Bravo Bravo Abarth Conversion.

Introduction

I always thought that the Bravo is such a beautiful car and would look amazing in Abarth livery. So I set out on this project which I have really enjoyed doing. I also really love the hidden exhausts rather than the twin pipes on the back also which is why I have no plans to change the back end of the box. Currently Running at a "restricted" 175BHP and 209ft/lb of torque, it currently has more torque than the 695 Tribute 500!

So i've slowly been doing work to my Bravo over the last 1.5years! Thought it was finally time to post up whats been done and get some opinions! Won't be for everyone but welcome all opinions! :D

So I started with my 150 T-Jet below (as standard)

So my first modification was Hid's which were 4300k's:

Then I got my GSR installed and remapped:

I have some restrictive problems with my Cat on the exhaust, which is backing up my exhaust so my power is flat-lining higher up. This will be sorted in the next couple of months. It's plenty fast enough at the moment.

Next I got my Abarth badges and Alloy wheels for my car:

Afterwards I made a new Abarth Key in the new style:

And I got a new engine cover and set of car mats to go with it:

And finally, replaced my steering wheel with a new one from a 500 Abarth:

When I finally get my new Exhaust parts I can also fit my Esseesse boost sensors to regulate the boost better too:

So with that completed so far, some further modifications include:
-New downpipe with sport cat from TMC and Esseesse boost sensors
-Grande Punto Abarth Seats
-Maybe some new Springs and Dampeners
-New Brakes/Tyres

Thanks For Looking! :D
Re: Bravo Abarth Conversion

what is the name of this sensor ? i can't find it :( where it inserted in the engine?

Thats the TMAP sensor found on the inlet manifold. The one from the SS is a Bosch 0281002437. There are also 2 MAP sensors, one of which is on the black metal intake pipe, they are the Bosch 0281002931 but they are either very rare or discontinued

Leigh,

Cracking car bud (y) will be keeping an eye on your progress as I too have been in the process of Abarthing mine for a while now.

My steering wheel isn't quite the same as yours but definitely in line with Abarth, I do like the 500 one but 1) it wasn't available when I got mine and 2) I don't want to clone the 500 but I am tempted at the right price

You were right to think of sensor upgrades from the SS but it depends how far you want to go (don't have to go extreme i.e. lim slip diffs and ceramic clutch etc) but if you are thinking cams then you want new injectors too and the fuel pressure reg with an FMIC (cheap if you custom order from forge) but step by step eh?

Exhaust-wise I got a custom jobbie with an Abarth cat but now the 500s are all upgrading to the Garretts, the downpipes and cats seem available. I'm not sure if its a straight swap though, but it is good to let our Bravos breathe!

Springs - I went front 35mm rear 50mm but it's personal preference. If you keep them level, the front scrapes a lot more.

I've been trying to get some of the corse seats and they are in the pipeline but I'm not forking out the 1500 notes the want for them.

I had a front bumper on the front but now new ones are available I've switched back. My next move is the bonnet, it just looks too feminine, the M3 Carbon Fibre one and the matching spoiler look the nuts (had the Bravo Sport one and it's a bit pathetic in comparison) (n)
[I know it's not to everyone's taste but thats the look I'm going for]

Overkill on the response, sorry :p

Looking good LeighJet !

I also have made some Abarth mods for my Bravo, despite the Dynamic
status & the colour my car has.
- Supersprint Cat Back 1 x 2 exhaust
- Pro-Kit - 30.mm
- Biscione rear spoiler
- Red brake calipers
- Ferodo racing/ street pads & InterCar racing discs
- 17" Brock B21 wheels
- Abarth badges - the front & rear
also I have the Abarth side badges, but slightly up from the side
indicators.
- The front grille a la honeycomb

Good to see other Abarthsized Bravos (y)

Really like the grill on this, where is it from?

Re: Bravo Abarth Conversion

Never really noticed them, must be an FR or sport version though? Would be good to try use a fiat honeycomb design too I think.x

Re: Bravo Abarth Conversion

Lower. Lower. Lower. (y)

Tint the lights a bit as well, and you're onto a winner bud.

Yeah will be lower, but i dont have the gear to lower it myself and its gonna cost a fortune, unless I can find someone to put the springs on! Tints for rear are on the list but I have a trip to Aps/Nurburg ring in April so funds are alittle tight  but after its all gonna happen! :D

Re: Bravo Abarth Conversion

put the sport body kit

that will make all the difference side skirts and spoiler

Spoiler is going on at nearer then end of the year and when i get the funds I might invest in skirts too

Re: Bravo Abarth Conversion

hey buddy found your thread ;)

Car is sweet, looked awesome in my rear view mirror @ YorkshireITALIA :p

Why has it not got the red mirror caps and stripes fitted? And it defo needs more lows!

I didnt want to run out of fuel :D although cant turn my back on your car for a second! lol!

Car now has the caps and strips on, fitted them last week. Hopefully new tyres this weekend! Spring are "in progress" might happen sooner than planned! I sorta like the 4x4 look :p Too much stuff to do but not enough funds! :D
