We aim to select global building projects that are either of top quality or interesting or ideally both. We cover completed city architecture, new building designs, architectural exhibitions and competitions across the globe.

Buildings can be traditional or contemporary. Architectural projects from all cultures are welcome. Projects can be searched by country, city, type or by architect.

For some cities – such as Rio de Janeiro or Tel Aviv – we do not have specific city folders so projects for these locations are searchable within the national folders, namely Brazil and Israel for this pair of examples.

The majority of the geographical links on this page point to sets of chronologically-arranged posts. This is a WordPress website and its functionality allows every single post within a geographical folder to be found by scrolling through posts from newest to oldest. Because we were established online pre-WordPress, in 2000, we already had a site architecture (taxonomy), that was based on alphabetical listings. We retain these and they are all available on the e-architect website – see the link below:

e-architect features a wide selection of architectural styles and types, not just contemporary and International Style. For example we have PostModern, Neoclassical, Modern, traditional and Neo-Gothic buildings on the site. The predominant style could be termed ‘contemporary’ but within that pigeonhole is a wide range of design approaches from decorative to minimal.
