Dropped Nosebands

Of German origin, the drop noseband (also known as the Hanoverian noseband) sits lower on the face below or near the bit, parallel to the horse’s chin, resting on the nasal bone. This drop noseband is useful for younger more energetic horses as they are getting used to the bit.
