- Synopsis
- When police detective Maggie comes home from work one night, her husband Dominik has vanished The only thing he left behind is a half empty plate of spaghetti on the kitchen table. Although Maggie moves heaven and earth, Dominik never resurfaces. At least so it seems… 16 years later, Chris ransoms a 9 year old girl, Jenjira, from Thai human traffickers. He wants to find foster parents for her in Europe. Back in Germany, he realizes that he can not pay for the girl because his father refuses to give him the necessary money While running from the Mafia, a close relationship develops between Chris and Jenjira. THIS IS LOVE is a complex thriller-drama that deals with the pain of love and the desire to overcome it by intricately interweaving the past and the present.
