Bonkyl Kirk

More formally Bonkyl and Preston Parish Kirk, a Church of Scotland church, built in 1820, adjacent to the site of an earlier 11thC church, and with the remains of it. The apse, all that remains of the earlier church, and now the burial ground of the Billie family, is to the right. Bunkle, Buncle, Boncil and Bonckle are alternative spellings LinkExternal link.
