여기서 (버전) 은 Odoo 버전 (예: 16.0, 17.0)과 같이 표시됩니다.

To download from the Odoo Download page, find the section for the version of Odoo (e.g. 16.0, 17.0), and select the Download button for Windows.

Next, install and setup the downloaded Odoo .exe file. After the instructions screen, click Next to start the installation, and agree to the TOS.

During the next step of the re-installation, select Odoo IoT from the Select the type of install drop-down menu.

Ensure there is enough space on the computer for the installation, then click Next.

Set the destination and complete the installation¶

To complete the re-installation, select the Destination Folder, and click Install.

The installation may take a few minutes. When complete, click Next to continue.

Update from the IoT box home page¶

새 버전으로 IoT 박스 이미지를 사용할 수 있는 경우 _xx.xx_로 업그레이드 버튼이 페이지 하단에 나타납니다. 디바이스를 업그레이드하려면 이 버튼을 클릭합니다. 그러면 IoT 박스가 최신 버전으로 깜박입니다. 그러면 이전 환경 설정 내용이 모두 저장됩니다.

Handler (driver) update¶

개별 디바이스 (예: 측량계, 측정 도구 등)에 대해 드라이버나 인터페이스를 업데이트해야 하는 경우가 생길 수 있습니다. IoT 핸들러 (드라이버 및 인터페이스) 코드는 설정된 서버 핸들러의 코드와 동기화하여 수정할 수 있습니다.

This can be helpful in instances where IoT devices (e.g. scales, measurement tools, etc.) are not working properly with the IoT box.

Next, click Handlers list, and then select Load Handlers at the bottom of the page.
