Tips for Defeating Security Officer
While they may not be seasoned fighters, Security Officer's can still deal you some pretty harmful damage when you're catch off guard. We suggest that in order to efficiently defeat the Security Officers, that you use Fire spells.

Elite Security Officer's shouldn't cause you too much trouble, but it is worth noting that by blocking their melee attacks, it makes them much easier to interrupt.

Using their shields to block any incoming frontal attacks, your best bet to defeating Riot Troopers is to use Fire spells and attempt to outflank them.

Much like their lesser versions, Elite Riot Troopers use their shields to block any incoming frontal attacks. For this reason, your best option to defeating Elite Riot Troopers is to use Fire spells and attempt to outflank them from behind.

Troopers belonging to Shinra's Public Security Division. Equipped with flamethrowers that can target a wide area, they are used in monster extermination ops or when the enemy must be thoroughly obliterated.

Shock Troopers can be a little tricky as they wont hesitate to evade all standard attacks, except when they are attacking or knocked off their feet. We found that hitting them with fire attacks was the most efficient and easiest way to defeat them.

Special troopers that had been enhanced with mako energy. SOLDIERs divided into 3 classes, based on their capabilities. The 3rd class is the lowest, but even they are vastly more effective than standard troopers.

Tips for Defeating Guard Dogs
Guard Dog's are particularly weak to magic attacks - especially those based around the element of Ice. You will find that when using magic attacks against Guard Dog's, their stagger gauge will fill rapidly.
Wrath Hound
The result of administering ability-enhancing drugs to guard dogs. As a side effect, these dogs often went into a bloodthirsty frenzy, so most of them were put down... but some survived.

Tips for Defeating Wrath Hounds
Wrath Hound's are particularly challenging, especially during your first encounter. To best defeat them, it's important to understand that on most occasions, their attacks cannot be interrupted, regardless of what ATB commands are used.
However, when enraging the Wrath Hound and sending them into a frenzy, you will want to take full advantage as this will be when they are most susceptible to interruptions.
Bloodhound
Military canines trained by Shinra's Public Security Division. Genetic modifications have bestowed these animals with tentacles that can drain energy from their victim

Unless a Bloodhound is in the middle of an attack or knocked off-balance, all magic attacks, except for spells that are guaranteed to hit, will be evaded.

Tips for Defeating Sentry Ray
Lightning magic is the most effective method for increasing a Sentry Ray's stagger gauge as they are only affected by non elemental and lightning magic attacks.
Laser Cannon
A modified version of the autonomous entry ray weapons platform. Overall capabilities, including the effects of its lasers, are greatly enhanced.

The Laser Cannon can only have its stagger gauge affected by non elemental and lightning attacks.
It's also important to remember that lightning attacks will be much more effective on this enemy due to it being one of its weakness.

An autonomous weapons platform developed by the Advanced Weaponry Division. Able to rotate a full 360 degrees for improved surveillance. It has an extremely quick response time between detecting intruders and launching its homing missiles.

Slug-Ray
A compact sentry weapon manufactured by Shinra's Advanced Weaponry Division. Its gyroscopic control system enables the unity to track and engage intruders from the air at high speeds.

Tips for Defeating Slug-Ray
In order to fill the Slug-Ray's stagger gauge, you will find that physical attacks will be your best attack option as it will fill the gauge rather rapidly.
That's not all, as upon dealing a certain amount of physical damage while the Slug-Ray is airborne, you will witness the sentry weapon come crashing to the ground.
Shock-Ray
A modified version of the slug-ray that is armed with high-voltage weapons, which immobilize targets.

While the Shock-Ray's stagger gauge can be filled rapidly by performing Physical attacks, it is also worth mentioning that dealing a certain amount of Physical damage while it's airborne, will send the Shock-Ray crashing to the ground.
Blast-Ray
A modified version of the slug-ray. Larger than the original model, but unable to fly. Equipped with rapid-fire grenade launchers that can eliminate multiple targets at once.

Tips for Defeating Sweeper Prototype
After hitting the Sweeper Prototype with several attacks, you will find that its arm section will go into a rampage. To end this rampage state, inflict a certain amount of damage to shut it down. This will allow you to then fill the enemies stagger gauge.
Cutter
An improved version of the Sweeper, outfitted with spinning saw blades at the end of each arm.

Tips for Defeating Cutter
Defeating the Cutter can be a little bit tricky, as dealing certain amounts of damage or destroying an arm will knock it down to the ground, making it much more susceptible to staggering.
Upon the Cutter recovering from being knocked down, he will enter a rampage mode, which makes him much more difficult to stagger.
Jury-Rigged Cutter
A cutter modified by a Wall Market local using scrap parts then dumped illegally when it proved unstable.

Tips for Defeating M.O.T.H. Unit
As the M.O.T.H Unit finishes charging up enough electricity, it will unleash a devastating special attack. Thankfully, for a short period after the attack the enemy will be susceptible to staggering.

Tips for Defeating The Valkyrie
Melee, Lightning, and Wind attacks will rapidly fill The Valkyrie's stagger gauge, however, long-range and magic attacks will have a slighly lesser effect on its gauge.
It's also worth mentioning that all attacks will have a slightly lesser effect on the machines stagger gauge during Limiter Override. You will also be able to slightly slow its movement upon dealing a certain amount of physical damage.
