Mary Ann, I am so sorry for your loss. Living next to Lucille, I feel like I know your whole family. This past year has been one hell of a year for your family. I feel terrible that I just found out today or I would of been there to say goodbye. Mary Ann you have a wonderful beautiful family. Larry was a great guy. I know you miss him terribly. I just can't believe it. Larry and Lucille should be arguing right about now up there. I miss them both. Love Janice and Jordan

I will miss you so much, Dad! You were a tough one...with me and everyone else, too. What a great ride we were on, loving and fighting all the way through. Always with so much feeling and passion. Nothing was ever just simple or boring with you. It was always full of fire and so much love. I know I am so much like you and that makes me smile. As an adult I can really feel it and I'm glad you gave me that spirit of really showing when I am excited, or mad, or annoyed, or happy, or sad. Everyone says my laugh is really loud but you win that one ;) I wanted more years with you, Dad. You really were a light in my life. You got me going, ya know?! Brought me to life. I wish you lots of rest and peace through this long fight. I hope to see you again so you can say, "Hey, Jo!" I will miss you forever, Joanne

As a biologist for Illinois DNR, I spent quite a bit of time with Larry on the water and at meetings. He was always a joy to be around...one of the few who laughed as loud as me. God speed, Larry.

So sorry for your loss. Larry was a longtime friend and co-worker. I first met Larry when I joined Nalco Environmental Sciences, in Chicago. Our first fishing trip was for walleye, Wisconsin River. We also fished for muskie in northern Wisconsin. We both worked as fisheries biologists in the power industry, he was a true professional. Know that he truly enjoyed his family, career, and life. Will truly miss him at steering committee and fisheries society meetings. Steve Pallo, Retired Chief of Fisheries, Illinois DNR.

I was deeply saddened to hear about Larry. I had the opportunity to work with him for many years while he managed the fish hatchery at Quad Cities Nuclear Station. Larry clearly set the standard for personal dedication in the industry of fish management. Whenever we met to work on projects, Larry would always find time to laugh, share special stories and enjoy life. He was incrediby dedicated to his job and all the work that he did. I will miss him and that laugh that made him so very special. My sympathies for your loss.

Mary Ann and Family, Tony the kids and I are so sorry about Larry's passing and the sadness that you are feeling right now. We will remember Larry at his best; passionate outdoors-man, awesome and tender-hearted grandpa. A man whose family meant everything to him. Dr. Seuss wrote a wonderful phrase: Remember me and smile, for it’s better to forget than to remember me and cry.” May your many happy and joyful memories of Larry help you at this most difficult time. Liz, Tony, Isabella & Matthew
