#1 The choice is simple: between now and the inevitable end of our days, we can choose to live or to die. We cannot expect anyone to help us live; we must discover how to do it by ourselves. We must lead a good life, which means living in fullness without waste of time and potential, and expressing our uniqueness.
#2 The three assumptions behind my approach are that the past has provided us with important truths that are essential for our continued survival, that science provides us with the most vital information today, and that we should integrate the two.
#3 We must first understand the limits that constrain us and our experiences. We cannot ignore these limits, as we will end up denying and eventually failing. We must embrace these limits and use them to our advantage.
#4 The cycles of rest, production, consumption, and interaction are as much a part of how we experience life as our senses are. Because the nervous system can only process a small amount of information at any given moment, most of what we can experience must be experienced serially.
