The Izhmash PP-19 is a series of Russian submachine guns. It was designed by a team lead by Victor Kalashnikov, the son of Mikhail Kalashnikov, which included Alexei Dragunov, the youngest son of Yevgeny Dragunov, creator of the SVD sniper rifle.

The PP-19 Bizon (also known as the Bizon-1 to distinguish it from the later Bizon-2) is the original version of the PP-19 introduced in 1996, now no longer manufactured. It is chambered only for 9x18mm Makarov, and feeds from a 64-round helical magazine; pre-production models held 67 rounds, but this was reduced based on the fact that 9x18mm ammunition is usually sold in packs of 16 rounds. This version was only available with a AKS-74-style left side folding stock.

The PP-19 Bizon-2 is an upgraded version of the original Bizon. This version introduced several changes, as well as the introduction of three new calibers, 9x19mm Parabellum, .380 ACP, and 7.62x25mm Tokarev. An additional version, the Bizon-2-01, has a top-folding stock instead of the side-folding stock.

The most obvious changes between the Bizon-1 and Bizon-2 are the sights, flash hider, magazine design, magazine front attachment point, and the size of the vent holes.
