- Synopsis
- This film is based on the true story of Lieutenant Robert Lawrence M.C. (Colin Firth), a former British Army officer, who fought and was severely wounded in the Falklands War in the battle for Tumbledown Hill in June 1982. His account of his experiences during and after the war was later adapted into this controversial television play and the book co-written with his father John Lawrence: “When the Fighting is Over: A Personal Story of the Battle for Tumbledown Mountain and Its Aftermath”.
