    Introduction

I open with this scripture that is so prophetic for the day in which we live.

Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness and denying the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ. (Jude 1:3)

As I was editing the last few chapters of this book, in the back of my mind, I pondered how to write the introduction. Not to sound weirdly spiritual, but I felt impressed by the Holy Spirit to open with this scripture.

We, speaking of my generation and the one before us, have complained repeatedly of how the following generations have been dumbed down by the nation’s education system. Even now, most millennials do not know any of the true history of our nation and how God had a hand in the forming of our documents because to our amazement those on the left have rewritten the actual history.

An old saying came to mind, If you don’t know where you came from, you don’t know where you are going. It seemed the Lord added to this saying when he hit my heart with, And you’ll never know when you get there.

I wrote this book for several reasons but mainly because the Lord dropped the story in my heart, and I will always try to be obedient even if I find myself to be wrong. I would rather try and be wrong than not to attempt it at all.

The Apostle Peter wrote in 2 Peter 3:15–16,

And account that the long suffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

Peter knew that the depth in which Paul taught was tough for the unlearned, but here’s the problem—; what Paul taught is only the basics of being a follower of Christ, Christianity 101.

A majority of what Paul taught is not being taught to the congregations because they feel the same way Peter felt about the sayings of Paul!

In turn, the Western Christian church has been dumbed down just as the last few generations have. Church services have become the world’s largest life coach sessions in history.

Just like the education systems now teach them what to think instead of how to think, the church is doing the same. I had a pastor once say, If any of you are still sitting here five years from now then I have failed you. My job is to prepare you for ministry and you are to leave and make disciples.

The main goal of modern-day churches is to build mega churches, not the Church—mainly because those people can become loose cannons and who knows what they’ll do next! Jesus didn’t have a problem leaving loose cannons to the teaching of the Holy Spirit, and we shouldn’t either.

Every college and university in the United States has an entrance course aptly named remedial English. It is for every student at the beginning of their higher education; they cannot proceed to English 101 because they are no longer taught the standard in high schools anymore, and they can’t continue their education until they complete the remedial course!

It is the same with Christianity today. Sadly, ninety percent of the Christian leaders have not researched where doctrines originated for the past two hundred years that the early church would call heresy.

One false doctrinal seed can spread to millions. It will grow roots in those who sit under wrong pastoral teachings and do not read the Word of God for themselves and allow the Holy Spirit and discernment to guide them.

There has been a false sense of security in the teachings that almost all Christianity sit under; the majority thinks, It must be true because they have been to Bible school. So they take it as gospel, a powerless gospel at that. Sadly enough, there are Christians who live their Christian life through their pastor instead of Christ and his Word.

A few years back, my best friend and I were on the phone talking about one of the latest revelations the Holy Spirit revealed to one of us that challenged a lifelong teaching we both had. I know how this may sound, but in that moment, we realized how deceived we were and how easy we were deceived because we held other men’s knowledge and position in such high regard. The fruit of this was a powerless life! That night, we prayed that God would wipe the slate clean of what we thought we knew about him. That was the beginning because God gladly did exactly that; it was almost as if he was saying, It’s about time you asked!

With our lightning fast minds, it occurred to us that the only teacher we should have is the Holy Spirit! Teachers, prophets, and so on only sow the seeds for the revelation of God’s Word. Our hearts are the ground in which the seed is sown, and it is up to each of us to water and nurture the seed or uproot it if we find it to be false doctrine. False doctrine will only steal, kill, and destroy those who cling to it.

Imagine for a moment that you have passed from this realm to your everlasting home with the Lord. As you pass through the gates of heaven and Father Abraham is giving you the grand tour, you notice behind you an angel driving a forklift with a pallet of packages on it, following both of you through the streets of gold.

You finally tug on Abraham’s sleeve and ask, What’s the deal with the forklift following us? Abraham walks you over to the pallet and hands you one of the packages, and you notice that it has your name on it!

Surprised, you begin to open it while saying, I didn’t expect a present when I got here. This is awesome!

Abraham finally gets your attention away from the package before you get it opened and says, "Son, that gift isn’t going to do you much good here in heaven, but it doesn’t stop God from wanting you to have what he provided for his children because he paid such a dear price for it.

Looking down at the package in your hand, you then notice that every package on the pallet is addressed to you. Looking up to Abraham, you ask, I don’t understand. What are all of these?

Abraham compassionately smiles at you and says, These are all the gifts that God had provided for your life on the earth through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus that you never knew about or believed him for, but they still belonged to you.

This is just a fictional situation, but imagine if you went through the trouble to give your children something and they didn’t reach out for it and left it on the floor. Could you imagine the heartache?

This is one of the reasons that I wrote this short story.

This book only touches a small amount of doctrine that has stolen the precious gifts that the grace of God has made available to us, making sure that he was not leaving us powerless against our mortal enemy that he already has defeated, though some of us will not admit it but we live our lives as if Satan still reigns on the earth.

I pray this writing blesses you and gives strength to your walk and brings you closer to the knowledge of how great a love has been shed upon us.

I have included Biblical references throughout the chapters for your research of the claims made
