BBC Breakfast eagle-eyed viewers all notice same thing about guest

BBC Breakfast viewers were left scratching their heads after they noticed the same thing about Thursday morning's guest.

BBC Breakfast hosts chat to guest about Capri car

BBC Breakfast fans were left in hysterics after spotting a rather odd detail about Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt's guest on Thursday morning.

It was apparent one BBC Breakfast guest was in a rush to leave the studio.

Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt fronted Thursday morning's episode of the long-running news show.

The duo discussed all things news, from England's brilliant win against the Netherlands in the Euros semi-final and the newly revamped Capri model, a car made by Ford.

Motoring journalist Ouentin Wilson and Mark Smith from the Capri Club spoke to BBC Breakfast about Ford's new Capri - which is now electric.

However, fans were left distracted by Mark's outfit choice after he kept his coat on for the entire interview.

Taking to X, formally Twitter, one user @WeLoveYou67 quipped: "Mark, feel free to take your coat off. #bbcbreakfast."

As a second viewer @dylan6roberts playfully wrote: “When someone comes to see you but they're 'not stopping'. #BBCBreakfast.”

And @CostaSmeralda2pointed out: “He’s not staying...”

When it came to Mark’s opinion on the new Capri, he stated: “It will not replace the iconic Capri.”

The reason behind the uproar over Ford’s new electric model is that they’ve associated one of the most cherished names in the history of cars with it.

In the 1970s and 1980s, the Capri was dubbed the “working man’s Porsche” for its style and affordability selling almost 1.9 million models.

Ford advertised the two-door sports coupe as “the car you always promised yourself” and it was just as popular on TV.

But now they have “tarnished” the name as a four-door electric crossover and Capri enthusiasts have been left divided.

BBC Breakfast airs from 6am on BBC and BBC iPlayer.
