Prey 2017 has nothing to do with an iconic first-person shooter of the same name that was released back in 2006. What they do share is a genre. The new reimagined game is also FPS and much more than that. There are elements of horror, sci-fi thriller, and even survival if you enable appropriate toggles in-game settings. The story arc depicts Morgan Yi — a specimen who undergoes top-secret experiments on Talos I space station. As expected, something went wrong during one of those experiments and a vicious alien lifeform broke free bringing havoc and destruction. It's up to you to confront it, unravel the shady back story behind the powerful corporation, and save humanity. Otherwise, you can choose another way as the gameplay is non-linear. Several endings are depending on the choices you made during the campaign. Without giving much away, Prey is a go-to game for those who miss good old singleplayer shooters with plot twists and a detailed environment. Several DLCs expand the narrative and throw in new challenges. Check them out if you've beaten the main game!
