Dear World . . .: What God Wants You to Know

About this ebook
Let not the world be the only picture you see. There is more. Hear what that great French general, Napoleon Bonaparte, had to say:
I marvel that whereas the ambitious dreams of myself, Caesar, and Alexander should have vanished into thin air, a Judean peasant, Jesus, should be able to stretch His hands across the centuries and control the destinies of men and nations.
It is quite evident that the desires of mankind cannot be contained between four walls. You deserve to know and hear what God has stated and revealed concerning your existence. You deserve the truth.
And from the days of John the Baptist until now the Kingdom of Heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force (Matt. 11:12, King James Version).

CHAPTER 1
A BRIEF HISTORY
W hat is it that can be said of the world? Is it simply the facts contained in the annals of history? Does the term 'world' refer to planet earth? This chapter considers these and other questions that pertain to each one remotely conscious of the existence of a world.
Hebrews 11:3 AMP
By faith we understand that the worlds [during the successive ages] were framed (fashioned, put in order, and equipped for their intended purpose) by the word of God, so that what we see was not made out of things which are visible.
It is clear from above that more than one world exists in the framework of eternity. It is further accentuated by Ephesians 1:21 where reference is made of worlds to come.
However, let us make the initial concern of this book the world in the mental framework of the reader: that with which you have to do.
Historically, the world would be the place in which mankind, or humanity, exists and functions, with terms of reference and certain commonalities across the globe.
The beloved prophet Jeremiah had close encounters with the world and described them (created worlds) in this verse:
Jeremiah 10:12 KJV
He hath made the earth by His power, He hath established the world by His wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by His discretion.
Above he says the world was established by wisdom – 'chokmah' in the original Hebrew writing. Chokmah (wisdom) denotes skill, shrewdness, prudence. This infers that the world was skilfully put in order, by God's design. The names of God ascribed in this chapter of Jeremiah is 'Yehovah' – the Self-existing One, and 'Elohiym' – plural form of God. He is the God and Father of our Lord, Jesus Christ. The Spirit of God proceeds from the Father, as explained in John 15:26. We can thus conclude that the world has a definite spiritual aspect.
Jeremiah repeats this description of the created planes in Jeremiah 51:15.
Clearly we can see a grouping of three: the earth, the world, the heaven(s). The world as an organised plane for existence has definite contact with the earth (the physical) and the heaven(s), speaking of the spiritual. Every human born into the world has contact with other human beings, and with the other created things accessible to the senses of man. Every human being born into the world also has contact with the spiritual plane.
1 Thessalonians 5:23 KJV
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly, and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Job 10:11-12 KJV
Thou hast clothed me with skin and flesh, and hast fenced me with bones and sinews. Thou hast granted me life and favour, and Thy visitation hath preserved my spirit.
The Bible, the holy scripture, is given of God as written word for your instruction and tutelage. Mankind has a learning ability and can perceive by study and observation the translated truth and knowledge in a text. Therefore pay close attention to the scripture references made. King David described the blessedness of a man who sets his attention on the Word of God. Jesus instructed His disciples to keep His Words, as it is alive and active. The Word of God is creative. Find a blank page after each chapter for citing notable scriptures.
The awareness and consciousness of the workings of the world became very real with the prophets of God, sent to a people chosen of God: the seed of Abraham, through the line of Isaac, which became known as the Hebrews and Israel. Due to their functioning as a covenanted people amongst nations of the earth, prophets were sent partly to address their dealings and conversation within the world. A covenant with God ties the covenanted party with God, to the effect that they partake directly of His provision and blessing. Note that the person who receives Christ enters into covenant with Almighty God. This latter covenant was consecrated by Jesus Christ, and based upon His blood sacrifice, resurrection and ascension. This event is the centre piece of world history and your point of reference to locate yourself in relation to the world.
Hannah, mother of Samuel, expressed this reality with the coming of the boy:
1 Samuel 2:8-10 AMP
"He raises up the poor out of the dust and lifts up the needy from the ash heap, to make them sit with nobles and inherit the throne of glory. For the pillars of the earth are the Lord's, and He has set the world upon
