      Introduction

      There are times in the mysterious and uncertain path of life that our bravery, tenacity, and unshakable spirit takes form. Of the presented challenges, few leave a more formidable mark than a cancer diagnosis. Envision a hero forced into this turbulent story, confronted with the harsh truth of death, yet prepared to pen a story of victory against all the odds.

      Introducing my experience. Some would describe my actions as brave, whilst others will think opposite. For me, the decision was based on life or death. I did not care about the opinion of others but in making the best decision for me and my immediate family. I was 50 years, in my prime, with hopes high and unmet desires. I got the devastating news that cancer had unexpectedly and uninvitedly entered my life. This diagnosis shook the very roots of my life and sent me into a maze of feelings, including dread, confusion, and a pressing need to find solutions.

      But amongst all of this chaos, a glimmer of optimism appeared—a faith in the natural world's ability to repel the sneaky enemy. This marked the start of my adventure to not only combat cancer but also go discontinue practices which was harmful to my health and to explore the territories of natural medicine. It's a path characterised by tenacity, fortitude, and an unshakable dedication to recovering vitality and health.

      The stark reality of traditional medicines, with their apparent drawbacks and side effects, was blatant among the search for alternative solutions. I was presented by orthodox medicine with the stark choices of crippling invasive surgery as my only option. Therefore, the groundwork was laid for a voyage that explored the fields of nutrition, herbs, complementary and alternative medicine to find a route that speaks to the soul’s deepest yearnings for healing and wholeness.

      Chapter 1: Dealing with the Diagnosis and Prognosis

      Time stood still as I listened to the doctor's words replay in my head. prostate cancer, the biopsy findings confirmed that I had prostate cancer. There was only the blunt, cold statement, you have prostate cancer. The weight of those remarks made the room appear blurry and the air heavy. Cancer. The word resonated like a thunderclap, shattering the delusion of invincibility
