About this audiobook
What is a lady to do when her chosen rake changes her lessons in seduction to lessons of love?
Book two in the Once Upon an Accident series
Cecily Ware understands how society works. At the age of twenty-six, she has been around long enough to know that she is doomed to spinsterhood. But she refuses to go without ever knowing what it is like to be with a man. So she comes up with a wonderful plan to find a rake to teach her, complete with a list of possibilities. At the top of that list sits Douglas the Duke of Ethingham.
When he asks Lady Cecily to waltz, Douglas never expected her to request seduction, or that it would intrigue him quite as much. With each glance, each smile, each touch, he finds himself falling under her spell, unable to resist her lure. In her he finds a soul mate, someone as lonely as he is, who understands his pain, and will give herself to him without demands or expectations. But as he finds himself falling in love, he also discovers a wicked plot to kill Lady Cicely. As they race to discover who wants her dead, they fall deeper in love, leaving them to decide if the lessons in seduction could lead to a lifetime of happiness.

Melissa Schroeder
From an early age, USA Today Bestselling author Melissa loved to read. First, it was the books her mother read to her including her two favorites, Winnie the Pooh and the Beatrix Potter books. She cut her preteen teeth on Trixie Belden and read and reviewed To Kill a Mockingbird in middle school. It wasn’t until she was in college that she tried to write her first stories, which were full of angst and pain, and really not that fun to read or write. After trying several different genres, she found romance in a Linda Howard book. Since her first published book, Grace Under Pressure, Mel has had over 60 short stories, novellas, and novels published. She has written in genres ranging from historical to contemporary to futuristic and has worked with 8 publishers although she handles most of her publishing herself. She is best known for her Harmless and Santini series. After years of following her military husband around the country and world, Mel happily lives with her family in horse and wine country in Northern Virginia.

What our readers think
Readers find this title to be a good series with an enjoyable story. They liked watching Cecily fall for the Duke and appreciated getting to know the Duke better. Although some readers found the second book not as good as the first, they still enjoyed it. There was a good balance of action and relationship development, although some felt there could have been more focus on the relationship towards the end.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I did guess the mystery from the start... I did like the little twist!
I much preferred this narrator to the previous one! - Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5What chapter 3 is about? Etc etc etc etc etc

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Seriously desperate woman. Who allows someone to try have sex with her knowing damn well he thinking of having sex with someone else. So sad how she continues to give her self to such a man whore.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This is a good series. Fund second book. LIked both hero and heroine.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Definitely not as good as the first. But still enjoyed it. Too much action stuff for me and not enough relationship stuff especially towards the end.
