by Jeff Haynes

Summary:
The story of Rockstar's Manhunt 2 is well known by now, particularly with its initial rating of Adults Only, its subsequent delay and eventual re-classification as a Mature title. However, a recent ESRB ratings list seemed to add a new chapter to the controversial title at first glance, as the game was reclassified for the PS2, PSP and Wii as Adults Only once again. Such a classification would be quite troublesome for a game, because most retailers won't stock or sell such titles, but the decision to reclassify a title that was released a year ago with the controversial elements removed did appear to be a strange one. Again IGN, you don't know anything. The reason it's being re-rated is becausesome guys found out that the game's M mode can be deactivated so all the AO violence can be seen. I'll be around to correct you next time you make a stupid mistake, but till then, try not to think, you'll only hurt yourself.:)

This was no mistake and it wasn't because of the locking because you could only unlock on the PSP verison I'm wondering why they added it to the AO list anyway it was never originally in the AO database I remember checking a year ago under rock star AO and it offically was "RP" rating and san andreas was the only one with the AO rating

Whoa... Wait a minute. You can remove the violence Filter? Is it strictly the psp version or is it possible on the Wii?

this is so stupid...
the game was never that good anyways.

they only make it get more publicity doing this. As things are right now, you can do worse things in Gears of War, but they're so afraid of Rockstar..

a meh game don't care for the most part. Esrb censorship to increase sales or prevent salers to stock games altogether makes me feel dirty thinking about it.

raven1221:

I have a wii version of the game with the violence filter removed... don't know how the person who removed the filter did it but it is possible.

"Here we go again...."

That about sums it up for me to. Luckily I imported this game and still have it, F+++ any whining sensor trying to tell me what I can or cant play.

That is all.

The game was pretty disapointing comparing to how great the original was, but the esrb needs to get a grip. I've always loved rockstar since the first grand theft auto for pushing boundries and can't wait to see what they come up with next.
